Stopped by for the first time today and my experience was top notch. The workers are extremely friendly and got my order done very fast. Since it was my first time, they recommended me a few different options. I highly suggest getting the Mango Slushy or the Blue Citrus Slushy! Extremely refreshing! The mango green tea here was so good! I love fruit teas, especially ones that taste like the real fruit. There are quite a few bubble tea stores at Valley Fair, and I don't like boba in general. However, I stopped by today while shopping because I was thirsty and the cashier was smiling. So I stopped to check our their menu. Prices were reasonable. No toppings for me. I ordered with the nice lady, she was friendly & provided good customer service. I left a small tip. When my drink came out, I was pleasantly surprised at how large the cup was (!!!). yes! And it was cute too. I like how also the place clearly labels where you "order" vs. "pick up." I will definitely stop by next time I am at Valley Fair doing some shopping. read more

For a prominent spot in the mall, its standards to keeping the store well kept is pretty disappointing. 2 of 4 Kiosks were not working, and the customer areas were very dirty. Having white counters really expect you to keep it clean and neat. The drinks were so so... got a Wintermelon green tea, no ice, 75% sweet... it was all green tea and not sweet at all. I absolutely love Lucky Tea!! The drinks are not overly sweet and you can taste the quality of the tea! My favorite drink to get is a Rose Jasmine Tea. The mall location is usually busy, just due to it being in a mall and also next to Ramen Nagi and Marugame. Back ordering the same drink at one of my go to tea shops. I love their jasmine limeade. I don't see this combination offered at other tea shops so whenever I get a chance I want to order this. It's literally a perfect combo from the jasmine tea flavor and the lime flavor. I also just get it slightly sweetened which is perfect. I ordered via the kiosk and got my drink fairly quickly. I really needed a boba fix while I was shopping and walked by Lucky Tea. After perusing their menu, I decided to order the Four Season Super Fruity Mojito Tea with boba (about $8 with tip). The tea was decent and not too sweet at 75%. The boba was pretty chewy and bouncy too. However, I was not impressed with the added fruit (super sour and hard- clearly the mango was not ripe enough). The lemon slices just took up a lot of space and you couldn't eat it anyways. The rest of the fruit in the tea was not really tasty and also did not look or taste fresh. I really wanted to try one of their popular drinks that has a star next to it, so I opted for a mango crema with mango jelly. At first, I was a bit skeptical because I thought it'll be similar to the taste of cheese foam (which I don't enjoy) but it wasn't like that all. When I got the drink, the mango was sweet and juicy and it pairs well with the mango jelly (double the mango flavors!) and the crema didn't really taste like much. It had a marshmallow consistency which is pretty nice. There's two other crema drinks: pineapple & strawberry. I'm looking forward on trying the strawberry next since the mango was really good. I got a brown sugar milk tea and it was delicious! The standard sugar level is the perfect amount and not overly sweet. Friendly staffs with really fast service, there was a line but it took less than 5 minutes for my drink. I definitely will come back for this drink. read more

Yum! Got the four season fruit tea and it was great! The green tea flavor shone through the fruit and the standard 50% sweetness was perfect for the drink. Probably the best fruit tea I've had in Valley Fair that wasn't too sweet and tasted like real fruit. I do wish the fruit pieces were larger as the tea only comes with small pieces of mango and a piece of watermelon but overall a super refreshing light drink! This shop is located on the top floor of the mall next to the movie theaters. They have 2 tablets to order by yourself or you can order with the cashier. When we went on a Saturday during 2pm there was a decent amount of people getting drinks however it only took about about 5 mins after ordering to get out drinks. We got the strawberry Yakult drink with 100% sweetness and less ice and the four seasons fruit tea with 75% sweetness which taste pretty similar to Sunrights famous fruit tea. IMO. The prices were comparable to to other boba places and not super expensive like some other tea places. If at the mall next time definitely check it out. Tried Lucky Tea for the first time and was very disappointed. Despite the long line they had, the milk teas we ordered were flavorless. We ordered the matcha dirty tea and the regular dirty tea. Both at the "recommended" sweetness level, so we hoped they would be moderately sweet. Unfortunately both turned out tasting like a cup of milk with boba. The matcha dirty tea was like a cup of milk with a tiny hint of bitterness from the matcha. Now I do not normally give 1 star but the experience was not it. Rude cashier who keeps clicking the pen while waiting for our order. That is just so rude. We came before closing so they have 30 minutes to make our drinks. So I guess this employee was pissed at us for coming before closing. I have ordered A Dirty Matcha and it was literally tasted like bitter matcha I also requested if the sugar level can be adjusted so I asked for 70% and Holy molly. WHOEVER made my drink was just disappointing. I tried mixing it with the brown sugar but it was still bitter the matcha was so overpowering it's un drinkable. It was a waste of money. I am a boba fanatic so I have tried different kinds of Matcha drink and this by far is the worst. Passionfruit did not give. My boyfriend said it there was no optional asked for the tea. It's been quite a while since I last visited Lucky Tea (with COVID-19 and all I haven't been strolling around malls much). Despite this, Lucky Tea is still my go-to boba place in Valley Fair mall. Lucky Tea is located on the second floor of Valley Fair mall - right across from Ramen Nagi (which you can't miss as there always seems to be a line outside the restaurant) and next to the ICON theater. It's not a large storefront by any means, but it's greenery wall will definitely catch your eye. You can order either at the cashier stand or at the self-serve kiosk (I honestly didn't notice the later until recently so I haven't tried it myself but it sure sounds convenient as opposed to waiting in line). Of note, their recommended sweetness is 50%, which I personally find fits my tastes quite well. As a forever fan for fruit teas, my go-to drink here is their lychee jasmine green tea. Even without any added toppings it comes with some bits of lychee and lychee jelly, which is a nice surprise. If you ever find yourself seeking a cup of boba while strolling around Valley Fair mall, I highly recommend giving Lucky Tea a try! read more

They have the top rated teas, so I decided to try the Super Fruity Four Seasons tea Large $6.48 +.50 cents for boba. I tried Lucky Tea for the first time. Ordered the brown sugar boba 50% sweet. The boba was wonderfully chewy and not too soft or hard. Had a nice bounce and mouthfeel. I thought 50% sweetness was just right any more and it would have been sugar overload. Rating - 4.5 Stars Honestly impressed with the Milk Teas, especially the Jasmine MT. I'd put Lucky Tea up there with TenRen and TP Tea in terms of boba spots where the MT has a strong emphasis on the tea. This will for sure be one of my go-to spots when I'm craving a green MT now. Been here several times, and each visit has been a positive drink experience, so not sure what the low ratings are about. Granted I've only had their Milk Teas, but I was able to taste the tea and intended flavors, it wasn't watered down, there was a nice creaminess to the body, and the boba was consistently soft and chewy. It hits all the boxes of what I look for in a MT so this will probably be my go-to boba spot in the mall (at least for MT) and honestly makes me want to check out their OG location on Story Rd. Lychee Milk Tea (50% Sweet) - This was my first experience with Lucky Tea and what made me want to try their other MT cause this was actually pretty good. It was refreshing and I could definitely taste lychee. The sweetness and creaminess were just right without tasting syrupy or watered down. And I like the little bits of lychee in there as well. Brown Sugar Milk Tea (75% Sweet) - Doesn't have the same complexity as actual brown sugar drinks like from True Dan or Yi Fang, especially using honey boba instead of brown sugar boba, but doesn't mean it's bad though. Still satisfied my brown sugar MT craving. I got 75% Sweet cause I wanted more brown sugar flavor, and I was worried it'd be too sweet, but it was surprisingly just right still. If you're craving a sweet drink, get this. Jasmine Green Milk Tea and Four Seasons Green Milk Tea (50% Sweet) - These were both honestly perfect. The creaminess was right and the tea flavor really comes through, especially the jasmine. It's probably the best Jasmine MT I've had in NorCal/South Bay so far. The difference I would say is Jasmine MT will have more flavor since the floral aromatic is more fragrant, while the Four Seasons MT will have a much lighter florality and more of a mild, neutral green tea taste (but still in a pleasant way). Roasted Oolong Milk Tea and Sun Moon Lake Milk Tea (50% Sweet) - I think Sun Moon Lake had a stronger flavor and Roasted Oolong didn't have enough of a roast flavor, but both were still great and I could definitely taste the tea. I like that 50% Sweetness is their Regular so it's not too sweet to begin with and going with it as their Recommended has been pretty spot on. Also love the fact they use a non-dairy creamer so I don't have to risk my lactose-intolerance or pay extra for dairy substitution. read more

Best place to grab a drink as you're waiting in line to get into Ramen Nagi, to sneak into ShowPlace ICON for a movie, or on the way in or out when you're parked in Winchester Parking Garage or any of the western parking lots. Really though, while Ramen Nagi markedly does not allow outside food or drink, I've seen a lot of people bring in their Lucky Tea drinks if they didn't finish it in line. Among all the boba places in Valley Fair, Lucky Tea probably has the best and most convenient spot short of the food court. From experience, they tend to have more (suddenly long) lines on weekday afternoons, though those are nothing compared to the traffic they get on the weekends. Especially now that the mall is open to 7:30 and 8-ish. Lucky Tea is one of those boba places that are half-teas, half other kinds of fun drinks with a large emphasis on fruit flavors. Personally, I really appreciate that they have a good selection of non-caffeine drinks along with the teas and milk teas. (My personal favorite is their mango creama.) This location is the 2nd of 3 locations they have in the South Bay Area, and tends to have bursts of long lines. I remember when they first opened and gave out a lot of free merch, including fans and drink holders. You can count on them making pretty drinks as they are leaning for that Instagram promotion. Side note, this is one of the places you CAN get a boba gift e-card through their website! It makes for an easy present. TLDR; it's a solid boba place in a really good spot. Just remember that if you're planning to sneak it into the theater, be careful if the lid is the cap rather than being sealed or the metal screw-on kind. Those caps will come off if you bump it wrong if you put it in a stuffed bag. read more
