In 2022 we bought an oven from Lowes in Simi Valley. They convinced us to open a Lowes American Express credit card and we did. When we got the bill, they had charged us for three ovens. We put it in dispute, but here it is 2024 and it still is not resolved. Today we had to cancel ALL our American Express credit cards as they said they had not received all the paper work they needed in the dispute time frame. That's crazy!!! And not true. We have been fighting this for 2 years, but the manager I talked to today at Amex was no help and I said just cancel all our Amex cards. What a fantastic experience!!! I am fixing up my bathroom and was struggling to find the right parts for an older toilet and was pleasantly greeted by Barbara who was working the section. She explained to me what I needed and suggested I have a neighbor take a couple pictures of my existing setup. Once I asked her the pictures she told me what I needed to but and how it installs. This isn't the lowes that's closest to me but I came here on a friend's recommendation and I'm glad I did. This place is all about customer satisfaction and boy did I get a sample of it. So here's the thing... if you're going to have a self checkout... then you need to let me self check out and not accuse me of stealing. The store already has 2 and a half stars so it's clearly got problems. This is the third time that I have gone to self check out and Jessica (pretty sure that's her name) has not only gotten irritated that we started checking out ourselves (isn't that what I'm supposed to do?) but also accused me and my family of not ringing up everything in our cart. Last time it was in old paint can I brought in to match that she said I didn't ring up, it wasn't until I showed her the paint on the outside that she walked away. We ordered some landscaping bricks from Lowes. A day after they were delivered, we changed our project a bit and needed one pallet less of the bricks to complete to new design. I reached out to Lowe's to pay for and arrange a pick up of one pallet of unused, unopened landscape bricks only to be told that I would need to bring them back to the store myself. The manager couldn't even be bothered to come to the phone. If you sell something and provided delivery services for it, then you should certainly have a means for picking up returns via this method as well. Instead I am told to rent a truck and bring them back myself, are you kidding! I will never purchase another thing from Lowe's. The Lowes customer service is nonexistent and they don't care about their customers. They are quick and happy to take your money but if any issues arise or returns are needed, you are on your own! Based solely on my son & wife's experience purchasing a pellet grill on Friday 06/10/22 around noon. I am a licensed contractor in the area, if I go to Lowe's it's for convenience and happy helpful people, the competition really sucks. My son & wife went to this location to purchase a pellet grill / smoker for a Father's Day gift to me, they offered a $90 discount if my son opened a credit card and he excitedly took them up on this, the cashier decided she was having none of this! Her attitude became very harsh and dismissive. I ordered doors with Robin, their sales rep back in July 2021. It's now January 2022 and yes both doors are installed. However the screen that was sent over wasn't for my doors so I don't have a screen yet, it's coming in February, hopefully. I was also over sold trim for the job by $250+ and they haven't followed through to pickup the return. These doors were expensive and it's going to take 7 months to get them finished, possibly. I went to Lowe's about 2 weeks ago and I ordered a cooktop and I told them that I am moving I'm selling my house and I really need this cooktop to be installed so to make the matters short they send the measurement crew to measure my cooktop and guess what they lost the measurement so a week later they came to measure and the cooktop that they sent was a wrong measurement they wanted to charge me like over $200 to make a bigger hole in my kitchen so I ordered the right cooktop with the right measurement through DJ and he was a very nice guy and he helped me but the problem they send the installation crew they said they come and they install your cooktop so make the matters short I had an appointment and they never showed up and I called them they said well we had an installer had an emergency I said you couldn't call me I spend my whole day waiting at home for you guys to come on install these are the same people who do the measurement the installers they have they don't do it through Lowe's they have some other company that come and installed and so I wasted my whole day so I went back to Lowe's today and the manager was there next to DJ his name is Bill and I told him the situation he said well if for three times we screw up we should give you a refund and take the cooktop back I see is that how you deal with your customers manager what kind of a manager are you so I got very mad that in this the customer doesn't come first when you have management that insult you and talk to you like that is not right so I'm letting you guys know this guy Bill he's a horrible guy he's a horrible manager and do not do business with people who don't put their customers first read more

I was standing there for quite a long time and they didn't seem to care even when i asked them to call somebody over , when the person finally showed up, didn't seem to care and their defense was like... you're not here waiting for a long time! Note to self don't go to Lowe's if you don't have to! Went on Monday night at 7pm for two screws. Found them pretty quickly. Then took a little over 1/2 hour to checked out! Only self service and I couldn't get the part to scan. No one to help. I went to customer service and they told me they couldn't help to go back to self service and someone would help me. About 10 more minutes and a women came over and helped. Felt sorry for her. You could tell she was overwhelmed. Not short staffed since I saw multiple people just walking not doing much of anything. I would give the Simi Valley store 5 stars for things you can pick up yourself. Their pathetic delivery service results in a one star rating. We ordered a washer/dryer combination from Simi and got a nice price and efficient customer services. Kudos to Simi. We were scheduled for next day delivery with a window of 8AM to 8PM. Hmmmm. In the morning, we were informed that the updated window was 4PM to 8PM. Then we were told it might come as late as 11PM. Then they told us it was delayed 2 more days. Not acceptable. I found our that the appliance order was being fulfilled by the Pacoima store, using their contracted delivery service, DSI Logistics. I called several times to Pacoima to find out what was going on and had a continuous string of hang-ups and transfers to people who couldn't help. I finally talked to a manager who said the two day delay was the best we could hope for. Very disappointing. Lowes Pacoima, DSI Logistics... you should be embarrassed by your performance and total ignorance of customer service. But I somehow suspect you really don't care... and it shows. Very easy to reach said it'll be delivered on Friday and that's it. Painless. One last comment. I called their customer service department one day and I left about six messages that they have a system that will call you back when it's your time in the queue. I bought a GE LED outdoor light for $11.78 that box says; "13-year life" on Jan 5th. 2023. It stopped working on Apr 7th 2023. When I tried to return item, they said no returns after 90 days. They can't match the color of the last cabinet but Lowes Simi Valley states my kitchen project is completed. I beg to differ if your last cabinet color does not match and is not installed your Kitchen is not completed. When you do a bathroom project you have to make purchases months before construction. At Lowe's, this is where they screw you. Worst customer service ever. Bought a range they took over a week to deliver it. Supposed to install it but the guys that brought it didn't know what to do. Couldn't hook it up. Then they sent another team from ATI to do that and install the gas valve. Turns out they knew what they needed to do but the office would not let them do it. I went to the store to see what was going on and they said it would be over $300 for them to come back and do it. I said forget it. Nice selection of healthy looking plants in the greenhouse. Military discount - yes. I actually travel well out of my way to come to this store in particular over closer Lowe's or Home Depot's. It can be a real eye opener doing a comparison shopping experiment for oneself. While this was not intentional on my part, the crazy forces of Simi Valley traffic sort of ran the show. You see I needed some electrical repair items for a project or two and was sort of looking for Lowes when I made the mistake of going to Home Depot. Once I returned all the wrong stuff the Depot sold me, I went to Lowes like I wish I had at first. Not only did I get exactly what I needed, but actually found a lot more project stuff in the process. This Lowe's is amazing! Friendly people who know not only where stuff is, but what the stuff does and which is best for your needs. I thought I had died and was shopping beyond the pearly gates, real customer service, in Simi? In California? Was I on Candid Camera? No! I was at Lowe's! Nothing worse than shopping at a place where the supposed customer service staff knows less about the merchandise then you do; go to Lowe's and this won't happen to you, other places, you are really on your own. Lowes Blowes! The store is always a nightmare from hell, but I was forced to use them to order some Levolor blinds as there are the only game in town for the Level or sale. My blinds were ordered and paid for six months ago. Nothing showed up on time and I didn't hear anything from Lowe's. It turns out they were all in except for one but no one bothered to see if I might want my blinds in my completely open house while they waited who knows how long for the last one to arrive it took me calling in to get this fixed why do we always have to do their jobs for them? Well, that was a frustrating screwup that caused unnecessary distress. That's not even the worst part. The incredibly expensive vertical blinds did not appear and I would just get a call from them pushing out the installation date another month and when that date rolled around, they were just calling push it out another month and we would rinse and repeat. After spending 20 minutes on hold I finally got to the manager who couldn't actually help me but was going to check into it unfortunately the person he needs to talk to is it lunch at Lowe's? Everybody is always out to lunch. I hate this*and I hate that Levolor made me shop there, and I hate the terrible results which are not yet over, particularly since they still have my money. I had a terrible experience with Lowe's a few years ago. Despite my better judgment, since Lowe's was the only hardware store which carried what I needed I decided to go into the Simi Valley location. Unsurprisingly it was a shit show. The item which supposedly had 10 in stock per their website was not on the shelf. The service counter person seemed completely disengaged while calling for help. After a long time, waiting for somebody to check that in fact, I do have eyes in my head and verified there was nothing on the shelf as I already had done, I prepared to walk out when I saw the manager Mike standing by the front door. I let him know about my extreme frustration and he said let me see what I can do for you. After a five minute wait he said gosh we really are out. I'll have to zero out the inventory online. He offered to send the item in the mail to me - I need it now. I don't need more of those Simi Valley excuses for why they are so terrible. If only Home Depot had this item - I have happily spent tens of thousands of dollars with Home Depot over my adult life and will not make the mistake again of patronizing Lowe's Simi Valley. read more
