This is my lowes, the closest to where I live. First thing, an employee named "Patrick" is amazing. Awesome dude, maybe one day we crack a cold one. Helped me out ALOT! Give this dude a raise! Next thing, an employee named Wanda, shes probably the manager but Im pretty pissed off. I asked to get something from up the shelves (which is too high for me to get) and she was not respecting me. Employees has to respect the customer because we are buying their products! At the end of the day, i got frustrated and left because i was going to no where with her and decided to go to Home Depot. I have ordered a washer on 5/20. I paid for it online, and the confirmed delivery was on 5/22. The washer was not delivered. I called them on 5/24 inquiring about my delivery. I was told by the customer service that they see my order in their system, and that they don't understand why it was not delivered to me, and told me they will call me back. They never called, so after 6 hours I called them back. Spoke with another customer care rep, who told me it was their mistake; they never loaded my order on the truck on 5/22. The rep rescheduled my delivery for 5/27. It was not delivered to me once again. I called them, and spoke with the customer service. They told me they don't have the unit in stock. I explained the situation, and I asked to speak with a manager. After several call backs, I was finally connected to a manager who told me he will look into it , and will call me back. Needless to say, no one ever called me. I called them back again after 4 hours, and after several calls and a long time on hold I spoke with on duty manager Dereck. He refused to provide his last name. I explained the situation, and basically he told me he can't help me except to cancell my order, or to place my order again. I explained that my delivrery was already confirmed twice, and I took leave twice from work to be home for it, and I demanded that Lowes makes it right. I told him that I don't necessarily need the washer they don't have in stock, but that I need a washer TODAY. He basically laughed at me . When I asked him how I file complaint against him and his store, he just told me to call 1-800-LOWES. Wow, what a customer service to a loyal customer who has spent many 1000's of Dollars in this store over the years! They did not screw my order once, but twice, and when I asked them to make it right, this Dereck guy who refused to properly identify himself basically laughed at me. I am considering taking a leagal action against them to compensate me for my 2 days off, and I will never buy anything from Lowes ever again. My favorite of the area Lowe's stores. The store is clean and neat, well laid out, and well lit. All of the employees are friendly and helpful, and if you are regular, the employees will quickly begin to recognize that you are a familiar. Over time I think I've shopped every area of this store and in some departments I could practically work there thanks to being the owner of a fixer-upper-house that just needs a lot of TLC. My favorites are the paint department and the garden stuff. To be fair, I hate the plumbing department in all of the home improvement stores; but this Lowe's location has one of the better kept plumbing sections and I appreciate that. I am very displeased with the service that I received from Loews in Largo, MD. I scheduled an appointment for an estimate for installation. The service person was a no show. I left several messages and No return phone call. After making several phone calls to corporate, store manger, and the service person. I have yet to receive a follow up call from anyone. The inconsistency and lack of communication and customer service at Loews is the worst I have ever experience. Especially, as a customer looking to spend my money. I am use to a big Lowes, this is a smaller one. I could not find the item I was looking for but a staff member helped me find it when I came to the store. Now let me tell you about the 3 stars, I went on line and found the item I wanted and they did not have it at my local Lowes. This store was kind of on the way to our beach house and I thought I would pick it up there. I called the store to insure that they had it in stock and verify the measurements (It was not very detailed on line). When I called the store they tried to put me through to the building supplies department but someone in that department was yakking on the phone for 15 minutes. The operator put me through to windows and doors. The person in windows and doors stated that "it was not my department" and I explained the situation about being on hold and I wanted to insure that the item matched my needs. If I could give a negative star rating I would. I hired Lowes to do my kitchen remodel and it's been an absolute nightmare. From the manager Thomas, to the sales associate Junious to the installers it's absolutely no accountability. I can't list one thing that they've done correctly. From ordering the wrong size cabinets to ordering the wrong color cabinets I've experienced it all. It's a waste of time and money hiring lowes to do anything. Customer service is nonexistent and your basically chasing after sales associates to correct their mistakes. Thank god after 8 months things are almost completed. I wish there was a way to give NEGATIVE stars to this store. The lack of customer service and misinformation leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered a new storm door, retractable screen door and installation on August 7th. The door was supposed to arrive on August 18th and installation would then be scheduled. I called the store several times for 2 days and couldn't get anyone on the phone. I finally got someone live on August 25th who told me the door was now backordered and It would be another 2-3 weeks for delivery. I complained because I was not told the door was on backorder when I originally ordered it. I get a call on Sept 18th stating the door had arrive and that I could schedule the installation. The first date available was OCT 7th. SO NOW I'm waiting for an additional 2 and half weeks to get my doors installed. I called to get another company to install and was told that I essentially would have to start the process over. THIS will be my last interaction with Lowe's. I've preferred them over Home Depot because I always felt they knew more and because I'm a North Carolinian, but this experience has been exhausting. read more

As a frequent shopper of Lowes I'm usually impressed by being able to find the things that I need without issues but at this location in Largo, I'm more than likely not to return. First, I purchased a garage door opener and paid for someone to come out and measure for an installation but still have yet to get a returned phone call and it's been two weeks already..I'm going back to get a refund and going to their competitor Home Depot..or another Lowes location..they're supposed to call me within two business days and still no call. I called back and explained it to the operator who took my number and she had the nerve to tell me that I made the purchase over the weekend..and? It's been a week already when I called the first time..that's no excuse...still no call back..terrible service..and I purchased a washer and dryer special order and no call on the delivery date and I brought that two weeks ago...ugh.. Years ago, this store had plenty of helpful staff. I went to this store twice in 2 weeks and I had the same experience- poor!! There are never enough staff to help and the staff that are there do not know much about their departments. One staff member told me the store just does not hire enough staff and they have employees that do not show up for work. Luckily for me I know what I need, but I have problems finding it. These are discontinues item, however showing 7 available at another location which at later, I called and confirmed. An associate himself who was cursing Lowes as well Lowes.com, so what would you expect? Anyway, I asked where is my e-card balance, and was advise, it should be back in e-card, which was a lie, spoke to manage of the store, and was told to come to store for card balance, even though the item I pushed was for house in VA and plumber was going to pick it up, but she wanted me to fly from Chicago to MD and get the balance back. Called 1-800, was on phone for more then an hour, wasted my time, got transfer to a manger, and same exact story. Now not sure how will I get my $293 to be exact from Lowe's which I paid with a e-gift card. Notice here, they claim they don't have E-Card's anymore, even though someone give me a days before purchase. To all, Be Aware, Home Depot might be little expensive, but after this experience, I will stay away from Lowe's and will advise any who does shop at Lowe's. I wish Lowe's goes down as circuit city At end, LOWE'S, please someday call or shop at HomeDepot, and you will see how much they love to help and care for customer. He pointed at two types of paint and I asked what did he recommend. He said oh you want me to choose, will I'm going to choose the most expensive one with an altitude. Was shopping at Lowes in Largo, Maryland for and over the range microwave and a dishwasher today. Got to the store around 6:00, made my way to the appliance area and spent about 30 min looking around prepared to make my purchases and pay for installation for both items. Not one sales person in the area, I saw a store manager and he stopped and asked a lady if he could help her, and he did. I stood there about five minutes waiting for him to finish and when he did he just walked away. Never asked if he could help, I proceeded to the front to purchase the few little items I had. Not one cashier in the front of the store, all of the lane were closed. So I go to self-checkout (I hate these things, they are taking people's jobs) lady working there did not greet me nor speak. I plan on going to Home Depot to make my purchases later this week. I will more than likely not shop in this store again, even though it is closer than Home Depot. Bought a refrigerator on line and found it defective. Incorrect screws for the handle, as explained by the delivery person. Delivery person assured me the store would be informed of the issue. No paper work was submitted. After following up, I was told to order the screws from Whirlpool and either I can install them or they would. Now the handle is completely broken and the box will be replaced way after Christmas, as explained by customer service. This odessy began on the 2d of December. Now I am without a fully functioning refrig possibly till January. On-line shopping from Lowes is rediculous. read more

I was pleasantly surprised to find this Lowe's to be well stocked, impeccably clean, and full of friendly staff. For times when I need bulk materials, or more broad finishes, I'll be back. The background: I purchased a overhead microwave last Friday from the Largo MD Lowe's. The customer service representative was good. I went back on Monday morning to purchase a dishwasher, waited 45 minutes for someone to assist (with other customers) to no avail. So I left and went to the Bowie location. I informed the Bowie location that a third party would be delivering the microwave on Tuesday (the next day) and asked if they could add this to the delivery and installation. The Bowie MD customer service reps did that, and they also provided great service. Here is where it went left: the installers picked up the dishwasher from the Bowie location on Tuesday, but were told that I did not have a microwave for delivery at the Largo location (Largo set up the delivery!). So called the Largo location and told them I was coming to get my microwave and they said it was there and no one attempted to pick it up. BUT when I got there, the Largo location front customer service rep stated, "they did not have it." 10 minutes after my call! Then the front customer service rep called the manager and asked me to "step aside" so she could help another customer. REALLY? What was I? Anyway I went back to the appliance section (after letting them know how incompetent I thought they were), and low and below - they had my microwave. When I complained to Manager "Lee" that I had to pick it up when I paid for installation and removing he stated, "You did not have to pay for delivery." DUHH - It WASN'T Delivered!!! The reason why I gave them a "2" is because the assistant manager attempted to assist me and the first Largo customer service rep and Bowie rep did a good job. BUT the front customer service rep (who asked me to step aside so she could help someone else) and Manager "Lee" who can't hear when his name is called over the intercom, desperately need customer service training along with improved process training and pickup confirmation for the Scheduler. read more

I am very, very, very disappointed in the installation department! We have purchased three things from them - a screen door, a shed, and a fence. Well the screen door and the shed was a most pleasant experience. The Fence - not so much! For the screen Door and the shed, they installers - not Lowes by the way - was pleasant and came on time. They did the job that they were to do and left. After both installations, we received a call from Lowes asking if the jobs were done correct. We were pleased with both the job and the customer service. But oh our fence! I won't bore you with the back and forth - I'll just get to the problem. Fence was installed - again not by Lowe's or the contractor that they said - but a sub sub contractor. While doing the installation - we told the workers that we wanted the handle on the outside of the fence to allow us to lock the fence from the inside. The installers said that we had to talk to Lowe's. Called Lowe's (Eric) and no call back. So we called the installation company who said that they could fix it - but we would have to buy doors, hardware, etc. all over again. - not happy! Finally got someone at Lowe's who stated no, we would not have to pay and they would get the job fixed. That was June - it's now September. Not only no callback, but one of the extremely expensive light fixtures was broken when we received it in June - that was supposed to take a week to receive - we have not received that. On top of all this, one of the incentives for going with Lowes was a $$ rebate. Of course, we never saw this either! Well our first two experiences with Lowe's was great - I'm very disappointed by my last experience and will seriously consider any major purchases from them again. read more

Customer service at this location REALLY NEEDS A LOT OF IMPROVEMENT! I asked the guy at the carpet/rug section about an item. You know what he told me? "Do you see my vest on? You have to look for somebody else because am on break." It's get better...that somebody else was "arguing" with an elderly co-worker about God knows what and did not care about the customers in the store. That somebody was "useless" about carpets and seemed to be "irked" by my questions and inquiry. Then he ended by saying that he's not really knowlegeable about carpets and I need to wait for that guy with no vest since he's the one in-charge. Well, this "vestless" guy, just like the the rest of his co-workers were not very responsive to my inquiry. Oh by the way, I went to Home Depot just yesterday (less than a mile from Lowe's) and inquired about the same product...guess what? All, I MEAN all the staff there are very warm and friendly. Yes, Lowe's employees there are the EXACT OPPOSITE of the employees at Home Depot. Oh before I forget, the guy in-charge of the flooring and carpet stuff, he is very well-informed, patient and professional. I think you know where am I going to buy and have my carpet installed. THIS PLACE IS 100% HORRIBLE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. I went to this store yesterday looking to make a large purchase for my kitchen and outdoors. I needed service in the lumbar yard only to find that at a quarter to 6pm the individual was at lunch for the next hour. There was no one else to assist me or even could find a manager. It's great to have a huge store like this close by to where I work just like the Home Depot that is near my office. I can float in here during the week day during my time at my office and avoid the maddening weekend crowds. I like this Lowe's sort of back in the cut of a shopping center that needs more visitors here in Largo MD. I can always find kewl things that I need and don't need for home and garden, just a great selection overall. So this time I came in here for just one little thing and I didn't grab a shopping cart, mistake on my part. I got these big bags of all natural Cowboy lump charco several bags and stumble my way to check out hey building muscles is a good thing. Nice thing about this charcoal is it's real wood not those awful oil soaked bricketts that make your food taste all oily. They also carry hickory, mesquite and even apple wood smoking chips great burning wood to bring out the best flavors in your grilling/bbq. Sometimes they carry this at Home Depot but it's hit or miss on the apple wood. Because of my bumbling self with the big bags one of the workers there immediately grab me a shopping cart just in time hands were starting to "feel the burn". The store is organized laid out very similar to Home Depot and they have a super helpful staff who know how to not only get you what you need when you need it but they also know how to converse with people. It's that human touch that makes things nice and keeps me away from the self check out lines many times. read more

I ordered a washing machine and dryer and after they arrived I discovered that the washing machine malfunctioned/was a lemon, so I had to call Lowe's customer service because the store wasn't able to assist me. Lowe's stated that the store would call me with a new delivery date (within a couple of days-didn't happen) The delivery truck arrived at my house (unannounced on a Sunday) and delivered the wrong washing machine. I called the store and no one ever came to the phone to assist me...so I had to call Lowe's customer service for a 3rd time. Even though one of the store managers apologized for the inconvenience, I asked him what would he be able to do to compensate for me having to contact Lowe's three times over this situation and he stated; oh nothing but get your order right this time. (what happened to well I know that you had to buy the washer hoses, so as an inconvenience for the troubles and our mistake, let me reimburse you or give you a credit. (Mind you, I have a Lowe's credit card with them) The day before the (final-hopefully) delivery date, I get a call from the delivery automated service stating the estimated date and time of delivery, but they were going to deliver my washing machine to another address. WOW!!! (how did the delivery address change in the system now) So, I had to push whatever number it was for a real person, in which at first he told me that I couldn't change the address (I told him that one of the store managers personally set this delivery up for me-so I guess he got that wrong on my behalf) So, finally after being oh hold, the delivery date for the next day was set up. On the delivery date, of course; the washing machine didn't get delivered to the correct address and when the driver's discovered that they had the wrong address through my spouse, they immediately had an attitude. When they arrived at the correct address, both of the driver's got smart with me for no reason (I guess they were frustrated) one told me that I should've ordered the washing machine from my local store instead of the Lowe's in largo. I told him that the Lowe's in Clinton didn't have the washing machine in stock and he told me that I should've waited. (wow) The same delivery guy asked me who was going to hook the washing machine up. (isn't that your job I said to him-even though I knew that it was) Plenty of more stuff transpired, but why mention it if nothing is going to happen to them and they continue to keep their job. I definitely won't be ordering anything from this Lowe's (Largo) again. read more

CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING IS NEEDED! My husband and I often go to this location because it is close to our home. In the past, we've never had any problems at this location other than it always seems to be a shortage of folks around to help when you have questions. Over the last month, we have been renovating our basement bathroom and have spent A LOT in this particular location. We purchased an item for the renovation only to find that pieces where missing once we got it home. Yesterday, we had our new washer and dryer delivered only to find that the stacking kit was missing the screws. I called to the store and was told that I could come in and pick up the screws. When I arrive at the store, I was told that I could "go and get a new one". When I explained my frustration to the young woman in customer service, about this being the second time purchasing an item only to find that it had missing pieces, a manager or supervisor gave me a very unapologetic apology. This was unacceptable! Having worked in retail for many years, customer service should always be the 1st priority. Without customers there is no business. They need training! read more

I have been provided no resolve or schedule for the installers constantly rescheduling and not providing any updates on my order.
