I like the Lowry Beer Garden... but 18% fixed gratuity plus 8% plus Hancock tax, plus a seven buck pint cost just for a beer? Nine bucks for a beer in a neighborhood tavern? I never minded paying for a beer and always leaving a nice tip for good service. But here, I'm going to the bar, paying for two beers, having to walk back to the table carrying the beers, and paying a forced 18% gratuity for the pleasure of serving my self and guests? I think we'll continue to entertain folks in my quiet, local, large backyard where I serve great beers and killer martinis and Manhattans for a fraction of the cost of paying a forced 18% gratuity and inflated prices. What happened to our favorite neighborhood beer garden??? Went tonight. None of the staff is anyone I've ever seen. Used to know most by first name. Menu has changed - salads especially. DO NOT ORDER ONE. Two adults two very small children and the bill was 80.00. French fries were less than an inch long, very dark brown and heavily overcooked. Yuck!!! This is a fun place! There is an ice cream place in a rocket right in front before the entrance and you drive by jet planes to get here. They ID before you walk-in to get a wrist band if you are drinking. We found our co-workers there and got there for their happy hour. We also ordered a bunch of finger foods for our table. We got hummus, fried pickles, pork nachos, sweet potato fries, onion rings, and pretzels. I nibbles on everything and it was all delicious. The only one i didn't really like was the pork nachos. You do get a lot of meat on it but not enough cheese. The fried pickles batter was so crunchy (almost like what they use to fry chicken). And the pretzel was so soft and had great cheese dip to use. Yum! Definitely a great place to meet with friends and hang out. The seating is like a beer hall with long picnic style tables. As we were leaving around 7, they were starting trivia. I just wish they had some fans up or mister for the hot summer since it's all outside seating. Will definitely come back tho! read more

It seems like I come here every time I visit Denver, and with good reason! The food is bomb and very reasonably priced! I've never had bison burger until Lowry and I'm a fan. Great selection of beer also. There are many families here but honestly I feel like it's a bit too crowded and rowdy to bring small children around. The lines for food and beer are separate but you can order beer in the food line? A little confusing but at least lines do move very fast. Food comes out quickly as well. Even though it's crowded everyone seems to be in good spirits (thanks, alcohol). Good hangout spot for groups and a very Denver experience. read more

Here visiting for the weekend and this was in walking distance from where I was staying. I was impressed at how large the beer garden was! Indoor and plenty of outdoor seating options available! They have heaters and a few fire pits. Even for a March night, we were able to sit outdoors. We had 3 beers total, all were great. I personally had the River North hazy IPA which was delicious. I can see this being an even better place to enjoy when the weather turns! They do have many food options as well that all looked amazing but we didn't eat. read more

Utterly flavorless Philly cheese steak. It says it comes with queso but I didn't see any. The drink selection was good but they weren't cold. The BS mandatory 20% service fee is irritating enough not to go back, especially when you have to order and pickup food and drinks at a counter. An absolute gem. Lowry Beer Garden boasts a beautiful shaded patio that is both kid and pet friendly (they have a stack of water bowls next to the soda machine for your four-legged friends), nestled between a rocket and a giant air force aircraft. The food as well was very good, particularly the bar food-y things. The salad was a dominated by acid making it a little one-note, but, you know, it's a bar. They offer a wide variety of local craft beers, sure to meet any style preference. But really, come here for the patio. read more

This place is awesome. Looking for somewhere to go and hang outside on a great patio with even better food this is the place. I've been here 3 times now and each time I have failed to get a decent picture of my food before I dig in. Rookie mistake but that's just how good it is! Their food is about 5 notches higher than your typical beer garden food. I recently tried the gyro and wow. It wasn't a greasy gyro it was so fresh and garden like, the meat was incredible. I love the Lowry area right by the hanger and think the Beer Garden does it right with tons of outdoor seating to enjoy the awesomeness of Colorado. This place will not let you past the entrance if you have a vertical ID card, but it will allow children to enter and run around patrons trying to enjoy a beer. Where is the line drawn?? I can be 25 with an out-of-state vertical ID and not be let in, but I can see a 6-year-old's birthday party going on inside. No bar, brewery, club, dispensary, or 21+ venue/event had ever declined my vertical ID until I tried visiting Lowry Beer Garden. Do not give this place your business. They are clearly unfriendly to any non-Coloradans with their ID policy. As a heads up, Green Valley Ranch Beer Garden is with the same company. They have the same policy in place as well. Regardless of the ID policy, what sane adult wants to deal with a bunch of kids running around and parents turning a blind eye when simply trying to enjoy a beer?? Check out Breckenridge Brewery in Littleton, Milieu Fermentation in Aurora, or Station 26 Brewing Company in Denver before you think about coming here. read more

Lowry Beer Garden is an excellent choice for after work meet up or a casual hang out spot after class. There are a ton of bench-table seating both inside and outside, so this beer garden is more than capable of accommodating large parties. However, don't be surprised to find this place packed on Friday late afternoons and on the weekends. The beer selection here is excellent (you'll have to see for yourself). The hidden gem, however, is the food that you can order along side your brew. I highly recommend the soft baked pretzel (check out my picture). It is roughly the size of a medium pizza and comes with three cheese dipping sauces. It can probably feed 3-4 hungry people after work. The group I came with also ordered onion rings, sweet potato fries, and veggie and pita hummus dip. All great quick bites. If you're near the Lowry area, I would highly recommend Lowry Beer Garden! read more

It's a cool concept but they have this green/ red system yet they hire these kids who are over eager to clear tables not ready to be cleared. I've been told for almost 2 years that I needed to visit Lowry Beer Garden, don't know what took me so long. They have a great selection of beer on-tap, and plenty of food option to choose from. As a recommendation from the staff, I went with the Cubano Sandwich. This has to be one of the best Cuban Sandwiches I've had in the Denver area. They hit it out of the park. Lowry Beer Garden is the place to unwind for happy hour if you live in the area. With ample seating, two outdoor patios (heat lamps in winter) and an indoor area all with family style seating, gas fire pits and TVs. The indoor seating area becomes simply covered seating in the summer. Dogs are welcome in the winter on the patio only, but I recommend asking before bringing Fido. There are dozens of beers on tap, canned beers, and a great selection of bar food and sandwiches. You could easily turn your happy hour into dinner and be thoroughly satisfied. The beers range from sweet and wheat to double hopped, but I find the one area it's lacking is the New England style IPAs. I'm more of a juicy IPA drinker, and struggle to find anything I like on tap-- I stick to the canned options. I definitely recommend the pretzel with cheese and utilize the mustard bar by the condiments. Try the honey mustard or the peach mustard. In the summer time, there can be epic lines for beer and standing room only. Parking is a little tight, I definitely recommend getting there as early as possible. read more

Nice set-up with lots of outdoor seating. Food was surprisingly really good. I tried their Hanger 2 burger. Grilled onion and mushrooms with gouda cheese and horse radish. I usually am more of a plain jane hamburger eater but I really enjoyed this one.Their sweet potato fries are some of the best I have had. Hot, crunchy and the right amount of salt combined with the potato sweetness. I wouldn't go here for their beer but would return for their food and nice casual area which van easily handle larger groups. The food here is good. Some items like the elk cheese dog and Philly cheese are excellent. The atmosphere is amazing too. I love it. However, I need to give this place a huge drop in stars due to the shady checkout practice. When you pay with a credit card, the machine is behind the glass they put up for COVID. The cashier took my card and swiped it. He said, "I got it for you", then he chose 20% tip, signed scribbles on the signature section, and was about to press the confirm button when I stopped him. I just said it's ok, I'll do it, reached around the glass with my arm and chose 0%, and confirmed. This place has no table service. You order at a counter and you pick up at a counter. And the cashier still tried to skip by a 20% tip. If management reads this, you need to correct it. Every other restaurant has their machine in front for people to sign themselves. The BF and I stopped in to Lowry Beer Garden with Katie R and her hubby to catch up over a some tasty beers a couple weeks ago. We headed through the patio seating and straight back to the bar area. They carry many different local options and feature a few rotating seasonal offerings too. I chose Crooked Stave's coffee porter and he had some IPA (always his go to). The bartender was very friendly and helpful! When he found out I liked porters he poured up a couple small pours of others that they don't typically carry for me to sample. One had a ridiculously high ABV for a beer! After that we made our way outside to sit by one of the several fire pits and enjoy the unseasonably snow-less evening with our friends. The fire pit was def a good addition for the slightly chilly evening. We did eventually make our way inside to order a couple food items. The pretzel was massive. It came out in a pizza box with three servings of dipping cheese tucked into its openings. The fried pickles and french fries were tasty too! Much like the other beer garden in Green Valley Ranch they feature large community style tables (both inside and outside), a handful of outdoor/lawn games, and a selection of board games inside. I like that it's a kid friendly destination, but I can see how that might get frustrating at times for people. Given the chance, I'd come back to sip some beers with friends. read more

Large outdoor patio to grab a drink or a snack. Can't think of a better way to spend a summer evening. I'm a huge fan of their set-up to order drinks and food. It's less like a bar and more like a pick-up window with multiple bartenders. No chasing down the bartender and crowding the people sitting at the bar, it's a well established line with plenty of room to approach and a system for moving people along. So you can get your drink/food and get back to your good time. In addition to rotating beers, they also have wines and cocktails so good options for everyone. Food list is pretty extensive considering their focus should be beer. I've mostly enjoyed their snack items and would say their fries are much better than normal bar fries. read more

Lowry beer garden, I'm obsessed with you. Located next to the air museum, you are literally sitting near the huge airplane while enjoying dinner and beers. With lights everywhere and outdoor seating, it's the perfect place to bring a group of friends and hang out. For those who get chilly, no worries, there are plenty of fire pits and complimentary blankets around to keep you warm. You can either sit at a table where a server brings you beer or you can order your own at the food/bar area. It's fast food style ordering of everything but the quality is great. They have local brews as well as fun events like trivia night and Oktoberfest festivities (think live band and dancing)! The place usually clears up by 9 due to the young families that tend to come here and that's not a problem with me! Please order the dry dock pumpkin beer and the giant pretzel. I went home to my wife who wanted to go out somewhere open to get couple drinks, snacks and get some fresh air. Some place she could feel better on a normal Tuesday night which is not an easy thing to find. Driving around we came across the beer garden, surprisingly, very busy on a Tuesday night which was a mood booster to see some happy people around. The place is casual, social, friendly, and setup makes you wanna be more sociable and talk to others. Plenty of heaters and fire pits around which seems they get the outdoor space going during cold seasons. Walking inside headed towards the bar, one of the bartenders asked bunch of flavor related questions so he could find us what we want and he suggested Pilser and Hefewisen which indeed very suitable for taste we were after. Hint, ask these guys if you don't know what you want or not sure what to get. read more
