I purchased a Maytag Washing Machine from Lowe's a year and a half ago. It worked fine until one month ago. I have a 3 yr Lowe's Protection Plan so I called them and filed a claim to get the washer repaired. First of all the choices of repair companies all had very low ratings, but I chose the closest one. Well this quickly turned into a nightmare! It took forever to get a service appt, when the guy came out he had to order the parts which took over 2 weeks to get, then more time to schedule the 2nd appt. He finally came back and had to replace the entire Computer Board of the Washing Machine (this machine is only 1 1/2 years old, and the entire computer is out??) After he replaced the computer board the washer STILL DIDN'T WORK!! OK it's time for Lowe's to send me a replacement washing machine, right? NO!! Lowe's still won't replace it. It has been ONE MONTH without having a working washing machine, my dirty clothes are piling up, I have no more clean clothes and I have a family of 5, so you can imagine how inconvenient this is!) I've called Lowe's Claims agents multiple times and each time they said that the repair company has still not sent in their report... and I've called the the repair company many times and they said that they did submit the diagnostic summary. This back-and-forth has gone on for long enough. And the bottom line--nothing has been done with regards to me not having a functioning washing machine. After one month I cannot wait any longer. I am DONE! This so called "Protection Plan" is a Total Scam! I have paid for Lowe's Protection Plans for decades, never had to use them, but the one time I need them to replace a defective appliance I get the 'run around!' I canceled my claim and just purchased another washing machine from a more reputable company. Money lost on a worthless washing machine from Lowe's and money lost on Lowe's Assurant Protection Plan. I will NEVER again buy an Appliance from Lowe's and I certainly will NEVER get a worthless Assurant Protection Plan from ANY store... What a Joke!! read more

Talk about lacking customer service. Was replacing the garbage disposal for my mother in law and needed a few extra parts. Only option was this location since this was the closest one to her house. Walked in and found the plumbing aisle and asked an associate where I can find the parts I needed (took the entire piece so there will be no confusion) only response I received from the associate was: "it's over there at the right bottom" Exactly where right bottom? There are other racks and parts there? He could have walked me over or provided the bay number (like Home Depot) Best to know exactly what you want and where the items are located because you won't get any help from the workers. read more

The mid city Lowe's should be shut down. I spent 3 hours on hold over the course of 2 days trying to get this delivered. The original delivery was taken to the complete wrong address and I never received a notification. I then spent an hour on hold trying to get it rescheduled and finally got someone on the phone who told me a manager would call me but they never did. I had to call back at 6:45am to get the delivery on a truck because it was critical I received it. The manager was able to get it on a truck and said they would call me back in an hour with a time frame because our business was closed and I had to go receive it on my day off. The manager Arten I believe was his name never called me back. I then spent another hour on hold trying to contact the store. I was never able to get through, called the corporate pro desk who was able to transfer me to the pro desk at the store. The pro desk told me that it was impossible that the manager got the delivery on the truck and it would not be delivered. When I started crying on the phone she got her manager who told her that it was being delivered in an hour. It took hours of tears and waiting on hold just to get a few sheets of 4x8 hardboard delivered to my company. Based on the help reviews of this store it seems as though this is a common occurrence and this store should fire everyone who works there. read more

I am not a fan of these giant hardware stores... I much prefer the comfortable overflowing little local Ace hardware places throughout LA... but sometimes they just don't carry what you need. And if you HAVE to do this monstrosity, listen to Crystal here... Here's how you do this... Order ONLINE. If you're not building a house and you're just like me... a lady that needs an air filter for her HVAC system... just go online and order it. Or you need a garage door opener... just order it online. Park ON THE STREET. There is on-street parking... you'll have to walk across the street but again, if you're just picking up an air filter or a garage door opener or something small, you'll save yourself a ton of time and a lot of aggravation if you avoid the parking garage. Park across the street. The staff is actually quite helpful - but it was Black Friday when I had to show up in a panic to buy an air filter for my suddenly non-working heat system, so maybe they're not always that nice and helpful. I don't know. In store pick-up is right near the entrance and was easy as could be. Print out your confirmation and you will be on your way in less than 5 minutes. Unless you made the mistake of parking in the garage. Which I told you not to do. read more

Their installed sales has gone so far down hill it's slid into the deepest part of the ocean. Had to call 3 different reps to get someone to call me back. That should have been the sign. Ordered a patio door and security screen. It showed up at the store 3 weeks later, no one called to let me know. I checked in with them a month later - 7 to 8 weeks after the order. Then they realized it had been sitting there. Another three weeks for install - but the security screen is damaged and opens to the opposite side. Three weeks later they tell me it's not coming at all. In the meantime, they hadn't finished the patio door. Three months later, they're fighting me saying the job was finished. It looks like crap. It's too small for the opening and the moulding is incomplete. The contractor blames lowes and lowes blames the pandemic. Overcharged for an unsightly, unfinished job. read more

I find them to be a lot more helpful when it comes to customer service, which is why I am very disappointed that I am writing such a negative review for a Lowes store. A couple weeks ago, my boyfriend and I went Christmas tree shopping at the local Lowes by our home (Golden Valley Rd store) and saw a tree we fell in love with. The tree was unavailable at our location and we were instructed to look at stores that might carry it and to place an online offer for pickup. Even though there were no immediate stores near us that had the tree, we still wanted the tree and decided to order from this Lowes location. We placed our order and called to make pickup arrangements with the store and went to pickup the tree on 11/12. When we got to the store, they had us waiting for a long period of time to which I felt uncomfortable with and suspected something had gone wrong with my online order. The girl helping us came back and apologized for the wait and said they are still looking for our order. After waiting some more, they came back and told us that our tree was given to another customer. We were disappointed and furious, specifically because these were the instructions and arrangements we were told we had to make to get this item. Mind you, this location is around 40 miles from our home. The customer service manager took over the interaction and we had to settle for a tree we didn't want as we were told there'd be no restocking of inventory. I'm unsure how a store can be so disorganized and careless. I hope there is a major change and shift with how staff handle orders and customers at this store. read more

If only zero stars were an option. I've renovated three homes with supplies from Lowe's. I've loved Lowe's for many years. The stores have been clean and bright, and had a bevy of options that outclass their competitors. Their employees have been kind and helpful, and I've always sung Lowe's praises. Recently, a shift has happened... not just at Mid-City Lowe's, but at multiple locations over the southland. This Lowe's happens to be the worst of them all. The king of the hill... the top dog... the apex of awful. We ordered closet units for my sons on 9/9, with a delivery date of 9/11. Check the date I'm posting this. September 30th. We've called Lowe's multiple times over the last almost month. Each call culminating in an hour that turned out to be completely nonproductive. We've been promised multiple delivery dates, and as you may have guessed, given the fact I'm typing here on Google... zero closets have shown up. Last night I received a fourth promise of delivery... 8:30 pm said text stated. 10:20 rolled around... zero closet units. I called the store today, and was promised a delivery date of October 2nd. Totally unacceptable, given the fact they were supposed to be delivered on September 11th. Clearly they have me over a barrel, so. I've got to accept the date they asserted. HOWEVER, when transferred to the delivery department to receive confirmation (as at this point I have zero trust in their words) I was unable to reach an employee. I called back multiple times, and nothing. Oh, and the delivery on the 11th? They attempted to tell me it was undeliverable, as no one was at my residence to receive it. I live in a high rise building, in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, manned with 24/7 security, provided by multiple guards, a staffed lobby, on site maintenance, parking attendants, as well as the foot traffic from all the residents contained in the two high rise towers that comprise totality of the building. There's never an absence of people to aid a delivery driver in gaining access to the lobby, where the packages should have been delivered. At this point, I could have fashioned the closets myself, out of an amalgamation of collected pencil shavings and resin. I would have had better luck burying some magic beans at the dog park and hoping the closets sprout into existence. Thickened Unicorn farts and dream vapor would have worked better to contain my clothing, as Lowe's is proving equally elusive and mythical. Lowe's must have switched management and is now run by Sasquatch and a team of leprechauns, because all they're peddling is fantasy, and have zero intention of delivering any tangible items. read more

I have been waiting for customer service to answer the phone regarding setting up installation on a gas range we purchase. Our first call was in the queue for 2 hours before getting a call back. Then the representative was unable to get a price for installation so forwarded us onto another phone line queue and no answer after another 30minutes waiting!!! Unbelievable! The products are good but this customer service is unacceptable and sub par. Time to go to Home Depot for some actual follow through! So irritated. read more

I've been at this store several times. It's the closest one near my home. The local hardware stores don't have as much of a selection. That's why I go to Lowe's. It's never quite full or super busy, but it is hard to get a sales associate to help you around in the store. They always seem understaffed when it comes to the electrical department. Also, some of the items on the shelves are very dusty and I'm not sure if it's a function of it just being a hardware store and things are bound to get that way or they don't dust their boxes frequently to make a consumer feel like they are buying a new item. read more

This review is regarding the delivery and purchase of a patio set from this location. First of all, the people working here are useless, dont care to that you are taking time off work to be there for the delivery, and are extremely dismissive! I purchased a patio set online which was available and in stock from this location to be delivered to my home. I never got a call the day before for a delivery window, come the day of the delivery, someone calls me to tell me that my item is out of stock and will be delayed for several days. So I had to reschedule, which is fine, I understand sometimes these things happened. Come my second delivery scheduled day, I get a call from some lady telling me that no one is availble to assemble my love seat and table from my patio set and only someone is available to assemble the chairs, I replied "huh" that makes no sense, how can someone only be available to assemble half of my patio set. Even the lady on the phone couldn't come up with a logical response. So my second delivery day gets postponed once again, however, this time because they have no one to assemble my whole patio set. So I reschedule a third time. Come my third delivery attempt, I get no call, no email, no notification of my delivery window. I had to call them and this time they either hang up or put me on hold for 30 minutes. I ended up cancelling my order because by this point I was under the impression that getting my patio set is going to be beyond difficult due to the customer service this store. I am so disappointed with my experience from lowes! never would I have thought that buying and having a patio set from lowes would be this difficult. My whole family was really looking forward to it and here we are a whole month later with nothing! read more

Hi purchased a Samsung high end clothing washer from Lowe's. I use the washer for a year and six months at which point the bearings on the washer became worn and the washer began making a lot of noise in the spin cycle. I called a service man since it was out of warranty to discover that the washer had broken due to it, not being installed properly. When I called Lowes and mentioned this, but they were not willing to take any responsibility since I didn't pay for the extended warranty. Instead, they switched me over to Samsung. Samsung sent a man over assessed the damage and agreed that I would pay $200 to fix the problem which was caused by the installer at Lowe's. I wrote to Lowes to inform them of this and they did not respond to my emails. The error was in installation, had the washer been installed level instead of an angle the bearings would not have failed. read more

I had no idea there were so many negative reviews. I go there often as it is pretty close, and aside from out of stocks, it has never disappointed me. That is until I made the ill-fated decision to purchase Milgard Windows from them a couple months ago. After the initial delivery date came and went, I started to follow up with customer service and would be given a new date, which would generally be about 2 weeks out. So after over a month of delays, I contacted them and got 2 different stories between the customer service rep and her manager as to when they would be available. The rep tells me that 4 of my 5 windows were no longer in the Milgard system due to a "glitch", and that they would have to be re ordered (were they?), Anyway, no communication of this was ever provided to the customer, until I pushed the issue. Worse still, it seems like the customer reps manager lied about the due date to placate me. I hope this is only a local issue as I cannot imagine how a company like Lowes will continue to keep its customers when their customer service team seems to mislead their customers. And then there is the sales side. I guess they write the contract and move on. I made numerous calls to my sales guy, I'll share his information later if this does not work out, and he would not return my call, that is, until there had been an escalation in the Lowes system, and he called me within 6 minutes!!! What a coincidence!!!!! I don't know how this will work out, but I will update you as things progress. read more

Complete morons. I ordered some Christmas lights on the website for pickup and received a text that they were available for pickup in a store locker. Drove across town to get them. The locker didn't work. Then had to talk to one useless employee who then directed me to another useless employee who then brought out some lights from the back. Upon inspection, I realized these weren't even the lights I had ordered and he just grabbed some other ones from the back. Then I waited 10 minutes for him to figure out how to open the locker that contained my lights. He finally got them and acted like he was going to make me wait 10 more minutes (I had already paid online) so he could futz around in the computer and figure out whatever went wrong. Me: "You're in the same building, can you put me on hold for 30 seconds and go check? Look for the trees or, I dunno, ask someone who might actually know when they come in?" Here, let me solve this for you: 1) Ditch the automated menu. 2) Add a generic voicemail message as follows: "Thank you for calling Lowe's. If you need help with finding a product or anything else, good luck *laugh* because our employees give zero shits. We recommend you just come in and wander around for an hour looking for your items because it'll be a cold day in hell before we actually help you spend your money here. Participated in contact-less "carside pick-up" where you order online & you drive to a designated area where you pop open your trunk & they load your order. Easy peasy. Sounds great, right? It's great if the people that are hired have an ounce of common sense &/or are trained properly. I was none too pleased to drive home, open my trunk & find a recently watered tomato plant was NOT put in a cardboard box that had space available, or even on a newspaper ad but on my fricken JACKET. We come to this Lowes all the time to pick up soil for our garden sites, they have decent prices, relatively quick, and we're in an out. Our last visit, we ordered our soil for pick-up. Upon arriving there, we met the attendant, Sherry, to assist us with our pick up order. Throughout the exchange, she became more defensive and took an unfit and unwarranted attitude with us as we were trying to figure out a way to pick up the soil. Mind you we never use the pick-up option, and were looking forward to trying their service. Nonetheless, her attitude and demeanor was not only unnecessary, but less than helpful for customers that spend money here frequently for our multiple garden sites. I gave this two stars because despite this woman's attitude, the lady that greets people and knows her customers (I'm forgetting her name but she was there Mar 25th at 11:00am), Brenda, and Victor were all exceptional and forward thinking. We need more solution driven people that want to come to work. If Sherry felt the need to have an attitude with us, she obviously isn't being fulfilled or stimulated where she's at. read more
