Wire found in my egg drop soup
    Christine C.

I ordered food through door dash. Normally the food is very good but I am very disappointed. I was eating the egg drop soup and I choked on a large wire that cut my mouth. We decided to not eat the rest of the food and to throw it out in case it had any more wires.

This is my first visit to this establishment. I went for lunch. Indoor seating is limited. It's clean and has pleasant decor. The staff consisted of one man, and he was cheerful, accommodating and pleasant. There are many choices on the menu. I was pleased to see a plant-based option of General Tsao's tofu. How's the photo shows, they were vegetables added as well, giving Nice color balance. It had some red peppers, so there was a little bit of zing. Very tasty. Prices are very reasonable. I certainly will be back to try other things on the menu.

We picked up dinner. The food was very good and we did get a lot for the money. The staff was nice when picking up and glad we found this little place. We Recommend it.

Usually I need to ad a little salt. Not with this one. My only complaint about the meal was the loaf of bread. It was a crusty baguette, but there was nothing to cut it with. When we ripped into it, the crumb turned into a ball of dough and list all of the airiness that makes bread good. Our server was great. She was very patient and took time to explain the special menu they had for a three course meal that helped benefit the local food bank. She was very attentive, but not assertive. It was well decorated and had a pleasant atmosphere. However, being seated next to the bar AND the kitchen, it was quite loud and noisey. The servers were very noisy slamming the tray stands around. But, I am not going to deduct a star for that. If we had sat elsewhere, it would not have been so bad. Would I go again? Absolutely. I recommend that everyone should try it at least once!

It's lovely outside and in. Though the building has been there for many years now, they have remained in business and kept up on the cleanliness. It's still beautiful! I ordered the chopped salad with salmon. The salad was absolutely delicious, but it was not a chopped salad. It was closer to a tossed salad because the lettuce was not chopped as you would expect. No biggie! I just chopped it up myself. The bacon on it was scrumptious and the salmon was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The salad dressing was a creamy vinaigrette and it went perfectly with the dish. I recommend! We shared a Crème Brûlée that was HUGE and delicious as well. I ordered the passion fruit lemon drop drink and it was tasty and strong. The service was prompt and kind. He got all of our orders correct and was highly attentive. I'll definitely be back soon!! Cheers!

The hostess was very polite and friendly, we were seated quickly, and the restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. My only complaint about the dining room was that it was pretty warm inside. It didn't seem like the A/C was keeping up or working very well. Not unbearable, but definitely warmer than you'd expect. Our waiter was friendly and service was good throughout the meal. I ordered the coffee-rubbed steak with potatoes, asparagus, and red chile gravy. The steak had a heavy char on the outside with a lot of good flavor. I ordered it medium rare, and while the very center was cooked about right, it became considerably more done as you got toward the outside. Still a good steak overall, though. The potatoes were excellent--probably my favorite part of the plate. The asparagus was cooked well, and the red chile gravy was very good and went great with everything. Overall, a good meal, good service, nice atmosphere, and I thought the prices were pretty reasonable for the type of restaurant. I'd definitely eat here again.

Thanks. The option to make your own chacuterie board was new to us and favorable, nothing was left on the platter at the end of the meal. The use of local flavors on the flatbread pizzas was appreciated. We finished our meal with bowls of the seasonal cold treats, mint stracciatella gelato and pineapple sorbet. The mint flavor came through perfectly. I figure it was infused into the milk. More impressive, the gelato was served at the perfect consistancy, soft and melty in your mouth.

Last Friday, I came in to eat with my girlfriend on our date night and was amazed at how much hadn't changed with the decor and interior, in a good way! It was exactly like I remembered it, fish tank and all, and I was very nostalgic from the get go. We wanted to get the app sampler but it didn't have the option to come with onion rings so we ordered the Spinach dip and the Onion Rings on their own. Both were fantastic choices! Very flavorful and great texture for both! We also ordered the Presidente Sangria and their most popular drink, the Painkiller. The presidente tasted more like strawberry lemonade with a slight alcohol aftertaste, so expect it to be very sweet. The painkiller was great for me, but I can see it being a very strong drink to a lot of people, it was for my girlfriend and she was fine with one or two sips max. For dinner she ordered the beer battered Fish and Shrimp platter and asked for Fries and coleslaw as her sides. She absolutely loved it, and the tartar sauce and cocktail sauces were absolutely delicious. She said it was the Best coleslaw she's ever had and wants it to be a permanent choice for her side when we come back. I ordered the New Orleans Pasta and was also very happy with my choice! Where Her food was bright, citrusy and full of texture, my dish was smoky, deep and rich as a good pasta dish should be. The sausages and shrimp were great and the chicken was a little on the dry side but I will say it made up for it in flavor. Everything totaled to just below $75, which is a great price point for us after getting two appetizers, two entrees and two cocktails. We took the leftovers home and enjoyed it even more the next day. Our server was great too, I didn't catch his name but he was attentive and always relayed any delays from the kitchen and kept us updated on anything if we were still waiting. Top tier service and food, we can't wait to come back!

Disappointing first experience…read more Why would you call a customer and not leave a voicemail? For a first experience with Tokyo Bangkok, this was incredibly disappointing. My husband picked up an order that I had placed online. About 30 minutes after he picked it up, I noticed I had a missed call from the restaurant. The only voicemail left was essentially, "It's like a robot." Yes--that's the call screening...but why not leave an actual voicemail explaining why you were calling? Since I was still at work, I asked my husband to call the restaurant. We then learned that the main item we had paid for was never included in our order. I appreciate that you offered a refund for the missing item, but my husband specifically asked if the missing food could simply be delivered since it was the restaurant's mistake, and that request was declined. That was particularly frustrating. If the restaurant realized an item had been left out, why not clearly communicate that when calling? And if we hadn't noticed the missed call or followed up, would we ever have been notified about the missing item? Mistakes happen, but it's how a business handles those mistakes that makes a lasting impression. Unfortunately, this was our first experience with Tokyo Bangkok, and instead of leaving us excited to order again, it left a very bitter taste. I hope this was an isolated incident, but better communication and customer service would have made a significant difference
