I was VERY displeased with the quality of customer service I received last night. My family and I went in to grab a single gallon of paint and we were there for over an hour the lady behind the counter was clearly high on meth and was all over the place(my daughter was with me, that was fun to explain). The only check out available was self checkout and I only saw 1 other employee on the floor while we were there and he was brand new and being trained. I almost said screw it and left but my paint had already been mixed, we will NEVER return there EVER again. read more

Horrible!!! I went in to purchase a security door and arrange to have it installed. I paid for measurements and was told that I would get a call in 48 hours. 4 days later and no call. I went back to the store on the fifth day they apologized and said someone would call me within 24 hours. Some days later no call. I returned to the store on the eighth day received another apology and was told that someone would call me within the next few hours. Today is the 11th day and I am returning to the store to get my money back for the measurements. On my previous returned to the store I asked to speak to the manager Paul but he was not available. Lowes, if you can't take care of your customers I'm sure there's someone out there that will! Horrible experience! read more

I shop at Lowes a lot (4 times this week), but that has all changed after yesterdays experience at the Fairfield location. I needed some cheap siding for my chick coop so I looked online at the Vacaville location since it is about 5 minutes closer. Online showed they had some on sale for $26.92 per sheet, but they were out. They give you an option of "ready faster nearby" so I clicked that and saw Fairfield had 92 in stock. After finding the product on the shelf (with no pricing label as with hand their wood) I waiting for over 15 minutes for someone to operate their saw to cut to sizes needed. When it rang up at the register, it was $39.92 per sheet! I checking out I noticed the pricing and questioned the cashier and showed them the pricing online. I was told Vacaville and Fairfield have different pricing and since the wood was already cut it could not be returned. Their system online when it says "ready faster nearby" does not say it is a different price. There was no price listed on the shelf, so no way of knowing the price was different. And they would not price match from their own location 10 minutes away! Total BS. Looks like Home Depot will be getting more of my business! read more

Be careful when you purchase your extended warranty on large appliances at Lowes. You have to fight for each benefit you are promised. For instance, they reimburse you one-half the cost of a filter for your refrigerator every six months - if the filter is purchased at Lowes. Of course, Lowes often either doesn't carry filters that are compatible with many major manufacturers, or they are out of stock. So, every six months what should be a simple process turns into a mountain of phone calls and emails - if you want to be reimbursed. Finding someone in your area who is trained in your brand, is competent and is "authorized" by Lowes to perform repairs on your appliance is also extremely difficult and very time consuming. read more

I was in the need for some wood for a fence that had just fallen during a few days of harsh winds. I had three posts go down and I needed advice for installing new ones because dioxin up the cement from the old ones would be a lot more time consuming. I decided to put in four post next to the three old posts and Lowe's had everything I needed. Plenty of wood in stock and the people there where helpful and very informative about the longevity of the pressure treated posts, it made me feel confident that I was making a good decision on long lasting materials. read more

This Lowe's had horrible customer service by Lee who was the customer service register. She didn't have the sku to ring up an item and tried to charge me some random price. When I told her the right price she got upset. She spoke so rude and didn't say thank you and the young man with blonde hair who was working with her was just as rude. After having great customer service with misty in the nursery I was in shock to come in contact with Lee and the little blonde hair boy. Home Depot it is from now on. read more

Waited 20 minutes for someone to get a cabinet off a upper shelf. They called and called. Finally a lady shows up talking with another customer. Asked her if I could get help waiting for so long. She said she was at lunch and just getting back , shouldn't the manager manage the business and let the other employees know if a customer needs help in that department and the clerk is at lunch they have to help in the other areas?? Not only that all I needed was just someone to get it off he shelf I didn't even have questions. Weak! It always seems when I go to lowes trying to get help is like pulling teeth! I would have just went to Home Depot but they didn't have the cabinet I needed. Customer service sucks when you need help. read more

The manager Anthony went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I was looking for even though it was literally on a top shelf wrapped in a plastic on a pallet. His customer service skills need to be commended because they are exemplary. I will drive further to patronize this store over another hardware store that is literally 2 minutes from me. read more

This one is empty. I had to walk all the way to the front because the garden gates were locked. I saw ground cover flats in the front by the gate but could not find the plant i was looking for so i had to go around. I asked if ground cover flats were all located outside. The guy said no and POINTED to the area by the succulents. I could not find it. Customer service. The other ones i've gone to walked me over to be sure they had things. Had to cancel it was hard to walk. Won't come to this one again. read more

Lowes is just around the corner from my house. I ran out of pellet fuel and of course I went to the closest home improvement store. I walked in and was greeted by very professional customer service. I asked where could I find pellet fuel. Not only did the associate tell me but she walked me over to the area where it was located. They didn't have the type of pellet fuel that I needed so the associate offered to look it up online for me. Now that's customer service! Instead of naming the competitors name, she turned the computer around and showed me where to purchase the fuel. She said we don't sell this item here but now we are going to have to tell the vendors that we need to purchase this item for our store. She was awesome. Thanks Lowe for your great customer service. After dealing with Home Depot and being displeased I returned to Lowes. I had the fortune of meeting one exceptional employee who changed my opinion of the whole store. Now it's my preferred place to shop for my home improvement needs. The store is rarely packed, like home depot is. There seems to always be someone who has some expertise in the area in which you may have questions. The military discount is great for those that have served and it's nice to see someone recognize that. Lastly, I love the MyLowes card that keeps all of your receipts on file so you can make returns without receipts easily. read more

I am going to give Lowe's Appliances in Fairfield, CA a 5 star review for customer service perseverance (the store reps truly went the extra mile and bent over backwards for us through our problems in buying a new washing machine). However, I must be honest and share some serious ugliness along the way. So maybe this review can serve as both praise and something for them to reflect upon for improving the quality of the washing machine products and loner processes we experienced. 1. We purchased a Whirlpool WTW8500DC from them and it made a horrible sound, so we returned it, and they put a replacement on order. It was broken and did not work. Next, they sent us a loner machine (a Maytag) for us to use while the replacement Whirlpool which broke was on replacement order. The loner was broken and even louder, it literally made me jump back in fear as soon as I heard its broken sound, it sounded like the alarm system going off during an alien apocalypse: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7FNVUj3yU8 3. Next, they sent another loner machine (a Samsung). However, the plastic threads (as is common with most washing machine brands) on one of the hookups on back of the machine were chewed away and the installer could not attach the hose to it. 4. They admitted that the loner machines they sent were actually machines that were returned by other customers (I do question and wonder if our original machine was also a returned machine). Lowes Fairfield sent out their in-store appliance rep to give us a new loner machine (a Roper) straight out of the box and their lead appliance in-store rep was there to hook it up and ensure it worked. And it did and we used it for a couple of weeks while we tried to determine which brand we should purchase and which would be the most reliable (we researched that Maytag and Whirlpool are traditionally reliable, however we also saw some trends in our research that indicated that they their reliability has been steadily been decreasing over the years). In the end, we ordered an LG with Lowes Fairfield and so far it is working. The store reps definitely gave us their best efforts persistently to help us and would not let us go off dissatisfied to buy a machine elsewhere. However, the management within the Fairfield store (or Lowes corporate) needs to have a better replacement/loner process or policy. A customer should never get a machine that was returned by another customer unless that machine is thoroughly tested and verified working and operational. We spent a lot of time on finally getting a washing machine purchased. In the end it worked out, but lots of time and emotional energy was spent because of a broken process. I am giving the review 5-stars for the customer service persistence, not for the quality of replacement/loner process though (which needs to be improved). Most customers would have requested a refund, runoff, and shopped elsewhere if they had to go through this. read more

Actually had people in appliance department which was shocking - decided to get a new microwave after they told us we needed to call and setup another appointment with the repair guy- that guy only check the outlet. I had bought a washer from Lowe's in Fairfield California it was supposed to be delivered the next day between 330 and 530 then they called and said between 1130 and 130 they'll be here they were a few minutes late no big deal the guy driving the truck was not very nice or polite The lady in the store that sold me the washer said they would hook it up the guy got here and said no we don't then I convinced him to put the drain hose on and he grab my pliers and scratch the top of my washer when he put them on my washer when he was done as he brought the washer up the driveway the washer was bouncing around on the appliance dolly and the guy was very short with me not very good customer service I Would recommend just find someone to help you load it in your truck and unload it so you don't have to deal with these guys delivering it and being rude read more

I bought a new Refrigerator from Lowes, they scheduled the delivery for today 7/18/2020 but can't give a time frame until night before. I work in a hospital and had to request the time off for this. Last night I get the text it will be delivered between 230pm-630pm today. At 445pm, I get a call that they now can't deliver today due to BOTH trucks breaking down, but can deliver Monday. I WORK and cannot request another day off at this short notice. Neither Lowes nor the delivery company care about their customers to try to resolve this hardship. I either suck it up and try to find someone who can be here for me or I go longer without a Fridge so they deliver when I can be here. DO NOT EVER BUY FROM LOWES, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT A PRIORITY TO THEM. read more

I just was shopping for a new garage door yesterday and LOWES Fairfield, CA representatives took approximately one hour of my time to tell me that there was positively NO WAY that my new garage door could be installed in less than 3-4 weeks. I was told that there are no companies in Solano County that keep such new garage doors in stock because the doors are so big. NOT TRUE. I just left R&W Garage Doors in Vacaville - it took them approximately 10 minutes to show me the many doors they have IN STOCK (including the door I want!) and to write up a quote, which out-competes LOWES in terms of price. The R&W Garage Doors representative is on his way to my home right now to install our new garage door TODAY - less than one hour from when I walked into the door of R&W Garage Doors! read more

I ordered a dishwasher and its hose accessory online today. The dishwasher was to be delivered but for some reason I had to pickup the accessory hose. However i don't drive any longer so pickup was going to be a hassle for me. I called the local Fairfield store several times to see whether the accessory could be delivered but my phone calls were shunted off to nowhere. I then called their 1-800 number, but we had to repeat the order number five times before they were able to find the order so we could cancel. Even then they could provide no confirmation number of our cancellation, so I won't know if it is canceled until the dishwasher doesn't show up tomorrow. This is not the way to operate an online business in today's world. No wonder Lowes' sales were low last quarter while Home Depot's were great. Bad store, incompetent staff, and poor organization. We will never shop at Lowes again. read more

Lowe's Home improvement is the wrong name for this store it should be Lowe's customer service improvement. I was shopping for a refrigerator and made my way into the appliance center. I walked over to the associate and asked about counter depth refrigerators but the salesperson wouldn't take the time to show me what was available. She said the signs would tell me what was counter depth and they costed more. It doesn't seem that Lowe's trains their associates in Customer service or making sales. it was "help yourself" I'm to busy day. I later asked her about pricing on a refrigerator instead of getting up she just pointed to where I need to look for the prices. As I wandered around looking for the counter depth refrigerators I was trying to get information on one that I liked ( which was over $4000. I priced it on Google ) i wanted to check on availability of and LG refrigerator and as I turned the corner to get help, there were now Three associates gathered around a desk talking about personal business rather than helping customers. I decided I would rather spend my money elsewhere rather than interrupt the gossip session. As I walked away the were 5 other people waiting near the computer waiting to be helped. I told them " Good Luck " the ladies where not concerned about customers because they are more interested in talking right now. I've been to this store for other items and in various departments and It seems as if these associates dodge and hide to avoid customers needing help. How do you make your daily quotas with lane people working here ? I won't shop here again. read more

Showed up at Lowe's on a Wednesday afternoon at 2:15 PM. Could not find anybody to help me in the plumbing/shower door department. So I did hunt down somebody who paged the employee who is in charge of that department and she was nowhere to be found. No one could locate her, I had some simple questions about ordering a custom shower door. I was planning on spending $1000 and could not find anybody to answer simple questions like" how long is the order process?, How long will it take before I can get someone out there to measure?, I had a measurements from another glass company on hand, and was wondering if they would just take those measurements to speed up the process. All the employee did was hand me a pamphlet. I had already read it that information online and I knew what I wanted to buy. Ended up spending 45 minutes and getting nowhere. STAY AWAY!! The WORST Lowes ever. I ordered from Fairfield Lowes. I got an email from Vacaville Lowes that my order is ready. No calls. I call Fairfield and ask what's going on, she told me my order is ready to pick up from Fairfield. My husband gets a call that it's in Vacaville. I call curbside pickup in Fairfield and she tells me I have to get it from Vacaville and if i need to return it, their new policy is that they can't take returns from any other Lowes, that they only accept returns if you bought it from Fairfield. What kind of BS is that? They probably didn't want to pick my order. Get off your lazy ass and and do your job. Thank you Vacaville Lowes. We'll just go to you for our orders. read more

Lowe's is becoming to be my 2nd in line go to place for anything home related. In my opinion, they are not as "construction wholesale" type place. They don't seem to have as much as their competitor, but it works. The associates are helpful and friendly, (once you manage to find one). They also give military service members a 10% discount, which is great. A penny saved can add up to real money! read more

After an awful experience with the Vacaville Lowe's and our appliance purchase, I was convinced to go down to Fairfield Lowe's and speak to the manager. Paul was more than helpful and should be an example for all of Lowe's management to strive for. Paul took care of our situation with no hesitation or delay. We were treated with respect and kindness. This is how a store should treat it's customers. I was going to stray away from Lowe's entirely, but Paul has renewed my faith. Lori was also a great point of contact for this store. Love how close this is to my new house. Staff is very helpful and you usually get asked 5 or more times if you need help walking around the store. Being a new store, the staff is lacking in knowledge on items and their location. Just left Home Depot because they didn't want to be of any service and close at 8 on Sundays and so we looked on the Internet which told us that Lowes was open till nine. We had over to Lowe's all the way across town about 8 miles get there and they're closed and it's only a couple minutes after eight. We end up driving around 25 miles to try and get an air conditioner for my father-in-law who's 75 years old 380 pounds and his house is 108° and all they have to do is make sure that the website has the correct information on it. BOY has Lowe's changed over the years at this location. I used to get excited going there because of the customer service (even though prices were slightly higher than Home Depot). Today, they lost my business. I needed a several trees for the front of my house. I walked into the garden section and saw an employee there. I asked if she could assist me selecting several trees as I had questions. Her reply "oh just read the label." No that's not what I'm asking. So she called for a "tree specialist." This older gal came out and seemed out of breath. I asked if she could assist me. She looked at me and said, "there's four people ahead of you." Really? I mean c'mon Lowes. You've sunken to new levels. And I blame management for NOT preparing their employees on customer service and not enough staff. So if the store manager is reading this, please better prepare your employees. To think, I'm doing a kitchen renovation before the end of the year. Do you think I'm shopping here?! Nope. So, I'll stick to Home Depot. At least there I know what to expect. read more

This place would have gotten 5 stars from me but the day shift people suck. I only come here after 7 pm now because of the great employees that work the night shift. We had some lumber cut and Efferin went out of his way to help us find the correct boards needed and even cut them into intricate pieces and triple checked his measurements. I had to come back on 8/22, 5minutes before closing on a Saturday night to get some nails for the nail gun and had a hard time finding galvanized nails. A man in the department quickly searched the database and had them for me in 2 minutes. I think his name started with a G. Shop here at night if you need help with things or have any questions. Shop during the day if you want to deal with people who are just there to get a check. read more

After trying to find a specific wall oven model, I reluctantly ventured to Lowe's after a terrible experience a year ago. I purchased a wall oven and a refrigerator. Even though the model on the website said it would be delivered by 12/7 the salesperson said it wasn't in the store and it needed to be ordered from the manufacturer and it could be 2-4 additional weeks before it came in. This was Black Friday and we wanted the oven before Christmas. So already we were off to another Lowe's bad start. On 12/14 we got a call that both items were in and ready for delivery. Lowe's said they were going to deliver both items on 12/16. I needed to purchase installation for the oven which I did. But then I was told installation was separate from delivery so installation would call me on 12/17 to schedule. Then I was told that delivery was going to bring both items, but I didn't want the oven just sitting in my floor for days waiting for installation so they agreed to have the installers bring the oven. Now 12/16 rolls around and BOTH items are delivered. AND the delivery guys say that the installation guys won't take the old oven for disposal so delivery will come back to pick it up once installation finishes (still no date for that!). Which means now my OLD oven will also sit in my floor for days. I try calling Lowe's but four people tell me four different things. Finally on 12/18 the installer comes and DOES take the old unit with him. I try Lowe's by phone during all this and ask for the manager. A woman comes on the line so I want to confirm I'm speaking to the manager because the manager's photo in the store is a man. She replies, in a rather snarky tone, "I'm A manager" implying she's not THE manager. I start to tell her my issues between delivery and installation and when I finish talking, the line is still open but there's no one speaking. I don't know if I'm on hold (no music) or she set the phone down or what. No one ever came back on the line. When I go to Lowe's corporate websites to send an email, there's NO EMAIL!! I can Tweet or send an instagram (neither of which I use) but I can't email the freaking company about their lousy store. read more

No cashiers. Over 20 people running around and one cashier. This place continues to go down hill, help that knows nothing. I spend a lot of money there and I expect better customer service. I'm giving this 5 stars for the excellent customer service provided by Dean in the Appliance dept. He had so much information and really helped me pick out the right dryer.
