Got the G Fire Wings and the Pork Belly Adobo w Rice (daily special so it might not be available when you go). The wings were sooo good! Crispy, fresh, and the sauce is savory and sweet. Not to mention the green onions that give it that extra kick of flavor. You gotta try the wings for yourself! The adobo was INTENSE. Deep, rich, bold flavor! Today, I ordered the Chicken Adobo (over rice), 2 Chicken Lumpias, and 3pcs G-Fire Wings. The Lumpia and Wings were packed within a single paper food boat, inside the same bag. The food was still piping hot even after the drive back! I know this is gonna sound like I'm an old geezer, but that Lumpia was heavy-handed with sodium. My wings were also heavy-handed (as you could tell, it's my go-to word) with that patis (fish sauce), which can also get salty. On a positive note, for a 3 pc order of wings, each wing was on the plump side. They made sure my wings count! Also, my lumpia was long and strong (ahem). In my previous visits, I don't recall having issues with G-Fire Wings but I know it can be inconsistent. When I come back, I'm just gonna get pork lumpia since I'm guessing it'll be under-seasoned and pork is naturally salty anyways. And don't get me started with the battle of the wings between Lucky 3 and San Tung! Choosing between the two is like choosing between my natural, Filipino-born son and an adopted son whose uncanny Chicken Wing skills makes my heart melt. I initially came in for one of their rotating daily specials, the Oxtail Estofado (Cream of Mushroom Sauce). It was posted at the front by the cashier, but sadly, it was unavailable. My guess is if the Lucky 3 IG hasn't posted their specials online, they just "lacking" in Rotating Specials. As a consequence, I ordered one of their Every Daily Specials (right-hand side of the cashier) and got a plain Chicken Adobo over rice (they also have Coconut Chicken Adobo as their rotating Daily Special). Little tip, the Everyday Special is at least $2 cheaper (with rice add-on). It's $13 instead of $15 (with rice). The adobo was just okay. I was hoping for strong flavors of pungent vinegar, layered with a lot of sabow (saucy goodness). I prefer really tender chicken. So tender, they'd fall off the bone--even for a wing. I didn't get that and I was disappointed. Most importantly, I waited a good 10 minutes for my order and my rice was disrespected. It tasted as if each grain couldn't make up its own mind. "I'm laying out ready to be devoured!" or "Wait I need to take a much longer, hotter bath!" I'm just glad that I forgot to add the fried egg to my dish, because rice like that doesn't deserve the itlog (egg). The front and side perimeter have outdoor seating that could possibly seat a total of 4-5 people. I swear, I saw 2 adults and 3 kids sitting at the corner perimeter, with only 2 seats. Parking can be a pain (I parked, just barely touching an illegal red line). Normally, you would see customers double parked, coming out to order or run back and forth, checking in on their orders. I've looked back on my previous visits (and pics) and it's safe to say 3.5 stars. Lucky 3 had it's good moments and I'd still hit up this place a lot more, especially if I had lived closer. read more

I saw a YouTube video comparing San Tung chicken wings to this restaurant, so I came to try it out while visiting a friend in Emeryville. The price increased to $2.50 per G-Fire wing. The XL lumpia either chicken or pork is $3. I bought 2 pieces of wings and a lumpia since I already had dinner. They were really yummy and crispy, although the price is a little high despite only accepting cash, Zelle, or Venmo. It came with sweet and sour sauce. We went to Lucky Three Seven. It's located on the corner and it's all street parking. When you arrive, you order at the window. They have a menu that has pictures of all their dishes to the left on the window. BUT we learned that they serve them on a rotating basis. So, they have a menu on the right as well. That menu shows the dishes they serve every day. And a paper menu that says what rotating dishes they are serving that day. This was confusing to me at first but the cashier in the window was super nice and patient and explained it all. We ordered the pork belly adobo, the oxtail estofado, and some of the pork lumpia. Everything was so delicious. Very flavorful. And we know they make it fresh because after ordering, we waited a bit for them to whip it up. The meat was a good portion and cooked really well. The lumpia was crispy and definitely a must. This place is all outdoors. They have stools and a few tables outside. We took our food home, but while we waited we sat at the tables. However, their process for taking orders over the phone and notifying customers when orders are ready could be significantly improved. When I placed my order by phone, I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. Everyone is really nice at this restaurant, I've been eating there for many years now. They absolutely KILL my favorite Filipino dishes: pork adobo (chicken is also excellent, but the pork has my heart), pancit, and lumpia. I can't express enough how incredibly delicious and satisfying their food is! The pork (and chicken) adobo is perfectly seasoned, and is so comforting that it takes like a hug. The pancit is also excellently prepared and seasoned. Eating those dishes reminds me of holiday dinners I used to have with my grandparents and my grandma would make these favorites for us. You MUST try their giant lumpia! They are ALWAYS delicious and deeply satisfying. They come in chicken and pork and I always get both when I go. A large a la carte used to mean getting your container legit filled up. Now a large a la carte means using the large container and filling it up with a medium amount of food.
