I was invited down here sometime ago with a few acquaintances. We had a good time and enjoyed ourselves. It was on this day that I learned what a "Turkey" means when someone gets three strikes in a row. Food drink, and parking or all at your disposal and if you don't want to eat, what's being offered inside, you can take a walk outside to get some air and grab you a quick bite with a few mom & pop places that might still be open in the area. Poor service; poor management. Went to the Studio City location where they wouldn't honor deal from the website where it clearly says $12 per game in several places. When you get there you're then told it's $12/person per game. Verbiage is misleading & manager wanted us to wait 1 hr to purchase a deal online just to bowl. Annoying. Then the manager had the nerve to try to read the pricing board in person as if I cannot read it myself. It's not a comprehension issue; it's a "your website is misleading" issue. I showed the manners manager the website showing exactly what it says. On a direct deal it says per game, per person. On the deal I was asking for it only said per game. She didn't care. Said she can't do anything about it. And was low key rude. A simple fix: make it clear on the website what the prices are so people don't drive all the way over there to be told they need to pay $100 for the family. read more

The place looks nice and has decent parking. Staff is nice and customer service is good. However, my gripe with this place is that its pricing is ridiculous. $16 for a game on weekends before sundown and $14 for weekdays... every other bowling alley is under $10 to bowl per game weekdays and weekends before sundown. I can't say i would come back because of the following: 1. Over priced 2. No bowling store. (Apparently converted to a party room). The place was recently renovated according to staff but to push the cost on the customers, i can see why only half the lanes are full. No one wants to pay for a choice made the owner. It would have naturally recouped the cost if the lanes were constantly full at an affordable price but they chose immediate monetary return (allegedly). This is my last choice for bowling and if i'm broke, i'll make the drive else where. read more

The food was bland, and the pizza was cold and honestly terrible. I asked if something had changed, and I was told that the chef is no longer there. Yet they are still advertising his menu on their website. If the chef is no longer there and the menu is no longer representative of what customers are actually receiving, that seems like false or, at the very least, misleading advertising. As I read through more recent reviews, I noticed other concerning issues as well. One reviewer specifically mentioned that the prices advertised online were different from the prices they were charged in person, and also described the staff as rude. I also noticed that many of the business responses to reviewers seem to be from a bot. If you've been to Pinz, you know what Craig looks like. He can also be found on Instagram, so some of the online presentation raises questions about how accurately this place is representing itself and its current operation. Overall, the experience felt completely different from what is being advertised online. Between the outdated chef/menu advertising, reported discrepancies between online and in-person pricing, rude customer service. I would strongly recommend looking at the most accurate reviews by actual customers not employees before spending your money here. read more

I came here for a private event that covered bowling, shoe rental and snacks. The snacks were great and included: chicken strips, veggies and dip, pizza, pretzels, sliders and more. There was also soda and lemonade in punch dispensers. Shoes: I wear an 8.5 but that bowling shoe size was a bit big. When finished, you drop your shoes off under the neon drop off sign. House balls and lanes: I have my own equipment but used the alleys stuff. The lanes were in good condition and you can program the lane to pop up the bumpers for a specific bowler. While I didn't hang out in the dinning area, it looked lovely and seemed that people would visit the center just to hang out and eat. All the employees seemed really busy since the event brought hundreds of people. It was a great day of bowling. I played 5 games and left exhausted. read more

Was recommended here by a co-worker after mentioning I wanted to go bowling. Definitely coming again! There's a lot of alleys available and lots of space within each one to not feel so crowded. We came on a Sunday night and was surprisingly not busy. The bar area has lots of seating around two pool tables. Not sure if this place has been recently remodeled but everything looks very new and hardly used. Arcade area is rather small but who goes to a bowling alley for the arcade! Only thing I didn't like was that there is already silverware and plates at each table and who knows how long they've sat there being touched by other people! The silverware are placed in a box and when my co-worker grabbed one, it was dirty. Definitely not something you want to see right before you are about to dig in to your food! Our bar tender was really nice and quick with the drinks but once we sat down at a booth the waiter seemed overwhelmed assisting us and the two other tables there. One of our co-workers had to get up and grab our drinks from the bar since they were just sitting there. The runner who came with our food responded to us with "Oh, you have to ask the waiter. I'm only the runner." when asked for additional clean silverware. Which I understand, might not be his job but he could've worded it differently instead of basically saying "Not my job." Overall a cool hangout spot but their service and silverware/plate arrangements could be better. read more

I am only reviewing the "Kitchen + Bar" aspect of Pinz...but if I ever bowl here, I will certainly update. The restaurant here is fantastic. I was not expecting to have an amazing dining experience at a bowling alley bar/restaurant, but here we are. It's a small, aesthetically pleasing space, very '70s and groovy with mustard yellow vinyl booths and geometric patterned walls. We were there on a Monday for lunch, so it wasn't busy at all, but the waiters and the bartender delivered top-notch service: everyone was pleasant and attentive. The cocktails were fresh, curated, and Instagram influencer-worthy. I got the Hampton water rosé margarita, and I did not expect such a lovely drink. It was served in a stemless margarita glass with a salt rim and tiny little rosebuds as a garnish. How pretty, and what a pleasant surprise! And the two ingredients were perfectly married; I have had the Hampton water rosé on its own, but I never would have thought to pair it with tequila for a margarita. My companion tried the Blue Hawaiian tropical cocktail, which was also tasty. From the food menu, my companion ordered the Pinz classic smashburger with fries. He was satisfied and said it was great. Even though I felt like a giant pig, I ordered the Sweet & Spicy pizza just for me. It was PHENOMENAL. It looks super greasy, but that's not grease in the pics, it's hot honey. The sausage and pep cups were good, the burrata was good, the crust was absolutely incredible. I have eaten expensive neapolitan-style crusted pies at many LA pizzerias, and they're usually just okay because they are cooked to within an inch of their life and the crusts end up as a burned-tasting, splintery bite. Not Pinz crust. It's chewy, flavourful, and hearty - even though the hot honey and tasty marinara made the inner section of the pie slightly soggy, I didn't care. It was all incredible and I couldn't get it into my face fast enough, both at the restaurant and at home (I ate a few slices whilst at Pinz and took the rest home as leftovers, which reheated beautifully). The Pinz Bar & Kitchen was such a delightful surprise with its superb quality, presentation, and service. I can't wait to come back here to try more delicious cocktails and another variety of their incredible pizza. And I'll definitely plan to bowl first to save energy for the dining experience after. read more

My group arrived on a Saturday at 7pm without a reservation and were told we could put our names on the waitlist and that it would be about an hour, even though there were numerous lanes open. Cool, I get it -- those lanes need to stay available for people who made reservations. So we decided to go into the bar area and get some food and drinks. The food and drinks were pretty good, as was the overall bar service and speed. That's the only reason for the second star. Around 8:15-8:30, we went back up to the desk to ask about getting a lane, since there were still so many open, and were told we needed to continue waiting -- hopefully just another half hour -- because reservations take priority. Back to the bar. By 9pm, the desk had no new information for us. At 9:30, two and a half hours after arriving, we were getting annoyed and asked the desk again and were told we'd be up shortly. At the same time, we received a text saying as much and telling us to head back to the alley because we were up soon. We could see there was only one party ahead of us on the list. By 10pm, we decided to leave. At 10:45pm, I finally received a text that it was our turn -- three hours and forty-five minutes after we arrived and an hour and fifteen minutes after we were told "soon." I decided to hold my 10 year old's bowling birthday party at Pinz. I had never been there before and had some reservations, namely, that it would be a little too upscale and bougie for a fun bowling experience, or that it would be Chuck E. Cheese quality while being constantly nickled and dimed. Maybe I'm just overly cynical. Well, I was wrong. This place was great. We were greeted immediately by our event coordinator who got us situated on our lanes. The staff were extremely accommodating. They stored our ice cream cake at no charge and allowed an additional bowler we weren't expecting. And the pizza was a far cry from Chuck E. Cheese. It was the highlight for me, honestly. It just felt like at every turn, my expectations were exceeded, from the food, the staff and just the overall willingness to work with us tort the kids have a great time. I am extremely unhappy with this place. Had I known this is how the event would be handled, I would never have booked this place for a teenage birthday party. From the very beginning, there were issues starting with the candle sparkler. I had to speak with multiple staff members to be allowed to use it, even though Jen, the party planner, had already approved it. If I had known it was not allowed, I would not have driven all over trying to purchase something that is already difficult to find. It felt as though it didn't matter what was discussed or approved with the party planner once we arrived, we had to start from zero. Throughout the event, we were constantly warned that the lanes would be shut down, and staff members approached my guests to complain about the kids. This was a birthday celebration, and I did not want my guests to feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. What kind of service is this? To make matters worse, we were asked to leave before we could even eat the cake. I paid $25 for cake cutting and serving, yet the cake was never served. All the kids were forced to wait outside until their parents arrived to pick them up. This situation was completely unacceptable. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. If you cannot properly accommodate teenage parties, then you should not allow them in the first place. read more

Haven't bowled at Pinz in a long time, but I went there yesterday with my family, and we had a blast. The music was really fun and satisfying to listen too, and the ambiance still looks cool and clean. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, everything came out hot including Pizza, Fries, Burgers, Chicken Wings etc. If you're so tired before the bowling, I'd highly recommend you buy their coffee to boost your energy before bowling because their coffee's are top notch to a whole another level. read more

What a truly wonderful experience. Had our Christmas outing there and everything went better than expected. The staff was solid always on top of everything. Setting the reservation with Jen was so easy. The bowling was some much fun. The one thing that was truly amazing was the food. Carne asada fries. sliders and 4 pizzas that were outstanding. Cool spot! The atmosphere is exactly what you'd want for a bowling date night or hanging out with friends. The lanes are usually really well oiled and up kept. It can be a little pricey, but they have great deals on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays. Also, the food menu is pretty basic "concession-like". My wife and I put together a bowling party for our oldest daughter on short notice. We had naver done this and we had some questions, so I reached contacting the center online and the Director of Marketing/Events (Jen) quickly replied. I called her back as I had a few more questions and found Jen to be very friendly and approachable. She answered my questions and guided me to the site to make a lane reservation and the reast is history. On arrival at the time we chose we were greeted by Monazia, she went above and beyond to make certain check-in was smooth, all of us got our bowling shoes and lane assignments and even before she left - gave a shout out to my daughter on the loud speaker recognizing her birthday! The manager Jesse made sure we were well taken care of, and Shervin from the cafe, took very good care of us with explnations of food choices, drinks, setting up the players for bowling and provided great service until his shift was over. I've been coming here to bowl since it was Joe Kirkwood's place, and I learned to play golf when I was 6 at Kirkwood/Weddington Golf course. In 2025, you'd think a business would have the basic courtesy of providing a charging station or at least a charger rental station. Nope--nothing. My phone died halfway through the evening, which was especially frustrating since we were using it to take photos for memories of the kids. The staff didn't seem to care or offer any alternatives. All she had to say is "you can plug in your own charger by the door but we are not responsible if it is stolen" Oh ya! Let me leave my party to babysit my phone on charge! The lanes were fine, but the lack of basic amenities like phone charging makes it feel outdated and inconvenient. In a world where everything runs through your phone, not offering any way to charge is just bad customer experience. Think about upgrading to 2025! read more

That's why I was genuinely surprised and disappointed by my experience tonight with the Bartender on today's date 12/9/25 AFTER I was told by the bowling alley this I could go to the bar. The establishment closes at 11 p.m., so when I walked in at 10:08 p.m. with the door still open, I did not expect to be questioned--or feel as though I had to justify--ordering a single drink. I have been coming here since it was Jerry's Deli and have never encountered customer service issues until now. The bartender reminded me that she had "agreed," implying that I shouldn't say anything further, yet continued to speak over me while I was expressing my feelings privately to my partner about the recent changes, which had nothing to do with her. My first time here happened to be our annual company party and I had a blast. We rented out the Pinz for four hours, complete with free arcade, free shoe rental and bought a catered lunch spread for our employees. Our party started at 11am but when you walk in, the bowling alley was set dim and the neon, laser and LED lights were lit up like it was night time. Such a cool vibe, especially from stepping out of 90 degree summer heat. They had a playlist of 80s and 90s pop and RnB music videos playing in full blast. The balls were all in the bowling stations and not stored in the back. Noticed it but it also didn't bother us as we tried out which sizes and weight worked for us. Food was surprisingly good! I was not expecting much with bar food but everything was prepared really well and presented beautifully on risers and platters. We ordered pepperoni and cheese pizzas, buffalo cauliflower, cheeseburger sliders, chicken strips, cut veggies with hummus, mozzarella sticks, cut fruit and cookies and pastries. Pizzas are crispy thin slice. Sliders were made with Hawaiian sweet rolls and the chicken strips were crispy. The arcade is small but it has a bit of everything- up-to-date arcade games, claw machines, air hockey, pool table and basketball. Lastly, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Overall, I had a great time at a bowling alley with a great vibe and good food. I would love to come back again with family. read more

Very fun and lively on the bowling side of the building. The dining area is a bit more subdued. We didn't bowl during this visit. So, this review is only measuring dining experience. All food and drinks are ordered at the counter. The food comes out relatively fast, pizza, fries, and nachos were all fantastic. The smores pizza was fire. The restaurant leaders need to do something to improve the look and feel for the dining experience. The customer service was okay but nothin g that would encourage me to return to dine.
