I came here for a birthday party for one of my son's classmates. The kids enjoyed bowling, the arcade games, and the food. I like the variety of the food: fries, chicken tenders, tacos, and sliders. The staff was attentive. The kids had a blast, and I highly recommend this place if you want to spend 2-3 hours with your kid, throw a birthday party, or spend time with your adult friends! I think bowling is a great way to keep kids off their screens, engage them in fun, a bit competitive game, teach them how to cheer for each other, practice their hand-eye coordination, and learn that it's ok to "mess up."

We had a Groupon so we came in on a Sunday afternoon and really enjoyed ourselves. It is really overpriced. That's why we waited till we could get a Groupon. Marilyn greeted us and was very friendly And helpful. We had a buffalo chicken quesadilla, which was nice and flavorful, but some of the chicken pieces had too much grizzle and were too chewy. Hummus was pretty tasty. His beer he ordered was a nice large portion and cold. I ordered the Paloma which was refreshing but very weak. Dell served us and was very nice. Love all the big TV screens and the choice of music they play. A lot of fun visuals everywhere. Very comfortable seating as well. Will be back if they lower their prices.

Was in the area and decided to go bowling at Lucky Strike. We did have to reserve a lane 7 hrs prior to us coming in. We did call to see if we can get in early and was told we could. It was not passed on to the staff so when we arrived we had some issues. When we go our lane all the bowling balls were on other lanes. I asked the staff and they said you have to go get them. I had to walk up to peoples lane to ask if I could use one or two of their bowling balls. The balls where all greasy and gross. I had to grab paper towels from the bathroom to get them whipped down. Then pins where connected to a string that brings them up and down. Definitely recommend trying another bowling alley

Lovely visit to the bowling alley, close enough for me to walk, which is so rare in LA! We used a Groupon so it was a pretty good deal: two people for two hours, 35 bucks, we got in four games. We enjoyed a lovely seltzer and draft beer while we played and ordered a couple of appetizers, the buffalo quesadillas and hummus with toasted pita bread and vegetables. Nice environment for bowling and a wonderful hip atmosphere. Staff is very accommodating and helpful with selections.

What a great place for a BD party on a Tuesday !!! It was busy and I see why !! Thank you Andrew (this man is an employee every business should have), Shelby and Marissa for the Great Service !! Food is basic but good and priced reasonably. Again, great Adult celebration spot . Parking is in the Hollywood:Highland structure as the front door faces Highland

Lucky Strike is the only place that I ever go to bowl. It's the nicest alleys that I've ever seen. It is geared towards adults, which is why I love it, and it's great for both big groups and date night. They close at 12am during the week, and at 2am on the weekends. No one under the age of 21 is allowed past 9pm. Love that! There are a few locations, with this Hollywood being the smallest. The address is Hollywood Blvd, but the entrance is actually along Highland Ave around the side of the mall. There's a nice bar lounge, and a celebrity score board with a long list from Tom Cruise and Jennifer Aniston, to LeBron James. It gets full here quick, so best to set reservations, or you may wait an hour or two for a lane, but there is the whole mall to walk through in case you do end up waiting. It's definitely worth it!

I LOVE bowling. Lucky Strike is always a fun, family friendly location to stop by. The staff were soooooooo NICE and helpful and just kind. The food was good and the bar is located right for your convenience. they did have a server so that was nice as well. The games are fun. It's not a huge location but good enough for a family of 7 to enjoy and sit comfortably in the booth. It's at Hollywood and Highland so parking is there and walk on over. They do validate parking so that is a plus. And Andrew was the best!!

This is a great place to visit when you are in the Hollywood and Highland area. Parking can be a bit pricey, but then again what parking lot in Hollywood isn't. Great service from the moment we walked in, to the last drink. This couches in the bowling lanes are super comfortable. This place also has a stage for live music. I won tickets to a private event, but I'm sure it's cool otherwise. You have a high chance of bowling with celebrities.

Fun for good times with friends. Not a traditional bowling alley so don't expect it to be like a bowling alley your used to, and you will be good. But good drinks and live music at times it is nice!

Came here to go bowling with some friends honestly was a lot of fun. The only thing I had to complain about is the server the server did not know what he was doing. We had to ask for simple things multiple times if you're gonna be responsible of taking care of people, learn how to do it!! This place is a little pricey $$$ , $80 an hour! You have to be 21 and over to get in which makes it more fun you don't have to worry about annoying kids running around. It's a fun little place to bowl and hang out with friends.

Bar top is from Hollywood Lanes bowling alley. Hey, why'd you paint over it, though? ;)

Groupon bowling session, and were treated no differently (sometimes businesses hate that you use a Groupon). We had an amazing time, lanes functioned flawlessly, server showed up right away and was polite and super helpful. Andrew came to check on us/cleaned up the lane next to us without us noticing because it happened so fast. I only learned Andrew's name later as we talked to him as we were leaving. He was buzzing around the lanes even though it wasn't that busy. We connected on our love of bowling, and he showed us the various memorabilia around the Hollywood Lucky Strike that were of note (The bar top is from a famous former LA bowling alley, guess which movie?!) I should have asked for Andrew's schedule because it would be fun to come back when he's there since he took such good care of us. Great experience, thanks Andrew and the rest of the team!

Ask the Community - Lucky Strike Hollywood

Are kids of all ages able to come in and bowl or is it adults only?

Hi Julio, Our Age Policy is 21+ after 9pm on Friday and Saturday

Can you just eat and drink there without bowling?

Yes you can and, the food is really good. Enjoy.

If we reserve a lane for an hr, can we extend the time if we decide we want to play more?

It would be based on lane availability at the time you're requesting.

Had a reservation For a certain date we could not make; rescheduled for a new date but reserved no new email with new date as email is needed for entry I believe. Will we still be allowed in to our reservation time?

Hi Alex, you can confirm with the venue by giving them a call at 323-467-7776.

If I'm going to have a 15 people come for my birthday do I have to book a party or can I just reserve for 15 people? And if I reserve can I bring in balloons and a cake?

Hi Daisy. Please give us a call and speak with a manager. They can give you the best option for your group. You can also email your inquiry to hollywoodparties@luckystrikesocial.com. Hope this helps and have a great day :)

I'm coming from out of town, where can I park?

There is a huge 6 floor underground parking structure with entrances on Highland Avenue next to the Lowe's Hotel and off of Orange Drive. Paid parking. Some places validate a portion of your parking fee. I believe Lucky Strike does validate.

How much is bowling tonight? And what age can come

Hello Joon. Please call us directly for a quicker response. Last night bowling was $8 per game per person and $5 to rent shoes per person. Fridays and Saturdays are charged by the hour. We are 21+ after 8pm every day and all ages before 8pm. Hope to…

    How much does karaoke cost?

Hi Diego! We do not have karaoke at our Hollywood location. However, we do hold karaoke on…

This felt like a classic bowling alley- no gimmicks and no silliness. This place features a bar & grill, two pool tables, a fair amount of bowling lanes, and a small arcade. The dining area seating is plenty and the touchscreen displays at the lanes make setting up your games very easy. This place was clean, professional and didn't feel "corporate" if that makes sense. It definitely took me back to when I was a kid, bowling in a league with my uncles, very nostalgic. Our host gave us a quick rundown and rules which was great for anyone who had never been bowling before. Our party was pretty big (I think 30-40 people) but the staff was great in keeping up with our hungry carpenters. The food was good, I definitely rate it better than all bowling alley food I've ever had- but not quite "sit-down-restaurant" quality. That's OK, we were there to bowl and have fun. Everyone had a fantastic time. I highly recommend for group events, parties, dates or family fun. I leave one star off for parking- there is very limited parking and maybe I missed something but it seemed like the closest option was meter parking or up the block, most of our guys parked a block away in a public lot.

Not only that but the staff was rude, and were inconsistently enforcing wearing bowling shoes. Other bowlers had regular shoes on, but our party was told to wear their shoes or leave. Weird policy of charging credit cards at $50 increments. So a $5 dollar water is a $50 charge with a $45 dollar refund. Weird and strange policy. Added 1 star because the pins weren't held up by strings. Probably won't be back unless major changes are made.

Then the manager had the nerve to try to read the pricing board in person as if I cannot read it myself. It's not a comprehension issue; it's a "your website is misleading" issue. I showed the manners manager the website showing exactly what it says. On a direct deal it says per game, per person. On the deal I was asking for it only said per game. She didn't care. When we asked for an accommodation, the security guard was rude and told us that if my son wanted water, he could walk all the way to the entrance every time, despite the distance from the bowling area. Hoping to resolve the issue, I spoke with the manager, Luis Gonzalez, but unfortunately he was just as dismissive and uninformed about autism and disabilities. Rather than listening and showing compassion, he was rude and unwilling to understand my son's needs. Businesses that serve families should make an effort to educate their staff about disabilities and neurodiversity. With autism becoming more widely recognized, basic awareness, empathy, and reasonable accommodations should not be too much to ask. This experience left us feeling unwelcome and unsupported. I will also be reaching out to upper management, including Cynthia Torres, to make her aware of this situation and to see whether changes can be made. As an autism mom, it is my responsibility to advocate not only for my son but for other individuals with autism and disabilities as well. No family should have to experience being dismissed or treated without understanding when simply requesting reasonable accommodations. My hope is that this feedback leads to better education, awareness, and compassion from staff so that all guests feel welcomed and respected.
