This place is a hole in the wall two or three person run establishment. This is more catered to American Chinese Food but have a few OG dishes but not as authentic. Price-wise is five stars as it is almost half price of other places with similar items. Looks like majority of the popular dishes are deep fried and/or covered in sauce. The complexity of flavors aren't really available as usual with ABC restaurants. The chow mein and chow fun are definitely solid noodle dishes. Light in flavor with essence of soy sauce and good char from the wok hei. The fried rice served with the lunch special is a pass as it doesn't offer flavor and dry. The spicy garlic sauce is too over powering and makes the dish too heavy. I think if I were return, I would order the lighter garlic dishes and not order the spicy garlic sauce. I got there 20 minutes afterwards and needed to wait another few minutes, which wasn't bad at all! At the time I went, there was already 3 people waiting for their food. So I can imagine how busy it can get later on into the evening. There's only street parking. It's a very small spot, with only 5 chairs (if you wanted to sit and wait), or you can stand outside. You pay and they give you a buzzer (if your food is not ready by the time you get there. Also, if you order on the spot, they'll give you a buzzer). Once your food is ready, they'll buzz you and you're good to go! I really liked the Mongolian beef chow fun & the sweet & sour chicken! The fried rice was average and the honey chicken swings was good, but I think there was too much honey (which might not be bad for some people, cause some people wants flavor). Visited family and was craving Chinese food. Tried little Namking and it was delicious. Good customer service and pretty big portions so you are able to share with many. Very small inside so this isn't a place where you are able to eat inside, pick up only. I love how they give you a restaurant beeper/pager so that you are aware when your order is ready. I recommend calling ahead to place your order so that you don't have to wait too long. My only complaint is that they don't give very much sauce ( soy sauce, sweet & sour) etc. the portions are big and having only a couple is not enough whatsoever. I've been ordering from Little Nam King for years. I usually order three or four times a month, and different members of my family do the same. We've always ordered the same dishes because we liked the quality and consistency. Today Monday, 12/1/2025, I ordered my usual: salt and pepper chicken wings and dry-fried honey chicken wings, a little over $26 plus a tip. When I got home, I immediately noticed something was off. The chicken looked completely different from what I've received in the past. Every piece looked unusually uniform, almost like something made for a display. The coating was puffed up instead of the usual flat, crisp fry. Even the flats were thick and puffy. After trying a few pieces, the flavor was wrong too. Neither order tasted like salt and pepper or honey. Both dishes looked the same, and neither tasted like what I've been getting for years. I decided to call the restaurant, not to ask for a refund, but to let them know something had changed and to understand if this was intentional or a one-time issue. Instead, I was told that nothing was different and that what I received today is exactly what I've always gotten. That was simply not true, and I found the response dismissive and unprofessional. The lady who normally takes the phone order and works the register eventually hung up on me. ADVISE: Listen to the community, the very ones that are supporting your business. We had to try this place. We've seen the lines, we've seen the reviews. Stopped in. Plenty of street parking and there was no line on a Thursday afternoon. Ordered S&P prawns over rice and green beans over rice. It was really good and I had to wait about 10 minutes while it was made. It was really hot food and the shrimp was crispy the whole time I ate my food. Only thing I could say for someone that is picky is that there was a lot of onion. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! We found a dead fly on the bottom of the container of chow mien! We didn't see it until we were done with the food! This is disgusting and the staff is nasty and unsanitary. There are a few seats it sit to wait for your food. Otherwise you just order at the table and wait about 20-25min for your food. Ok I can't give you picture because the foods gone. However the food was good and caught me off guard on how good it would be. Came here after a few recommendations since the original places I was going shut down. This one is way better flavors hit in different waves. The salt and pepper fish was extremely flavorful and I appreciate the fact that they use onions and peppers in there to make it and add to the flavor. The chow mein was soft with a good bit of snap not on the bad side but on the good side of it well enough to hold its bite and flavor. A good amount of both was given to where I had extra as well. The house fried rice was good flavorful with plenty in it as well as the meats being tender as well. The broccoli beef was well flavored soft with a snap on the broccoli and the beef juicy and well seasoned. More than enough sauce in it to that I was able to coat some rice with it to add to the flavor blast. The inside is small with a couple of chairs but is clean and well kept up. I heard the hype about Little Namking's fried chicken so of courseeee I had to check it out! LOCATION: Located on E. 14th so you can't miss it if you keep going down that main street. It is a small shop and there's street parking in front and around the block. They also have a small parking lot behind it. AMBIANCE: Like I said, small shop - it's take out only. They've got a menu outside posted on their window and more menus inside. You'll place your order once inside and then they give you a buzzer that will let you know when your order is ready. They have a few chairs inside if you want to wait there, but you can also wait just outside. I believe you can also call ahead to place an order for pick up. Now, let's get to the FOOD: we ordered their signature salt and pepper chicken wings and salt and pepper prawns. oooh that is salty and peppery goodness. For the salt and pepper chicken wings, they're pretty decent in size and they're crispy without being too *crunchy*. The seasoning is pretty good - I think I was getting some white pepper in there which was good. Is it the best salt and pepper chicken wings I've had? Maybe not, but it's pretty up there! Little Namking is a to-go location only so try to park closer if possible - but parking might be tricky as it's street parking and a small private lot behind. The restaurant itself is super small, so there's about 2-3 seats inside and if it's busy you will need to wait outside. When people say the salt and pepper prawns are where it's at, they really mean it. My fiance bought it home for me once and I didn't get to eat it until 3 hours later and it was still crispy and delicious. Another time we went, we order and waited about 15-20 minutes (so you know they are cooking it on the spot) and got the prawns, sweet and sour chicken, black beans green beans, and the combo chow mien. The food was just so good and crispy as it should be for a take-out only location. The portions are good for the price and the noodle had a good amount of seafood/meat. Went on this past Friday, 13, got the chicken chow mein and while chewing came across a piece of black wire. Scare me. I can not understand how wire can get into my food. It reminded of wire that would from a vent or something.
