I've always enjoyed the customer service, which is why I go out of my way to visit this location. However, that changed when I attempted to buy new countertops in December. I walked in and spoke to their specialist Felicia and explained that I was ready to purchase countertops. She seemed hesitant to help but did so anyway. It didn't bother me at the time because I knew what I wanted and didn't really need customer service. Just someone to get things moving. After my countertops were measured by Counter Fit, before I knew it, over a month had passed. I never heard a thing from either of them and decided to visit Lowes to see where we were at. Well, she told me I wasn't in their system, FANTASTIC! So she had to contact Counter Fit, apparently to get my information and said she would e-mail me that evening. A few more days pass and I finally get a quote but notice there's a mistake. I figured it was no problem, I go back to the store with the intent that it could be corrected and I could pay for the services. Nope, no one there was qualified to help me. My fault for showing up unannounced but poor staffing and training on the stores part. The nice woman and gentleman there at the time helped me as best they could and I got Felicias e-mail. I e-mailed her that evening and pointed out the mistake and my willingness to pay. She responded the next day, said she would fix the error and we would have to set up an appointment to sign the contract. No problem! I e-mailed her back, gave her a window I could do and two days that worked best for me. Never heard from her again. So today I decide to go back to Lowes, hoping I could sign the contract but apparently she was busy. I was subsequently told to "Take a number". No Felicia, I will not be taking any more numbers but I will be taking my business elsewhere. 3 months wasted, I'm out $75 for Counter Fits services, and still have no countertops. Lesson learned, best to cut out the middleman and get your countertops direct. Two stars because my other experiences here have overall been pleasant. read more

Unfriendly customer service! Earlier this week, I needed to purchase an item from the front that an associate had to get out of a locked up cabinet, when I ask what check stand do I pay for my product at , she just walked away from me with her back towards me and set it down on the check stand area and mumbled something as she walked back to the customer service area where she and some of her other coworkers were standing around talking. I did get a wave and smile from one employee though because I know her (Angie). It was only around 10 AM so it's not like they were really busy or something. EVERYTIME I shop here I always have to run around looking for help and when I do spot an employee they seem to run away from me, there was only one employee , Nico that helped me in lumber and come to find out that he was let go. he was the only one who would go out of his way and help me in other departments. Purchased a Washer & Dryer 0n 12/29/2022. Scheduled for delivery on 1/5/2023. I received a call about an hr before the scheduled delivery time that a team member was ill and had to go home, but another team could deliver it between 6 & 8 that night. That would not work for me, so we rescheduled for the next day. No problem. On 1/6, the team arrived, removed the old units, and brought in the new ones. When I saw that they had placed the units in the opposite positions of the old units, I asked them to switch the placement. I was told they couldn't because the cord on the washer was too short. I didn't compare the length of the new cord to the one just removed. Since he couldn't place them in the same position, I asked them to switch the door on the dryer. (I had asked the salesperson about that before purchasing it, so I knew it was possible.) However, the installer (Kev) told me that that was impossible with the model I had. The only way I could have the dryer door open on the other side was to get a different model. The installer continued the hookup, turned on the washer and the dryer, and left. as I gathered the user guides they left on the units, I noticed that the dryer duct was only partially installed. I went to the store and shared this information with Customer Service. They gave me a number to call Customer Care. I opened a Case and was told I would receive a call within 24 hrs. On 1/7, I called Customer Care because I had not received a call and was told the case was being escalated. On 1/9, I called Customer Care because I had not received a call and was told that the case was being escalated again. On 1/10, I called Customer Care because I had not received a call and was told that the case was being escalated again. The Customer Care representative shared that "escalate" means the case is sent directly to the Store or Regional manager. I went to Lowe's in Fairfield, asked for the manager, and was directed to an Assistant Manager at the Return register. I shared my situation. He took my name and phone number and said he would try to get me on the schedule for Thursday. On 1/11, I called Customer Care because I had yet to receive a call to indicate if I was or was not on the schedule for Thursday. The call was "escalated" again. I called the store manager, Antonio G., and left a voice message detailing my situation. I then called the store and asked for the Store manager. The call was given to the Assistant manager with whom I had spoken on 1/10. He proceeded to share that he had no access to their third-party installers' scheduling. They (third-party installers) would give me a call. A few hours later, the third-party installers gave me a call with a scheduled time for Thursday. On 1/12, the installers arrived and saw the initial issue, "improperly install dryer duct connection." They also shared that there was NO reason that the units could not be placed as I asked, and ALSO, there was NO reason that the dryer door could not be switched to the other side. They switched the positions of the units, properly connected the dryer duct, and switched the dryer door. MO and ALEX were awesome. They were the best experience I had dealing with Lowe's. Only positive things say about them! Had I experienced on 1/6 what I experienced today, my rating would be a 5! Discovering that someone just spoke "untruths" and then others didn't bother to make a return call in more than six days when part of their policy is "call back in 24 hours" has not settled well. One of my mom's favorite stores to peruse through. We always head straight for the garden center if there isn't anything in particular that we need to buy. That being said, their collection of SUCCULENTS is top notch. Lots of variety, colors, shapes, and sizes to choose from... and super affordable! I have a slight obsession with these plants. They're easy to take care of and brighten up my desk at work. Smallest plants are $1.95 each. Next size up is $3.95 each. Larger pots are about $6. We like to pick up a few of the little guys every time we come here, and every time we've been really pleased with the quality and price! Lowe's also has a great collection of outdoor flowers, plants, and ready-to-plant fruit trees. Inside is very spacious, clean, and organized. Their staff have been nice to us so far - always helping us look up an item, etc. Overall, great place to go for home improvement projects and gardening tools! So that was the first one, then my door wasn't the size I asked for, here we go again, we returned and they charged us MORE BY THEIR MISTAKE, good thing, Natali adjust the price and gave us the difference of the price back. After all this drama I was sick of them. We had some wood left so we decided to return it. So we did, SURPRISE they were giving us LESS than what we paid for because they said someone did "PRICE ADJUSTMENT" not to mention that the money we have never received. Our washing machines transmission went out during my last load of laundry this past weekend and was very kindly told by another company whom I also yelped/found on Yelp...that my washer was done for at such a young age! I'm giving Lowe's a 4 star only cause of the 3rd party delivery. I had a delivery date and as we waited all day DSI Logistics cancelled out delivery without us knowing.. Lowe's was upset with it and try to make it right by rescheduling our delivery and again no delivery. DSI logistic is making Lowe's look bad. Dean , Carter and Johanna all help me out every time I went in to see how they can fix this. Thanks to your staff who made it right.. As frustrating as this was I knew this wasn't they're fault.. I sent the following email 8:00am, Friday July 14th and have STILL not received a response. I called the store yesterday and the manager, Camille, was very nice and tried to help, but the fact still remains that I thought I was going to have the correct water heater on Thursday for a Friday install. I purchased a grill on sale yesterday night and the people at the customer service are mean (especially a thick woman), except for Pamela who is very nice and pleasant to customer. I open an account to get 20% discount as posted (hanging above). I was told I cannot get the 20% because the item was already on sale. Moreover, one of the CS staff told us to speak to Richard if we can arrange to pick up later as we don't have the truck at the moment. When we came back to the CS, the thick woman told us that it doesn't matter what he said ( in a mean way ) we have to pick it up right away. When I came back again, I paid it first and then got the grill. I was already by the door, and that same lady asked me about my receipt. Ordered mirrored closet doors , gave them specific measurements and what style we wanted. Waited weeks for them to arrive . Everything about it was wrong. Wrong measurements and wrong style ... even had rust on the mirror . Paid a good amount of money just to get the opposite of what we ordered. We went to buy some wood for a fire, the sign said $9.98, we thought that sounded low for the box so we asked a worker who was rolling a rug right near us, she had an attitude and was very short with us, however she confirmed the price was $9.98, my husband took the box of wood to the customer service area and asked them, it took 2 employees and a phone call before they could answer, then they told us they were sold individually and opened the box, called over another worker and said they needed to unbox the wood. This store needs to clearly mark their sale or clearance items. Chose 3 2.5 qt plants on a rack that was clearly marked 3/$12. Did not ring up that way; instead at their normal price of $5.98. Was also going to buy a cute spring floor mat that was clearly marked as a clearance item 50% off of lowest price. The tag on the item was an everyday sale price of $9.98. I even double checked with the sales people in the section and they said it would be 50% off of that price. But it rang up at $9.98. Even though I mentioned it to the cashier, she could not adjust the prices. I didn't want to wait for people to check the items. As a result, Lowe's lost a sale. Although it's not a huge amount, it causes me to rethink coming here for items. read more

I thought ok well ill just go ask someone in the garden section if anyone can help since they were outside already and i could see them from my car. The first guy i went to says oh yeah no problem just go to customer service and they can help you find someone to jump it. I get to customer service and get told by the little manager that im a liability and he wont let any of his employee help give me a jump, just did not care or willing at all to help me. omg, I seriously have a struggling love/ hate relationship with being a first time homeowner and when it comes to home improvement, I heavily rely on the assistance of the employees. Going to Lowes, man their service is a hit or miss when it comes to their customer service. Lately, I've been going there to get sprinkling system replacements, little bolts, a few nails, and gardening items. So... today I needed to get a shut off valve for an inline sprinkling system. Simple question, straight to the point... Customer service manager, "Greg" or "Gorges" something along that line, gave me the worst attitude that I couldn't seem to brush off. If anything, I typically have a reasonable amount of patience simply because I've worked customer services before but the minute he used his finger to tell me to go somewhere (like a dog).. I damned near lost it. If anything, this place needs workers that are fully familiar with the items that they're selling, a good sense of customer service, and the ability to multitask. read more

I shop at Lowes a lot (4 times this week), but that has all changed after yesterdays experience at the Fairfield location. I needed some cheap siding for my chick coop so I looked online at the Vacaville location since it is about 5 minutes closer. Online showed they had some on sale for $26.92 per sheet, but they were out. They give you an option of "ready faster nearby" so I clicked that and saw Fairfield had 92 in stock. After finding the product on the shelf (with no pricing label as with hand their wood) I waiting for over 15 minutes for someone to operate their saw to cut to sizes needed. When it rang up at the register, it was $39.92 per sheet! I checking out I noticed the pricing and questioned the cashier and showed them the pricing online. I was told Vacaville and Fairfield have different pricing and since the wood was already cut it could not be returned. Their system online when it says "ready faster nearby" does not say it is a different price. There was no price listed on the shelf, so no way of knowing the price was different. And they would not price match from their own location 10 minutes away! Total BS. Looks like Home Depot will be getting more of my business! read more

Horrible!!! I went in to purchase a security door and arrange to have it installed. I paid for measurements and was told that I would get a call in 48 hours. 4 days later and no call. I went back to the store on the fifth day they apologized and said someone would call me within 24 hours. Some days later no call. I returned to the store on the eighth day received another apology and was told that someone would call me within the next few hours. Today is the 11th day and I am returning to the store to get my money back for the measurements. On my previous returned to the store I asked to speak to the manager Paul but he was not available. Twice I have had to purchase a refrigerator this year. Once for my personal home and the second for my wife's job. The only two stores locally that actually carry refrigerators in stock at the store is Lowes and Sears. This review is for Lowes. The wait and attitude coming from the staff is amazing. You walk into a Home Depot and you are greeted immediately with a smile and a "May I help you?". You walk into this store and you are lucky to see an employee. When you do find someone you can tell with the short answers and none excistent smile that they have no initiative to help or even wanting to be there. Do yourself a favor and go to Sears first and then here as a last resort.
