One of the best Thai food I've ever tried! You will not leave this restaurant hungry because the portion sizes are huge. I was able to have enough leftovers to bring home for dinner. The noodles and curry were both amazing. The food here is incredibly authentic, so do not ask them to make it super spicy lol. We got a level five and it was pretty spicy! I can remember all the times I have been to Thailand early in my career and I hardly ate any Thai food. Yep, my local colleagues would take me out, the food was spicy and hot and we ate outdoors where it was so hot and humid it was crazy and not comfortable... By the way, speaking of that. I am always amazed how watching the Hangover II movie when they are in Thailand wearing JACKETS, long sleeve shirts, and etc. I mean... really? It is like a sauna there. Anyway, I digress. Back to Lucky Thai. I have been here 4-5 times now and ready to write my review! 1. Service - Fantastic. Looks to always be the same people and they are both consistent in service and very friendly/efficient. 2. Menu - yep, they have all the favorites. Tom Yum Soup with Shrimp - Overall very good, ordered a spicy 6 out of 10 and it was perfect. Flavorful, light and just the right amount of Shrimp. Till this day, I haven't figured out what to do with the lemongrass. Tom Kha Soup with the coconut broth - We ordered the small version, one chicken and spice level 2, one with shrimp spice level 6. The added coconut broth gives this soup a very flavorful depth that is to me even better than my normal favorite Tom Yum. When it is winter, or cold, I love this soup. Pad Kee Mow Noodles - I have always ordered this ever since I discovered the nickname of this noodle was "Drunken Noodle". Love the nice flavor of this, the softness / freshness of the wide noodles. I am not sure what is happening at Lucky Thai, but when we bring this home for leftovers, and have it the next day, the noodles are still very good, even if it comes right out of the refrigerator. When I have wide noodles at other restaurants, the next day, the noodles are tough, waxy and not very tasty at all. Here it is really good still cold...I just love the savory and spicy feeling of this noodle. Green Curry Fried Rice - Bam! First time I have had this and it is great. Green beans cooked just right, basil, bell peppers and the green curry is so tasty. Really enjoyed this. Spicy Basil with ground pork - Always love the ground meat that comes with the Spicy Basil dish. Very nice, lots of meat with the basil, garlic and bell peppers. Yellow Curry with Chicken - A basic staple that the wife loves! She enjoys the potatoes, onions and carrots with this curry. I also enjoy this curry and it is something we tend to order frequently. Crying Tiger Ribeye steak - First time we ordered this. Really? A steak at a Thai place? Wow, tender, cooked medium / pink, juicy, sliced, lots of meat and the nice aroma and flavor from the grilling makes this fantastic. the dry chili dipping sauce was not too spicy and added a lot of tasty flavor to this. The restaurant has about seating for 40+ people but we find it to be a bit small because the middle section is full of all the take out orders and people flying in and out. Still super hot by the time you get home! Tried a few things on here but our favorites are the Red Curry and Curry Fried Rice. The flavors are on point with the right amount of spice! Love the bamboo shoots in the red curry, and honestly some of the best Red Curry I've had in this area! The Kung Pao Chicken is also really good, has a nice little kick to it. We ordered the pad kee mow, pad thai, and the pineapple fried rice on a weekday evening. It was quite busy inside, and our order took about 40 minutes. Lucki Thai is more homestyle Thai cooking rather than "restaurant" style. It depends on your preference, and what you prefer. The spice level varies here. We ordered a spice level 6 for both the pad thai and the pad kee mow, but the pad kee mow was almost so spicy it was unbearable, whereas the pad thai wasn't spicy at all. The pad kee mow is good, but I would say Archi's is better. If I were to come back, I would still order this dish. The pineapple fried rice was also delicious and flavorable. Would definitely order again. I would pass on the pad thai. It was too sweet, syrupy, lacked balance of flavor between the sweet, salty, and sour flavors, lacked depth of flavor overall, and definitely needed some more salt. Overall, this is a solid Thai restaurant if you're wanting to order the pad kee mow or the pineapple fried rice, but I would definitely skip on the pad thai unless you prefer a sweeter-style pad thai dish. read more

I placed an order through Uber eats on Monday night: 1 Pad See Ew with Chicken * Spice Level 3 And Papaya Salad Spice Level 3. The order arrived earlier than scheduled. Spice level 3 on the papaya salad is very spicy. It was very painful and difficult to eat. The spice Level 3 on the pad see ew, thankfully, was non existent. I ate a very small portion. My stomach didn't feel good for the rest of the evening and I was sick in the morning. It's not often I venture outside of the Strip looking for a place to eat...but I had been craving Thai for over a week and so I decided to take a chance. Overall, the service was fine; however, the food was just A-OK. I've definitely had better and probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back. Shrimp Fried Rice ($14) - Simple, straight forward. Good with hoisin and sriracha sauce. Used as a rice filler for other entrees (4/5) Shrimp Pad Thai ($14) - It's hard to mess up Pad Thai since it's such a staple dish...but somehow Lucky Thai misses that mark. WAY too sweet. Hard pass (1/5) Chicken Tom Yum ($6) - I love a good tom yum. The more tangy it is, the better. But for some reason, Lucky Thai's had a weird aftertaste that I was unfamiliar with. Not a fan (1/5) Spicy Basil Eggplant ($12) - Not sure why this dish is called "spicy" because there was nothing spicy about it. Don't get me wrong - the chicken with eggplant was really good...but like I said, it wasn't spicy at all (4/5) We had also ordered the Spicy Basil Chicken ($12), but this didn't come out until literally we had finished our meal. Normally, I'd tell them to cancel it but NBD - I'm a fan of spicy basil chicken and figured I'd have it the next day for lunch so I asked them to wrap it up for us. Had it at home the next day and similarly to the spicy basil eggplant...not a single trace of spice. My go to Thai Takeout spot in the Silverado Ranch area! The food Always has fantastic flavor, the service is quick and always ready for a quick pick up. Also the chicken basil was grounded up chicken so weird I eat a lot of Thai food and this by far was the worst but the lady who took my order was sweet and the spring rolls were good. The women were super friendly and sweet, just that alone makes me want to come back! - Crab fried rice: YUUUUUM. It was surprising but in the best way. Also, the portions are huge! Especially considering the price. I think I'll get about 2-3 meals from the pad Thai and it was only about $12. The service is quick and the restaurant has booth seating along the walls of the establishment. It's clean and there looks to be a decent bar as well. There is plenty to select from on the menu with a basic and efficient concept- pick a dish you like then choose a protein to go along with it. I actually came to this place because I recently had Lucki Thai Bistro off Rainbow and found myself wanting more Thai but closer to Henderson. We really enjoy this spot for grab and go meals....our only "but" is their tremendous inconsistency in "heat". They will ask you from 1-10 how hot would you like tour food.
