If i could give this place zero stars i would.... They are extremely rude and barely give you food and sometimes the food is cold and old I'm assuming because they are expensive for the small amount of food and they don't want to give you soy sauce or sweet and sour sauce i would not recommend going there if you like Chinese food Try Jade palace or Tasty Szechuan

The food is good... but the lady that served me was pretty weak.. she really was rushing me and got mad you understood B instead of C.. I reminded her it was a C and she just put 5 little pcs of salt and pepper chicken on my plate... I was kinda but hurt about it.. but the food is really good.. the location is ok if you from the hood you won't mind... but if you not..

I purchased a big container of salt and pepper chicken they literally gave me one soy sauce , one sweet and sour and one hot mustard and made me pay 1 dollar additional per sauce .. won't be coming here again . We spend our money and they are stingy with the sauce . Wish I could be aye them negative 5

Best Chinese food in the area! My dad and I have been coming here for years. It's really one of the few places I will eat Chinese in the east. The ladies in there as so kind and welcoming, they always remember you even if it's been a long time and throw in something extra because they appreciate you or maybe I'm just a favorite lol! Some of the best prices for the quantity of food. They have up to a main with three sides, that's rice and/or chow neon and 3 different sides! I always get half rice half noodles, salt and pepper chicken it's the best, and another type of chicken or dry fried ribs. All delicious! They also have great appetizers like the pot stickers and egg rolls. My dad loves the wonton soup, and they even have amazing honey walnut prawns. They make the food fresh so sometimes there is a wait for the food to be cooked but I never mind it at all! There is no seating inside but don't let that deter you from trying this place. It's the true Gem of foothill square IYKYK! There's no pictures of the food because I couldn't wait to eat, that's how good this place is. Definitely recommend.

    Stale food from yesterday.

Stay away from this place. $18.59. The cherry of this bad review they only give you one sweet and sour pack and a fork. https://ring.com/share/98baff83-5ddb-4f00-936b-42534e76e8ca Watch why I throw this garbage live to the dogs

My favorites are the Shandong chicken and their signature hand-pulled noodles, so delicious! They are a popular spot so depending on when you go, can be a bit of a wait to get seated. It's not that big and can be a little tight inside. However, there's a reason why they stay busy, because their food is worth the wait! This place is a must when in Oakland and looking for some really tasty Chinese food.

And yet, the crowds keep on lining up to dine here. One of their highlight dishes was the Sesame Paste Noodles, made of super chewy noodles mixed with spinach and a deliciously creamy, slightly sweet sesame paste. Another must-try dish was the Special Shan Dong Dumplings, a thick-skinned dumpling filled with minced pork and vegetables. We also tried the House Special Pancake Stuffed with Leeks, a set of three pan-fried pies with a filling of chives, vermicelli, egg, and woodear mushrooms; the Dry Braised Green Beans, stir-fried with black beans and preserved vegetables; the Sautéed On-Choy; and Sliced Fish with zucchini, woodear mushrooms, peas, and carrots in a mild sauce. Overall, the dishes here came in generous portions at decent prices and made for a delicious, balanced meal. The vibe might be loud and the service rude, but the food was worth a visit!

Definitely very filling. Chicken is very tender and juicy. Don't be afraid of the pink or red in the bone, it's myoglobin and still safe to eat. Roast Duck 4.5/5 It's nicely roasted, tender and juicy. The sauce is very flavorful and tasty. Ambience 4/5 Very quick and casual small dining area. It does get loud when packed but that is just the nature of chinatown. Also means the food is very good. Staff 4/5 Very friendly but because they are hustling around too much it's a little hard to get their attention.

When we first walked in, no other diners were there which made me a little suspicious. We were promptly seated and offered hot tea though so we were locked in. I initially ordered to seafood claypot but was told it takes 45 minutes...so pivoted to chicken wonton soup (no noodles). My partner got kung pao chicken. while we waited for our food, a handful of people came in to pick up their to go orders, which made me feel better. Another party eventually dined in as well. Fyi the interior isn't much to write home about but comfortable. Then the food came. My soup was freaking delicious! Loads of chicken meat (just chopped up with the bones so be careful for shards), plenty of dumplings, and the broth was sooo good! I couldn't finish and took some left overs home; the next day, my soup coagulated (full of collagen)!! Partner enjoyed their kung Pao chicken but said they'd order something else next time. Best part - our meals + tax came out to less than $40! Gawd I love Chinatown!

We were greeted and seated right away with the choice of any opened table. The server offered a booster for the baby and we told him it wasn't necessary. One place people brought up is Yu Yu Za Zang. Yu Yu Za Zang is a Chinese-Korean spot on the Oakland Temescal intersection of Telegraph and 49th. The noteworthy part about the place is its jajangmyun. There are other dishes like tangsuyuk and the not as common kanjangmyun. The good parts of the place? What I remember is the guy serving me being friendly, taking my order and also running the register along with the phone. The place has an old school look, and this is kind of like an Oakland Chinese-Korean version of Shiki's if you southern Bay Area residents remember the place. I can type that this is the best jajangmyun in the East Bay even though I had maybe two others, and I don't remember the prior experiences that well. Some people type that Paik's jajangmyun is better, but for me, while Paik's has the better technique, Yu Yu's is more homey obviously. (Neither can beat this one place in Los Angeles I forgot though.) I also like how the place has the Pororo drinks because I so can't drink soju if I'm doing a solo drive. The value's actually good as well, and I wish I got the tangsuyuk. The flaws of the place? The parking's tricky. The scenario though is that a star's deducted more so because of the basic service. Yu Yu Za Zang's a good place. While it does have it's there service, its food and drinks make up for the bother. Bay Area folks and non-Bay Area folks, go here for some really good jajangmyun! +/Yu Yu Za Zang makes me think internally "Yay, the place is in the zone!" because of the friendly guy being a one man wrecking crew up front and a batch of really good food and drinks overall. -/The basic service turns its opportunity for a perfect score to ash.

The building itself is so unassuming, you'd never expect a great dim sum place to be here! Came on a Saturday mid-afternoon, and fortunately, did not wait too long for a table. My partner and I definitely ordered TOO much for just us two, but we wanted to try an assortment of things! The standouts were their rice noodle roll w/ crispy shrimp, siumai, and hargow. Their siumai and hargow were so plump and juicy! Usually they're tiny at dim sum spots. Everything else was good as well! We even took some home to our families.
