In a nutshell; Good food, little to no parking, very ghetto. Went to try the sinigang wings but they didn't seem to be selling them anymore (at the time of this review) STILL the wings that they were selling really good. There's a bench or two or a few seats for outdoor dining but probably best to just grab your food and go. Managed to park by the neighborhood close by, though the area made me feel like my tires were going to get taken and what not. Still I gave this place 4 stars in hopes that maybe it boosts the store into branching out onto better spots or increase the overall area's value by supporting the local businesses around and in turn make the place be less ghetto.

Food always hits the spot! It's been awhile since I cruised over to the town and ate but I'm glad I did! Tastes like childhood and the familiarity brings me back when I'm feeling lost and missing family. Coconut chicken adobo G-Fire wings Pork lumpia (Ate them before I could take a picture )

This spot popped up on our inKind list, so we decided to stop by for a quick bite before heading to the city. Apparently they opened in 2013 and is one of the best wing spots. It's on Fruitvale Ave, which isn't in the best part of town, but I didn't feel unsafe while we were waiting for our food. It did take about 15 minutes before our order was ready even though it wasn't that busy on a Saturday at 1:30pm. We ordered an XL lumpia and thought it was just an average lumpia. It was a bit dry. The G Fire Wings were soo flavorful and didn't need the sauce that came with it. A little pricey given that it's $2.50 per wing. Definitely worth it with the inKind discount. Great spot to pick up some wings if you're going to a party!

Since moving to Oak, I've been wanting to try this spot because it's rare to find good Filipino food just readily available in the area. (Unfortunately I'm not Filipino so I don't get it home cooked either) I didn't realize that they'd sell out of so much, so I'm going to have to give this place another try earlier in the day. However, they did have the G Fire wings and lumpia left and those were delicious. Perfect crunch and flavor on that chicken, and they were decently sized wings. Will be coming back for more!

I saw this place nearby and decided to stop and take a try their wings (which I heard were extremely good). I was a bit disappointed; the skin was slightly overcooked for me and I didn't feel like the sauce or seasoning was anything special. Each wing (though 2/3 pieces of mine were legs) was $2.50 which I guess is not too bad in terms of value. In conclusion, the wings were not bad but it wasn't anything special imo. The staff were friendly enough to offer a sample of the seafood delight which was ok. I think a big driving part of the lower review is that it is in quite a suspicious part of Oakland; I was not a fan of the overall ambience of the area. 3.4/5

WHY WE WENT HERE: - dinner THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - located on the corner of Fruitvale Ave and Brookdale Ave - street parking available - order from a window - partially enclosed seating area available THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - 2 out of 3 of us didn't realize this was a dine outside or take to go type of place until we got here THE MENU: - G fire wings - plates (adobo or silogs) - sides - drinks - today's specials WHAT WE ORDERED: - G fire wings with garlic fried rice - pork belly adobo special - oxtail estofado special - short ribs special THE TASTE: - everything tasted great; unfortunately the oxtail estofado was the least favorite as it was chewy and not tender; like it was boiled and the sauce was poured onto it vs the meat cooked in it CUSTOMER SERVICE: - warm and welcoming

I mainly come here for the g fire wings. Classic tasty soy garlic flavor chicken wings, add a side of rice or garlic rice too. The lumpia and chicken tosino are also good. I don't think you can go wrong with the menu. Vibes are always great here, street parking, some outdoor seating available. This is a great business to support. Fly decor and lots of character to say the least, give this place a visit when you're in oakland

What was left on my plate. Thats how good it was!! G wings over rice.

The good still amazing. The owner who passed away would be so proud. He must be putting some angel dust to the cooks...thank tou made my rummy happy after a long day at work.

I am hella mad that I didn't come here sooner. This place is the definition of smack/smacks/smackerino. I've been hella lagging on this place because it's out of the way for me. But I'm trippin. The parking situation is kinda rough, but if you look around you can find some. They have bench and table seating so it's easy to chill and wait. If it's raining it's going to be rough. THE G FIRE WINGS. That shxt is gas, hella good. And the wings are hella big. Like I said definition of smack. I wanted to keep eating it but it was hella hot (temperature). I also ordered the chicken tocino and that was good as hell also. It felt nostalgic, like ratatouille when the critic eats the meal. Everyone needs to get here now.

BOMB ASS HELL. THIS IS YOUR SIGN TO GO. Finally got to try this place and did not disappoint. Been told their G Fire wings were hella good and it ain't a lie. Ordered their G Fire Wings... I was speechless. Crispy with a soy sauce glaze. Idk what it is but these are the best wings I've ever had. Also got their Pork Longanisa with egg (had to ask for vinegar ofc!!!) Only had outdoor seating and street parking wasn't too bad. They do get a little busy, but worth the wait. I'm FOR SURE making my way back.

When I tell you these G-fire (Grandma's fire) wings are delicious, please hear me. The sauce cannot be replicated, the combo of savory, sweet, and umami is mouth watering. The sesame seeds and green onions on top are the perfect flavor razzle dazzle. (Extra sauces are available to buy). Side of rice usually hits with this, but it was a low carb day. Pro-tip: if you like extra crunchy wings, get them fried hard. The service is friendly, and what you'd expect wait-wise for chicken fried to order (15-25 mins depending on how busy). The spot definitely has Town and Filipino flare, dope murals, and outside seating (covered). Parking can be crazy, don't be surprised to see cars double-parked on Brookdale.

Whatever you order, make sure to add their hot sauce! It definitely elevated each dish! The ambiance of the place was kind of boho chic and it was relatively empty at around 12:30pm on a Thursday. Service was nice, our waitress was prompt and paid a good amount of attention to us. I feel like they are a bit understaffed though, but that might be due to business being slower than usual during the time we went.
