You can choose to sit either inside or outside. We went with the Houston Restaurant week menu which features some of their most popular dishes. For the appetizer, we tried the sautéed calamari and gumbo. The calamari had a nice creamy garlic sauce which paired well the sautéed bell pepper, onions, and tender calamari. Their gumbo is solid, not too spicy and had nicely cooked rice and a mix of toppings. The rice had a good bite and absorbed the flavor from the gumbo well. I would recommend the sautéed calamari. For entrees, we ordered the wild caught king clip and steak Diane. The very buttery king clip comes with sautéed spinach and is basted in a creamy, slightly lemony sauce which compliments both elements of the dish. The kingclip is garnished with micro greens and comes with an extra lemon for additional acidity, but I felt that it wasn't needed. The steak Diane had a medium cook and was soooo tender to the bite. I would recommend both, but partial towards the king clip if you want to try something unique! Lastly for dessert, I ordered the passion fruit crème brûlée which had such a unique flavor profile! The tartness of the passion fruit goes surprisingly well with the warm vanilla custard. The texture of the creme brûlée toasted sugar top was perfect as well and added a really nice crunch to every bite. My friend ordered their sticky toffee pudding, which was arguably the best one I've had yet. The toffee syrup is incredibly rich and adds a nice caramelized flavor to the ice cream and moist cake base. It's garnished with bits of sugary crumble and fruit. You really can't go wrong with either, but if I had to pick, their sticky toffee pudding is a must try. All in all, such a fun and intimate dining experience!

I've been here multiple times and the customer service towards me has been terrible. First I want to start by saying the cashier was weird/ racist. The caucasian man in front on me was ordering as well out as well she allowed him to ask for cash back on the machine and when it was my turn she automatically pressed no cash back . Lol now I'm in the server industry so I love to tip VERY big because I know how it is but she literally judge me and so I asked can I get cash back and she said " oh next time " I smiled and walked away . Then the lady's in line as so mean and straight faced , the lady at the end of the line didn't want to say anything. But I automatically said what I wanted like her vibe towards everyone was different. And btw I use to work a Lubys and made money from the line and working the floor but yeah that was my last time . For the past six months , I was caring for my mother while she was in hospice, It was one of the most stressful and painful experiences i have ever gone through. As my mother became weaker, she eventually stopped eating, There was very little i could do for her, but there was one thing that could bring a smile to her face; Jason Deli potato soup. That potato soup became became my go-to. No matter how difficult things became, my mother never seemed to get tired of it. I would come into the Jason's Deli at 11081Westheimer Rd to pick it up for her. During that very difficult time, Steve, the manage, always greeted me with a smile and called me by my name, Miss. Sandra. Many times , I would walk through the door almost speechless because of the pain I was carrying inside. Without me having me having to say much, Steve would say something like," I know what you're here for. Let me get that potato soup for you and get it just right". I never really explained to Steve what I was going through . I simply told him the soup was for my mother. My mother passed away about a month ago, and I had not returned to Jason's Deli until week. I has been missing her terrible, and I decided to stop in. although I wasn't even sure what I wanted. when I walked through the door. Steve immediately said, "I haven't seen you a while, Miss. Sandra" still remembering my name, Then he asked, "Are you here for the potato soup?" I told him no, and the I shared with him that my mother had passed away. He was genuinely shocked and immediately expresses his sympathy. He asked, "Miss Sandra, what can I do for you today?" I told him that I hadn't actually come in the potato soup, but decided I would get some in memory of my mother. Steve responded by saying , Miss Sandra , I'm going to take care of you today . This is for you." That simple act of kindness meant more to me than he will probably ever know. Steve may not realize how much his kindness meant to me during one of the hardest periods of my life. He didn't know the depth of what I was going through, yet every time I walked through those doors, he treated me with warmth, dignity, and genuine care. What make this even more special is that I have watched Steve treat everyone this way. I am not the only person who receives his kindness. He greets people as they enter and leaves, remembers customers, and consistently provides the kin of customer service that makes people feel seen and valued. Steve is truly one of a kind, and I believe people like him should be recognized and celebrated. Jason's Deli is blessed to have someone like Steve representing you company. And I feel blessed that, during such a painful chapter in my l had the opportunity to experience his kindness. Please let Steve know how much he is appreciated.
