I went out with some friends, and Luella really did not let us down! The staff was fantastic, and the decor was so nice, it made the whole place feel special. The food was also incredibly delicious and packed with flavor. The stuffed mushrooms were a real highlight--they were a special, imported from Italy, and then there were the stuffed Wagyu ravioli. The chocolate cake was the perfect finishing touch, making the whole meal complete. It was also nice because the chef came over towards the end of our meal to chat with us and ask how we enjoyed everything.

No visible child policy at point of reservation
    Jared W.

We were genuinely excited to dine at Luella and made our reservation well in advance. At no point during the booking process--especially on OpenTable--was there any mention of a child‑related policy. Because nothing in the reservation flow indicated otherwise, we had no reason to think bringing our infant would be an issue. Then, on the day of our reservation, we received a call informing us of the policy. Only after receiving this call did we discover that the restaurant does have a nebulously worded "no children under 10" rule, but it's tucked away in a buried section of their website rather than presented anywhere a guest would naturally see it while making a reservation. To be clear: I fully respect a business's right to set its own rules. What I don't respect is a lack of transparency and basic courtesy. This policy should be disclosed upfront, especially when a reservation explicitly notes an infant. Instead, we were blindsided with last‑minute notice, forcing us to scramble and adjust plans for family who had traveled into town. This was entirely avoidable and, frankly, rude. If Luella wants to enforce age restrictions, that's their prerogative. But hiding the policy, failing to surface it during the reservation process, and only mentioning it hours before the meal is unacceptable. For a restaurant positioning itself as a premium Buckhead dining experience, the lack of professionalism was surprising and disappointing. Atlanta has plenty of excellent restaurants that value their guests' time and communicate clearly. We'll be choosing one of them next time.

Food was incredible and service was impeccable. One of my favorite meals of the year.

Absolute vibe, this place can be both chic and laid back, people in suits and ties and jeans and boots. We sat at a high top in the bar and it had great energy so I'd recommend this place for happy hours and late cocktails. Brooke provided fantastic service and was super knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the Caesar salad, burrata and ribeye. Very happy with those choices, great flavor and presentation. And hope to come back to try a few other things. Great date spot or place for a celebration

I had a deeply disappointing and humiliating experience at Luella while attempting to celebrate my birthday. I was denied entry by staff who claimed my outfit was 'too revealing', despite being fully covered. It was an incredibly degrading experience that left me in tears before I was ever even seated. What makes this particularly upsetting is the blatant inconsistency and apparent bias in how the dress code is enforced. I was singled out and subjected to an unprofessional and degrading 'check' at the door, yet I witnessed other patrons being permitted entry while wearing outfits that were far more revealing than my own. Only after being put through this ordeal was my party finally seated. While the food was good, it could not make up for the discriminatory treatment I faced. As a Black woman in Atlanta, this kind of subjective, exclusionary 'gatekeeping' is completely unacceptable. I will never return, and I would caution others against supporting a business that treats guests this way, regardless of their body type or personal style.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while so I finally decided to take myself to dinner this past Saturday. I arrived at about 7:30pm. I had no reservation and the bar was mostly full but the manager Andrew found a single seat at the bar. My bartender was David and he made the best drinks. Both gave great recommendations on food. I loved the Gouda fries. I'll definitely be back to try the pasta and a few more cocktails. This place was really chill and had good music.

I went to Luella for NYE + my anniversary and had the perfect night. From the host stand to our server, Sonya, everyone was great. The decor in here is so chic. We started with the Gouda fries, great choice. For entrees we had the crab & artichoke lasagna, roasted half chicken, Brussels, and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were complimentary because the kitchen wasn't satisfied with the first batch of Brussels they prepared so they gave us the potatoes while we waited for a new serving. Great customer service move! I will definitely be back!

Carpaccio was my personal favorite. The veal parm was the best thing to hit the table. Service was top notch, both at the bar for cocktails before and at the table. The vibe inside is the perfect amount of old school decor and great playlist mix. Valet only for parking.

Had dinner with my sisters to celebrate a birthday. I live in NY and was in town for a few days. I mention NY because you know my bar is high in regard to fine dinning and steak houses. The entrance catches your eye when you walk up. That is a sign you're in for a treat. We were seated right away, in the back room with the fireplace and the Christmas tree. That was the perfect vibe we needed. Now for the food. The waiter, so sorry I forget his name was so pleasant. I also loved that he was proactive with his recommendations. We shared the following. The Crab Cake, Rosemary Focaccia, Tomahawk, Brussels Sprouts, Gouda Fries, Carrot Cake, and Chocolate Cake. The portions are generous and everything was amazing. Like I mentioned, I'm from NY and I know a good steak and let me tell you, this hit the mark. All around 10. If you can get a res, you need to check it out. Next time I'm in town I def will.

Such an incredible evening spent at Luella celebrating the opening of Buckhead's newest dining jewel! Walking in the door, we were blown away by the elegant design & color drenched atmosphere, every attention to detail is thoughtfully curated! Truly, a stellar & magical experience from the out of the world small plates to our main courses & sides to share, then onto to desserts! Not to be missed is their gorgeous bar & crafted margaritas, best I've ever had! Luella is just what this city needed to bring back the ART of fine dining in an extraordinarily mouth watering and artful style! Every dish was a standout from this creative and decadent menu, so hard to make the decision on what to save for next time! Our server Kai (and his team) was not only attentive and professional, he delivered with excellence in his table side manner, recommendations and knowledge of each dish! Where to start: Don't sleep on the small plates! Decadent Italian cheese Pugliese Burrata, braised beef Wagyu croquettes, melt in your mouth smoked chili butter crab cakes, and the rosemary focaccia with nocellara olive oil... ALL outstanding! We then moved onto the incredible spicy lobster rigatoni with vodka sauce, the crisp ceasar salad & the Luella salad with charred scallion + benne seed dressing to share! Every bite better than the last, on all 3!! Main course & sides to share: we were ready to get into the rock stars of the menu, the steaks! 3 of us has the mouth watering 12oz Luella signature bone in filet cooked to perfection and 1 had the unbelievable 20oz bone in ribeye! We shared gouda fries, white balsamic glaze brussel sprouts, cultured butter whipped potatoes and the Marsala glazed wild mushrooms! WoW, each extraordinary and not to be missed! We closed out the evening (even though we were full to the brim) with another margarita ;) and shared the gorgeous bananas foster cheesecake & delicious chocolate and pistachio budino Italian custard. Both straight out of the clouds! THANK you Luella... for bringing your vision to fruition, for such an amazing night to slow down, connect with family, take our taste buds to the stars and to share in the joy & creative artistry of Chef Stuart making his magic in the cuisine of his dreams! Bravo, well done from start to finish! 1000/10!

Right when we walked in, the staff complained to us that we hadn't called ahead to have a "smaller, special menu" crafted for a large party. To make matters worse, they loudly announced to the whole table right off rip that they wouldn't split checks separately--only an even split. It felt incredibly rude, lazy, and unwelcoming. The irony is that the large group size wasn't even an issue; we staggered our arrivals and the patio was completely empty. The kicker- my brother in law ended up paying the whole tab at the end anyways! so all of that initial laziness & nastiness for NOTHING! Throughout the night, the service felt incredibly rushed and stressed. While we were still eating our appetizers, the busser was aggressively trying to clear our plates because the mains were coming. Our server was very short with us the entire time, which was confusing because the restaurant didn't even have a stressful vibe. She recommended a main dish to me that I really didn't care for, though I will say the salsa was unique and probably the best part of the meal. Shoutout to the one staff member who was actually friendly, but overall, this is not the kind of place where you leave feeling like you had a nice restaurant experience- at least I personally didn't.. Too bad we didn't just go to C&S next door which we always love. Regardless tho, my sister had a blast, but that's entirely because she has a wonderful crew of great friends, not because of Casi Cielo.

My date had on a baseball cap...told it was not permitted, fine he took it back to the vehicle. Then told we could not be seated because he had on basketball shorts(he did not) they were white linen shorts by Lacoste and a Gucci Polo shirt. Nothing was said about his shoes just the shorts. So I asked, since it wasn't crowded outside(only two people) can we be seated out there.... which was where we wanted to be seated anyway. They finally agreed to that. Once we got over this hurdle... it was up from there! Welllll one big thing slightly angered, more so disappointed me... I'll get into that later. The patio seating was nice, nothing extravagant, pretty comfortable. The outside bar area was nice. Our waiter was such a gentleman, really nice, attentive, all around good service...hate I can't remember his name‍ Now the reason for a truly decent review: food... Cocktails: Kentucky Mules and French Connections APPETIZERS: Oyster Rockefeller and Roasted Bone Marrow SALAD: Baby Iceberg Wedge SIDES: Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Garlic Spinach, and Lobster Mac & Cheese Stars of the show: Lamb Porterhouse and Ribeye-aged 35 days Everything was delicious.... well my date wasn't crazy about the Bone Marrow(lol) By the time we got to our main course, we had gotten pretty full, so we didn't eat much. Y'all why we(he) forgot our foodit was on the table before I went to the restroom, when I returned it was gone.... I would say him and the waiter had the food under control..... sooooo who left the food?(I was the birthday girl) We did have a few bites of everything so we, had the memories of how delicious the main course was. There restroom was clean and spacious we know this is important Now let's get into my problem, disappointment, and slight anger.... I told y'all we weren't aloud inside because of the hat(he took off) and the shorts(they said basketball NOT) We're enjoying ourselves we here a little ruckus and see a small crowd... don't think much, besides saying, "well we know they'll be sitting outside with us if they stay". Glance over and see a few outside. Time passes, we see men with baseball caps, jerseys, t-shirts, and basketball shorts, come out to smoke....Oh no, I know good and well.... I go in to use the restroom, guess what I see inside.... everything that prevented us from being seated inside....The compliments I received saying how nice I looked, fell on deaf ears. Now don't get me wrong we wanted to be seated outside anyway, the problem was....the option to be taken away and seeing everything that prevented us was seen inside was a problem for me(remember they had to think about allowing us to sit out there). Mentioned what was seen to our waiter.... he says the manager or owner is from I believe Morocco or maybe Portugal and he was hosting them this evening. For us to still be there and being served, it was still business hours, so I hope y'all understand the problem I had..... The acceptance of the FIFI fans being in our city, who will eventually leave and we who will be here when there gone...WOW! I'll leave it all right there..... Just know this want be the location for us/me next time.
