The food is fresh and the staff is kind. I can tell why they have so many accolades. Rare to find a breakfast spot that can do it all. The vibe is casual, this place could be your next weekly tradition. Prices are fair. My recommendation try the home made jam, you won't regret it. It may sound like a lot packed into it, but don't let that deter you.

Delicious pecan crusted bacon. Unique and absolutely fantastically creamy and savory baked eggs. The "canoe wreck" was a conglomeration of tofu bits, onion, large potato chunks, and some sort of curry or otherwise Indian inspired thin sauce. It was truly a pile of food. Can't say I appreciated it due to the lack of actual tofu chunks and how it all glommed together into a mildly spicy curry type mix. Not appealing to me. The toast and bits of fruit on the side were nice. As usual they had multiple delectable bakery offerings such as a thin mint brownie and various cookies and mousse type desserts.

Came here on a Saturday morning. Ordered the waffles and the shipwreck. Also ordered the Lucky's signature latte which was very big and sort of sweet. The portion sizes were nice and very filling. I would say the toast is a little bit on the oily side. The jam used on the waffles were also pretty sweet. Overall, I would come back here again probably one of the better brunches I've had. I also like that all of the ingredients are locally sourced. The wait on a Saturday morning for two people wasn't too long and the servers were very nice. The interior was a little bit cramped, but it only added to the cozy feel of the restaurant.

This place is straight out of a Hallmark movie. SO cute and the staff were so friendly. This is a farm to table restaurant and our waitress was very knowledgeable about the food and ingredients used. I got the Biscuits and the Turtle Latte and both were to die for. Probably one of the best breakfast/brunch spots! Excited to come back and try their vast selection of baked goods and lunch menu.

Out to celebrate a birthday and had to check out this highly rated breakfast spot and it did not disappoint. The staff was very welcoming and the food was delicious and the s'mores latte was a great way to warm up the cold day. Best latte ever

I'm sorry to report that Lucky's is ABSOLUTELY worth the hype! We went on a rainy day, so there was no wait and we were seated right away. The service was fast and the workers were friendly. The food was phenomenal. I got the waffles and they were cooked very well. Light, fluffy, the homemade whipped cream was so good, and the strawberry rhubarb topping was to die for. The coffee was tasty, and the biscuits were delicious too. Overall rating: 5/5 stars What an amazing experience, there's not much else to say. I'll definitely be returning.

Cute little cafe in the heart of Tremont. Food is always great and was even featured on Diners Drive In's and Dives. Service is always friendly but they do get slammed, so just enjoy the coffee or tea and enjoy a relaxing morning.

We walked in at 11:40am on a Sunday and were told about 35 minute wait. (We gave our number and they called when our table was ready.) There didn't seem to be a waiting area inside so we walked around the neighborhood a bit. We were pleasantly surprised when only 11 minutes later we were called to be seated! From being seated at 11:52am... our food didn't get delivered until 1pm (not a typo). Our server was lousy. We asked for water 3x and never got it. We ended up walking to our car and bringing in our water bottles. He did acknowledge us eventually and took our drink orders. We were told that he'd take the drink order then the food a little later. When he took food orders, he didn't write them down. He had to come back to our table several minutes later to confirm our order before ringing it up. We saw him return to other tables to ask them to repeat their orders, too. We watched another table in his section repeatedly ask for water. We saw a table change their mind after waiting so long before being acknowledged. We watched him interact with a table (who had been warned of how slow he worked) tell him that she wanted to order both her drinks and food all at once. He flat out told her NO. So she just ordered food. It was a very frustrating environment to be in, as we saw other tables getting much better/quicker service from other servers and watched him not seem to care. We told ourselves that we would leave if we didn't get our food by a certain time. Then I convinced my husband to wait 5 more minutes. At 1pm it finally came out. (The potatoes weren't cooked as requested, but there was no way we were waiting any longer, and we received an item we hadn't ordered and sent back. Perhaps if our order was written down, this could have been avoided.) The bacon was delicious. We both enjoyed our food (was it really good or were we just starving, idk). The menu items were unique and sounded great. I probably wouldn't opt to revisit Lucky's (based on this experience).

Stopped by Lucky's in Cleveland to load up on carbs before a marathon. The food was excellent! I got the Shipwreck (eggs, toast, etc.), and my husband had the waffles. The bacon was delicious but extremely crunchy. And a special shoutout to the coffee: it was huge! Definitely the biggest cup I've ever been served.

I absolutely love Lucky's cafe for breakfast. Located in the heart of Tremont this quaint restaurant is a true gem. My friends and I went for a girls brunch on an early Sunday morning. We arrived within 5 minutes of them opening and we were able to walk right in and be seated immediately. Parking was available on the street but the spots get taken fast so prepare to walk if you have to. All the staff were so welcoming and attentive. Our waitress was so sweet and took great care of us. The food is so fresh and delicately crafted. I ordered the smothered cheddar biscuits from tv lol they were truly a star of the menu to me! A must try for sure. I also had a fresh cinnamon roll and that was tasty too. I will be back more often to try more menu items in the future. I rate this place a 9.5/10!

Came on a Friday at lunch time and luckily was able to snag the last table. Super cute inside. The service was so good. I got the grilled cheese that was on special and loved it!

Popular brunch spot in tremont, known for their two Foodnetwork featured items (Biscuits and Lucky's Rueben) and their amazing cinnamon rolls. Their speciality coffees are also worth the hype! Get up early on a weekend and get in line for Lucky's Cafe! The wait normally isn't bad, and if there is a long wait, stop by a neighborhood coffee shop (Roasted, Civilizations) to grab a coffee. When the weather is nicer, their patio is also open, which allows for more seating! Stop by Lucky's if you haven't had a chance!!

I don't usually go for sweets at brunch, but I tried the waffle and it was absolutely amazing--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and full of flavor. I thought I ordered hash browns, but they turned out to be more like oven-roasted potatoes--and honestly, I wasn't even mad because they were still incredible. Parking was surprisingly easy, and the staff were kind and welcoming. The coffee was just okay--nothing special--but everything else made up for it. Great spot for a cozy, satisfying brunch. I'll definitely be back! Like this review if it was helpful.

Can't say what the food tastes like because after waiting 45 minutes for our food to be served we had to leave (hungry) to catch a flight.

Do you have a kid's menu?

On checking their website, I don't see a specific menu for kids. But maybe if you go in, they may be able to make a kid friendly portion for your son or daughter. It's worth a try or simply phone them during their open hours and ask.

Is this a place you get waited on?

    Yes

    BYOB for brunch?

Yes! We learned this the hard way. A lot of people apparently bring their own bottle of champagne and they order a pitcher of OJ to go with it.

I had never had Yemeni coffee before so I asked the barista for suggestions. Based on the fact that I wanted to also try one of their beautiful milk cakes (like a tres leches), I opted for the Mufawar coffee since he said it was less sweet and a bestseller. It was served on an adorable bamboo tray, piping hot and very strong! It had a unique flavor and paired well with my saffron milk cake. Yes...I said saffron. I was very hesitant to try this after he described saffron to me, so I actually got both saffron and biscoff milk cakes. Wow, this man knew his stuff! The saffron milk cake was absolutely scrumptious!!! And who doesn't love a biscoff cookie?! I had to take that one to go. I hope to return to Cleveland soon so I can try the pistachio latte (a sweeter coffee) and possibly a different flavor of milk cake. The coffee shop was quite large, bright, and tastefully decorated with lots of gold accents. I loved my experience there!

(It could have been earlier but my 5 star review of this place 16 years ago is an objective starting point). Although I have spent much of the past 23 years living in various places outside of both Cleveland and Ohio, I'm a born and raised East Side Clevelander. And whenever I resettle in the area, I always find myself gravitating back to Algebra Tea House for the good vibes. In the past several months that I have been visiting, I'm happy to see the place really feels like a cultural community hub and an outright neighborhood institution. Over the years, many unique small businesses that have shuttered operations in Coventry (China Treasure House, Big Fun, Record Revolution, La Cave du Vin), Cedar-Fairmount (Nighttown). I'm so happy to see that Algebra Tea House is thriving and continuing to create a unique and inviting environment for the neighborhood. I love the unpretentious and lo-fi atmosphere and operation. I love the DIY craftsmanship that permeates in every aspect of the business. The food and beverage options are also quite good. Although I haven't been around for many years, I think maybe there are more offerings on the menu these days. I especially love the vegetable stews on their chalkboard menu and the foul madamas (fava beans). Service is lo-fi and very casual. Just place your order at the counter. It is written on a scratch pad. Sit down and be patient. The food or beverage will then be delivered to your table. Pay on your way out. Bring cash if you want to avoid a credit card transaction fee.

Parma Heights is so far, guys. So so far... So after fangirling over the lush, girly decor and taking ALL the pictures ever, my 5 friends and I ordered at the counter a bougie drink and a plate of food each. There's abundant seating in this two story cafe so we found a table and waited between 5 and 10 minutes for it all to be ready. Despite my goal to stop spending money on beverages, I spent $8 on a regular sized iced decaf carrot cake latte with almond milk. Delicious and definitely instagrammable, but RIP to my money. I regret not taking the lovely glass it was served to me in, but my conscious kicked in and I didn't pilfer it. Haha! For dinner, I originally wanted to get a pizza but changed my mind last minute due to it being 90 degrees outside. So instead, I got an italian panini with a side of potato chips ($14). I don't like mayo so asked that be taken off. The only sauces they have are mayo, hot sauce, and horseradish mayo. I got the horseradish mayo on the side, but didn't really use it. I hope they can add mustard and ketchup to their sauce lineup in the future. All in all, I spent about $24. All 6 of us had very instagramable food and drinks. They looked better than they tasted for the most part. I liked my drink and panini but didn't love it, especially for the price. My friends lavender lemon loaf was gorgeous, but sadly dry. I love the look, like the menu, and wish Cafe Blanc wasn't so outrageously far away! I'd love to get brunch here with my gal pals! I wanna get one of their dessert crepes, please and thank you! I am giving Cafe Blanc 4.5 stars out of 5.

We all visited Cafe Blanc for the first time and loved our experience especially the large (free) parking lot. We sat on the 2nd level towards the back. QUICK REVIEW (read this if you don't want to read this whole review): Try the potato pancakes. Great food and service. Slightly more elevated cafe. Busy during peak morning/afternoon hours and most likely less busy in the evenings. I have not been in the evening yet. Free parking lot and free wifi. FOOD - there are lots of food options to choose from for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have sandwiches, salads, pizza, and pastries. I arrived around 10:20am so I wanted breakfast. I read that the croissants are okay but I haven't tried them. I ordered the potato pancakes, blueberry hibiscus tea (hot) as a dine-in order plus a slice of almond cake as a takeout order. The potato pancakes ($19) was delicious. It comes with 3 thick potato pancakes topped an egg on the center and with bacon bits spread all over. The potato pancakes also come with sour cream on the side which I didn't realize so I moved that to the side of my plate because I don't like or eat sour cream. I would order the potato pancakes again as a savory breakfast item but $19 is a little steep for the price. The blueberry hibiscus tea ($4) was a refreshing drink served on a mug. If you enjoy the combination of white tea leaves, rose hips, natural blueberry, and hibiscus then this tea is for you. I also ordered an almond cake slice ($6) but to go. The almond cake is a light and tasty cake with sliced/shaved almonds on top. SERVICE -- Friendly. Me and one of the shorter female employee had a nice laugh when I went down later in the day to order an almond cake. They started getting busy when I arrived after 10am on a weekday but I was able to walk right up to the front counter to order. The buzzer handed to me buzzed probably within 15-20 mins and I went down to get my order. I believe the tea that I ordered was ready first. Overall, I'll definitely be back. Prices are higher than a traditional cafe. The plus is that there is free wifi so it's a perfect spot to work on your laptop. The tables are big and the chairs are comfortable. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 99/250 total reviews in 2026 - 940 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 27 May 2026

I visited Shibam Coffee this week, on Monday, 8 June 2026 to work for a few hours. It was cold inside but thankfully I had a light jacket. The Jubani coffee was good which is great because I'm actually not a coffee drinker but the flavour wasn't as strong as I noticed when I tried it at a different Yemeni coffee shop. I still liked the Jubani coffee and I added some sugar to it. The baklava was delicious as expected but slightly too cold. Although I wasn't greeted when I entered, the young man working said hi after I said hello. Another employee kindly took my photo next to the Shibam Coffee sign/logo that was inside. Weirdly, there was no trash can inside so to get rid of the napkin that I used, I had to ask an employee to throw it away for me behind the service counter. There is a trash can in the bathroom though. Overall, if you haven't experienced a Yemen, based coffee shop then visit Shibam Coffee. The Adeni tea, a popular item, is on their menu but I haven't had it at Shibam yet (I have had the Adeni tea many times before at other Yemen coffee shops).
