My daughter and I walked there yesterday. We tried to peek into the store, but was confronted by a vendor bringing in flowers. I miss Albertson's! I miss ALL Albertson's! But, I really miss this Albertson's! WHAT HAVE THESE PEOPLE DONE???!!! They have taken a perfectly good ALBERTSON'S store (which I migrated to after they closed Alberton's on Alemany...another dummy move)and turned it into an absolute WASTELAND! Lucky has very little for the average consumer. The prices are inflated! The selection stinks! This was a retarted move considering Trader Joe's, Safeway and Smart and Final are all in the same vicinity. Do they not have a Public Relations team? Did they do ANY market research??? I never shop here anymore...except for cupcakes...the bakery is still awesome...until Lucky messes that up too! Very spacious and clean but the front half of the store suffered from really dim lighting.

I like the space that this Lucky location has. The beer and liquor selection is much better than other locations.

I'm not sure how you can remodel a place and make it worse...but they did. This was my local store and I shopped here for over 10 years. It looks like a carnival now. The prices are up, many brands they stocked are now gone, and its quite crowded. I moved down to Westlake to shop at Trader Joe's and Safeway when this one closed for the re model. At the checkout line....the bagger was busy socializing with the cashier and didn't even touch my groceries. I finally just grabbed them and bagged them myself (which by the way I don't mind doing and I am used to doing at other stores)...but when the bagger is standing there you kind of expect them to do it for you. The one bright spot is their meat/deli department. They have good quality stuff there and are quick to help you out with anything. Other than that....I probably won't be back. read more

I live up the block from here and used to shop here a lot. But i went there today to buy a case of beer with my wife. She is 28 yrs old. As I try to pay for my beer, the cashier asks for both our IDs. Not knowing she needed her ID, my wife left her purse at home since it was a quick trip. No matter how much I tried to explain it, I was not allowed to buy my beer. I left the store frustrated because i wasn't ever informed of this new "store policy". Its ridiculous because I am well over 21 and have shopped here many times. I wouldn't shop here again because of the terrible customer service and management. Big parking lot, self checkout lanes and atm inside. Im a frequent customer here because its a very convenient stop! The employees have so-so attitudes, not always helpful when trying to locate something. But it is what it is, more opportunity to explore for yourself i suppose. read more

Lucky's formerly known as Albertsons is the one of the closest grocery store to shop for food for My Xo & I. There are many options to choose from as far as your necessary items. They also have a special row of bulk products close to the frozen food section. Also in the special row are the International food section where you will find the Mexican, Asian & Filipino items. At times they have those special advertisements of 2 for $.$$ on products such as chips, cereals & cookies, etc. It is so tempting that I fall for it. Prices on fruits & veggies are surprising. You're better off getting them at your local produce mini store. I usually shop in the mornings so there is ample parking space. Tuesdays are the best days to do groceries for me since new packages are being stocked so its fresher. read more

I'm updating my review because I just realized they actually close at midnight. Google gave the wrong business hours during my last search. The store is ok for the most part after renovation. Prices are generally higher compared to other supermarkets in the area, and I'm not sure I understand why the merchandise is arranged the way they are now - makes it difficult to find things. The products themselves are what you expect to find at a typical big chain grocery store. Average meat, poultry, fish produce nothing special and nothing glaring. The store itself is nice. Customer service is pretty lacking. The other day I was buying some fish at the self checkout lane but the barcode for the fish was bent so I couldn't scan it. I asked the lady who was there for help. There was no one else in line she just keeps telling me to put in the code while she's on the phone. I can't read it without ripping the plastic and not sure what to do... I keep asking for help but she's busy with the phone. Finally I give up and go to a register and she starts yelling at me b/c I had scanned in a few items already.I think her exact words are "you best come back here and put it in or else...I'm like I really don't wanna deal with this so I just ignore her and go to a register where there was no line at this point. I guess my stuff wasn't voided and she has to get a manager to void it out, Anyway, the guy register does it in 2 minutes and I'm out and she's glaring at me now while she waits for a manager still on the phone: I'm sure texting about what a bastard I am..... Anyway I guess they could train these guys to not use the phone while they're supposed to be helping customers or to actually be polite or just not hostile? That's all I want. Went in just an hour ago to get a quote for a custom cake for my daughters birthday tuesday. Then i seen that this latin guy kept following and staring as we made our way over to the bakery. When we left and came back with our photos for the cake to place the order he walked with us again and watched us from the hot food area to the right of the bakery made us feel really uncomfortable and not welcome to shop like everyone else stereotypes can make you lose business hope he learns how to become actual loss prevention to potential theifs than scoping out regular shoppers who don't have that intention. I had the most horrible experience here just today feb.25 2017. I sprained my ankle and wanted to used that handicap cart and the manager was so rude and yelled at me to get off because he said i was just walking perfectly fine. Usually a great store but customer service was severely lacking today. I am in a hurry. Need to make a Mac & Cheese for my office party. She scans my stuff, I slide my debit card. Nothing. And she informs me that they must be offline and do I have another form of payment. No. So we move to another register. Same thing. By this time they are pointing to a Wells Fargo cash machine on the wall. Not my bank. I ask to see the manager and I tell him it is a $3 charge to use that machine. I am in a hurry and getting upset. Sorry it is out of our hands he says with stupid grin on his face. Three extra dollars to purchase $12 of groceries. No offer of store credit or anything remotely akin to customer service. Sure I did not have to spend my money there and if I managed my time better, I wouldn't have. But the blank stares and stupid grins, plus the fact that nobody even thought to warn other customers at the registers until I suggested they do so really got me. Whenever I shop at this location and am unable to use self checkout, the cashiers at the registers seem too busy gossiping or eating on the job. There have been several times where ONLY one check stand will be open in the mornings. I have seen Maria eating snacks in the morning and while multitasking her duties. On one particular day, Joaquin the cashier was too preoccupied to even hand me my receipt as he and the bagger stared off to another section in the store. Obviously they were talking to someone else which had nothing to do with my groceries since I had paid the exact amount on my bill. However, without my groceries bagged or receipt I watched as both workers continued to ignore me. Customer service definitely needs to be addressed at this location. I do miss the old Albertson's prices and club card values but technically the only thing that has changed is that. Otherwise, the (same) staff is still great, friendly and active, and the food is also the same kinds and locations as the previous title's. I think that the upkeep of the coin machine, lottery, and photo station - are better kept than the previous management. They are not "out of order" for as long as they used to be. There is also a Wellsfargo Bank inside the store which is convenient for me (a WF customer). I do enjoy going to this store. For someone who doesn't drive, it is a convenient one stop shop for both Starbucks, Blockbuster, fast eats, and groceries. It is also super accesible with my son and stoller!!! Oh...I do wish that they would have a handicap way from the street to the store (I often have to go through the side of the incoming traffic of the main street entrance (which can be nerve wracking!) where cars are coming from left and right. read more

Other people here were nice except the old lady work in the cashier here have Worse customer service ever. I came here all the time, this is not the first time i got that kind of service from her. Always look mad, no smiling, and speak racist. Last week i shopped here, i buy something turned out i dont bring enough cash and i dont want to break my hundred bill, i told her can i void a few things, she look mad and throw the stuffs i just paid in the shopping bag with attitude, like telling me she is not happy. We wait for 15 mins and finally get to our turn to pay. My boy friend is the one who pay for it, she ask for my id because i'm standing next to him, she said its the store policy. Bad experience with this store today. Got self-checkout done and paid with credit card, and their system went down after that. Long story short. The store manager insisted that I went through the checkout and paid again! As a result, I got double charged on my credit card. Very easy store to shop in and a pretty damn good selection. The layout of the store makes shopping easy. The main problem is, once you're ready to checkout! Long lines and only 2 cashiers? What happened to "3's a crowd." Though the cashiers are indeed friendly enough, someone might want to give them a little caffeine as not only are they very slow but more times than not, they will actually stop ringing you out to talk to a friend walking by. Might also help if they had courtesy clerks to bag the groceries. On a separate note, the Wells Fargo in the store is usually always fully-staffed and pretty quick. read more

I was at Lucky today and David R the cashier he thinks I'm just being bitchy? Basically they have a chip technology is just that not working so i was telling him to address it whoever in charge? He made me swipe my card not suppose to? When you swipe your card basically your information stays in their system but if you insert it only you are authorizing the transactions no information stays in their system? But David R don't even acknowledge of what i was telling him to address it whoever in charge to update their system? He don't even look at me like he was talking to the air what a rude cashier. If you go to lucky's make sure you take cash your debit card will approve on the pin pad but on the screen it will decline and put a hold on the funds in you account and the you have to use your debit to pay twice long story short there system sucks and they need to upgrade im going to stick to where i have been going SAFEWAY and to make the matter worst the supervisor or what ever her postion is not a problem solver for customer very poor customer service RO!!
