Bar area w/t.v. screens
Lu L.

Our first time to Luce. We Yelped and this came up so we gave it a Go & we were glad we did. Had a couple cold beers & a mighty tasty pizza w/mushrooms,red peppers & sausage. Luce is a neighborhood tavern & gastropub serving pizzas, burgers, small plates, salmon tacos... Lots of draft beer & wine choices. Heard they offer a nice brunch too. Also has Happy Hr. food specials 3:00-5:00. Drinks-3:00-6:00. Casual open air spacious spot. Both bar seating & tables available. Met friendly folks sitting at the bar Street parking only. Bay Park area of San Diego on Morena Blvd which runs parallel w/5 fwy.

BLAT sandwich

Started off with the chefs pizza ($25). The crust was really good, it was also really cheesy if you like a lot of cheese. The figs weren't overpowering and neither was the balsamic drizzle. I was worried it would be too sweet but it wasn't. The pistachios didn't do anything much. They weren't crunchy at all so didn't add to the texture of the pizza. The pizza crust was nice and light and crunchy. I also had the BLAT sandwich. The sourdough bread was SO GOOD. Of course so was the bacon which was tasty, but the bread with the guacamole spread really made this sandwich. The fries were very good too. Husband had the fried chicken picatta sandwich and it was a very large piece of chicken sticking out of the flaky focaccia bread! All the food was delicious and the service was quick! Dogs also allowed in the covered indoor/outdoor area.

Tuna melt

Luce burger was excellent, I asked for lettuce wrap and they delivered a beautiful burger wrapped in large romaine leaves. Lots of caramelized onions... Absolute perfection. The side salad was wonderful too. My man had the tuna melt which he enjoyed. Fries were yummy. Glad Bay Fish next door was unexpectedly closed, gave us a chance to try Luce and it was very good.

Hot honey pizza, delicious!

A delicious spot that's low-key away from all the SD hype. Very delicious food and drinks. The service was great, friendly, and very attentive. The place is hip-looking, comfortable to come for a relaxing meal and watch a sports game. The floral mural is so aesthetically cute for posting! Loved the coconut shrimp, the hot honey pizza was amazing and the strawberry mule was refreshing! I only captured the pizza. The food was too good once we got the first bite. I will totally come back!!

Large upscale indoor gastropub. Quite a variety of food on the menu and strong brunch offerings. Lots of TVs to watch sports. I had a breakfast burrito and it was solid, but nothing extraordinary. Popular place!

French Fries

A proper pour of delicious wine, perfectly cooked mouthwatering French fries, a gorgeous ample beet salad and a wonderful white pizza. Who could ask for more? The outdoor patio is comfortable, the service is top notch, and we can't wait to go back.

We enjoyed our food here and it has a very open concept for seating with lots of fresh air. Food is very good. We really enjoyed the pizza and French toast.

This place is a favorite local spot. The food menu remains the same most of the time and they post specials, which have never disappointed. The service is friendly and welcoming. You'll have 1st dates, friends, people and their kids. The Cucumber gimlet is tasty and has a punch

First time here! Love the vibe. Great drinks (large pours!) delicious food - we had salad, cauliflower, pizzas, tuna/crab melt. All soooo good. Great service. Will definitely be back.

Thanks to my Clairemont-native coworker for hyping this place up--the hype is real. Located on the same street as Siesels Meat & Deli, Baci's, and Bay Park Fish Co., Luce's has a great tavern-like atmosphere. There is ample seating and even a back patio area with a bunch of a heated lamps, "fire pit" table side and a beautifully painted mural. I ordered the Honey Pie ($25) sopressatta+pepperoni+burrata+calabrese hot honey+mozzarella+red sauce. 10/10!!! The quality of meat & cheeses are great, and the "hot honey" is surprisingly not too spicy. It has a little kick but the sweetness of the honey rounds out the flavor. Job well done, Luce's! Can't wait to come back to try more menu items.

I love this place. Genuinely everything on the menu is good. I also got their kombucha and it was delicious! The vibes at the fire pit are immaculate and service is good and pretty quick. I would recommend the honey pie, it's DELISH!

After a day on the water fishing we came here on Sunday evening and caught the last quarter of Sunday Night Football. It was pretty packed but we sat down immediately and had a spot to see the multiple tv screens. Fells like a pub bar with good food. We started with the house fries that came out pretty quickly. We were devouring it. Then came the Pisano pizza, the lamb tacos, and salmon tacos. The Pisano was good with the sausage and the tasty portobello mushrooms. The lamb tacos has a kick so be aware of that. I enjoyed the salmon tacos the most with the guacamole.

Roasted beef salad

We came right at dinner time and it was fully packed. While waiting for our table, we ordered the drinks from the bar. We were able to get a table in less than 10 mins and they brought the drinks over to us. The service was great. While it was busy, our server was attentive to us. We ordered the following: 1. House cut fries 2. Roasted beet salad 3. Honey pie 4. Serrano-Rita The food and drinks were really good. Everything went well with each other. You get a sense of a neighborhood vibe. There are TVs to watch games on as well. Parking can be difficult. There is a valet option otherwise it is street parking.

Hello Nicola! Sorry I don't know exactly how much as I was there past HH time. I believe the drinks should between $8.00 and $10.00 as the menu reads 12-15 for regular drinks. Trust me, you will love it there. Everything is awesome. If you are fan…

It's got the decor, chairs, and art to match. Jessica was our server and she was amazing! She gave us lots of suggestions on what to try and what is on the menu since it was my first time here. She recommended the bloody Mary flight so did grab that to try! We also ordered the biscuits and gravy to share and orange juice. The portions are so large! So I am glad we decided to share the biscuits and gravy but let me run down each thing. Bloody Mary Flight: Honestly every single one was amazing. My favorite was definitely the pickle Mary! Everything tasted so delicious and was garnished beautifully. Well worth the 22 dollars. Biscuits and Gravy: Absolute perfection of comfort food. The biscuits were so fluffy and well seasoned. The gravy was also soooo good, just like my mom makes. The sausage in it was also cooked so well and juicy. I've never tried mashed potatoes with the biscuits and gravy but it worked very well! Orange Juice: Not a fan really, not pulpy enough and I wasn't a fan of the flavor. Overall this is definitely a must visit! I will definitely be back.

The food was amazing! In particular, I enjoyed the fried chicken and waffle tower and their roasted chicken hash. I was surprised they didn't include a side of butter along with their biscuits, but I'll probably just ask for it next time. One important thing to note is that their dishes are HUGE. All 6 of us had our own dishes, but I would highly highly recommend ordering a couple dishes and sharing it family style if you're dining with a group. One note I did have about Hash House is how overstimulating the menu is lol. The menu had a lot of clashing fonts, colors, and clip art images, it made it hard to digest the menu. I didn't even notice some menu offerings because of how busy the menu was. Also, our waitress did initially charge us for 6 coffees, even though we only had 3. It was a good thing we caught that error on the receipt before paying. Overall, the food at Hash House is definitely worth coming back for.

From what I could tell, there was only the bartender, one server, and possibly the manager working the floor. There may have been another employee, but regardless, they handled the rush incredibly well. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and kept things moving despite being clearly understaffed. The place itself is super cute and has a really fun atmosphere. There are TVs everywhere, making it a great spot to catch a game, and they have a nice craft beer selection. What I ordered: * Chimichurri Sliders ($16) - One of their specials. You get two sliders with no fries, so I'm not sure how much of a "special" it really is. They were decent, but nothing memorable or worth going out of your way for. Overall, I'd definitely come back to grab a beer and watch a game because the vibe is great. Food-wise, though, I found it pretty mediocre for the price. Burgers are around $25 with fries, and the appetizers (or "bites") range from $18-$25.. I was still hungry after the sliders and wanted to order a side of fries, but they don't list sides or prices on the menu, so you have no idea what anything costs. I ended up passing because they only offer steak fries, which just aren't my favorite. One big bonus is that they're dog-friendly, which I always appreciate. If you're looking for a fun place to watch sports, enjoy a beer, and hang out with friends, I'd definitely recommend it. Just don't come expecting the food to be the highlight.

Everything came out quickly and beautifully portioned, which made getting dessert (magpie ice cream cake) a no brainer. Delicious!!! They have protein pancakes that are low calorie and gluten-free. And, they taste pretty good. Not as good as their regular pancakes, but, good enough to satisfy my pancake craving. And, the portion is so huge that I take most of it home and have the pancakes for breakfast the next several days. Enough about the pancakes. Let's talk about the service, which is what compelled me to write this review. A few months ago I sat down and my server, Erick, came up to my table and said, "Protein pancakes and decaf?" I was blown away! He remembered me and my order. I am not that regular a guest. He is just that amazing. And, it doesn't stop there. A few minutes after delivering my food, he brought a to-go box, because he knew I always take most of my meal with me, and I'm always in a hurry. That's not great service - that's extraordinary service! At one to two times a month, Erick makes me feel like a 5 day a week regular. I wish I could give Breakfast Republic 14 stars; 5 for having protein pancakes, 4 for their taste and 5 for the extraordinary service.
