We stopped into Bayside Landing because we had a free appetizer coupon and hadn't been in a while, but unfortunately it seems like the place has gone downhill since our last visit. We started with the coconut shrimp, which was just okay and a bit overcooked. Nothing terrible, just not very fresh tasting. Then we ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with truffle fries ($6 up-charge). When it came out, the fries were wet and soggy, so we asked if that was how they were supposed to be. The server said yes, which was surprising, and there wasn't any follow-up or offer to fix or replace them. That kind of set the tone. We also got the BBQ chicken salad as a wrap and it was, again, just okay. Service didn't help much either. No one checked in to ask how our food was, even after we clearly questioned the fries, so it felt like there wasn't much attention or care. With how expensive eating out has gotten and how many great restaurants are nearby, it just didn't feel worth it. Overall, not a great experience and probably not somewhere we'd rush back to. read more

Surprisingly some good food especially having hard competition next to Rockies. We came here after a work group volunteer event and took half of the restaurant. There was 1 server. Then another came. I ordered the beer and burger special, add sweet potato fries. This burger was actually really tasty! I ate all except the top bun. Usually 1 piece of bun is good for me. The sweet potato fries were good, especially with the sweet honey dipping sauce. Someone ordered these pickle fries for the table and can I tell you these were the best fried pickles I've tasted? They thinly sliced the pickle vertical, like fries. It was really good with the aioli too. I would definitely recommend for pickle lovers. Fun place with some good eats. read more

My husband and I were hungry after a day in Mission Bay. We were so glad this place was so close and gave us the opportunity to let traffic die down as well. We visited on a Saturday afternoon. The bar area was crowded so we were sat at a table on the sidewalk. The fresh air was nice and we even ran into a friend as they were passing by! We ordered (2) Loco Mocos without the gravy and it was so delicious! It was served over garlic fried rice and it was such a nice touch. To add, the wait service was so friendly and efficient. Bayside football Sunday is the place to be. When I lived over in this area this spot was my go to. There is a variety of seating but we decided to grab a seat at the bar to watch the games. We were there during their brunch hours so we decided to share the loco moco and the bbq chicken salad which has been one of my favorites. Even though it was busy the service was pretty quick and the bar staff were hustling to get drinks made with all of the brunch cocktails. I love this spot and will be back soon when I'm in the area. read more

A fun vibey spot I had never been to in Crowne point before. The truffle garlic fries were actually incredible... I wasn't expecting them to be soaked in deliciousness. Would go back just for these. Came to watch the baseball game and have a beer or two with my husband, as he was visiting since I was here for work. Raved about the food, cause it was delicious... in the middle of watching the game was asked if we were checking out soon because it was trivia night and they needed the room. I love this place, everything I've had from here is great. At first I thought it was going to be overrated and overpriced, but it's actually the opposite. The prices are a little high for the food, but you get great portion sizes. The nachos can feed 2-3 people, the teriyaki plate can feed multiple, and the burger can definitely be split. Every time I come in here and sit at the bar, it takes a long time for the bartender to come talk to me. Even if it's not busy. Today, I came in to order a quick breakfast sandwich to go. The wait wasn't too bad today, just about 5 minutes but I actively was trying to make eye contact. I ordered a brioche breakfast sandwich to go with no cheese. The bartender turned around and typed into the register right behind her a breakfast burrito with cheese. So that's what they brought out. Cancelled my order and left. I did have a Bloody Mary while I was waiting and it was pretty good. I still tipped but for the drink but my search for food continues. Poor experience so one star. read more

Haven't been to Bayside Landing in about 6 months to a year. We used to love coming here however our recent experience was a disaster. The coconut shrimp appetizer was way overcooked, and both our sandwiches (crispy chicken sandwich and Bbq salad wrap) were awful. The chicken was dry and the sandwich overall didn't have much flavor and the bread was crumbly. The pickle they gave us on the side looked like it had been sitting out overnight. I've never seen a pickle spear have 3 different colors. Just seemed like non of the ingredients were fresh. Also, please do not get upsold on the truffle fries. They're oily, and super soggy. Almost like they sat in a bowl of garlic water, boiled, and then served to you. I wish I could say the service made up for the food but then I'd be lying. Tough to see this restaurant go downhill so fast. read more

This a casual Gastropub near the bay that can get crowded and busy at times. Seating at the bar can get tight. Service is good and the staff are always friendly, so if they're busy they're not ignoring you, they really care here. They have outside seating for pets. Great rotating assortment on tap. Great place for breakfast or brunch. Plenty of appetizers and menu entrees that are great here, several are shareable and portions are large. It's a well thought out menu of American fare that exceeds expectations and has something for everyone! Recommend: The General Tso's Cauliflower is a great appetizer ... and the mini corn dogs ... and the pretzel bites ... and the Truffle fries ... all with a cold beer ... (so much is good here, sorry) It's all good but definitely try the General Tso's Cauliflower! I had the Loco Moco, since I've tried all the burgers and liked many other entrees on the menu. The Loco Moco is a half-pound of crumbled beef patties mixed with brown gravy and diced onions on top of garlic fried rice, topped with two eggs sunny-side up and garnished with fresh chopped green onions. It's definitely not Hawaiian style, but it's really delicious and satisfying regardless. I regret changing to white rice instead of the garlic fried rice ... I think they know what they're doing. Upon seeing the dish I thought there wasn't enough gravy, but it was just the right amount, order more gravy if you want it smothered. I'm also glad they carry Tabasco since this is a must on my Loco Moco. Overall Bayside Landing is a solid keeper on places near the beach and bay to get a beer and some great food! read more

I've been here several times and each time the service has been not very good. The place is not very big and it always takes at least 10 minutes just for server to come over. However the last time I went it took 25 minutes for a server to even come over. And then to order food and get that was another long wait. It was a lunch time on a weekday and there were a few other tables but nothing crazy. I also noticed the server would only go to one table then go back to the kitchen and then come back out and go to another table. She should have hit all her tables at once. My last visit there I got the Loco moco and it was just okay. I probably will not order it from there again. The prices are also on the higher end. Parking is free but it is street parking only. There's a main street and then residential. You might have to drive a block to get parking but over all its not too bad. read more

Had been meaning to try this place out for awhile since I used to drive by it all the time. Finally decided to check it out recently and wasn't disappointed. Now, firstly, parking does kinda suck since there's no parking lot. I drove around the neighborhood for a few mins before I found something. So keep that in mind. That being said, the location is open, with plenty of room to see along the front exterior. Even more seating inside, with mostly large tables for bigger groups. We were welcomed right away and the staff was eager to help. There were plenty of beer and seltzer selections, we I enjoyed. The menu also seemed to have quite a bit to choose from, which had me hesitant at first. Ultimately we ordered the Fonz burger (classic cheese) and bayside burrito (carne asada). Both were simple concepts but delicious! Even the salsa for the burrito had more flavor than I expected. This place is definitely a great option to walk to with friends and have a few drinks.
