I had a bad experience the last time I was there thought I'd give them another chance! WORST DECISION EVER!!!! I mean who burns shrimp parmigiana!??????? This is horrid!!!! I paid OVER $20 for THIS plate???? BURNT shrimp! The sauce tastes like sugar and water! The proof is in the photo! How is this place still open!!!!?? And the guy upfront places it in the brown bag so you don't see till you get home? And that stuck up bitch in the front needs to learn customer service for real!!!! The health dept needs to go check the back the kitchen because if you burn shrimp what is going on back there who's cooking back there a 6 year old? I'm SO done with this place and I'm telling all my neighbors too!!!! The worst pizzeria EVER!!!! Next time I'll go down the block better!

This review would be 4-stars if it weren't for delivery. The food is good. Had a veggie pie, fried calamari, stuffed garlic knots (which are basically ham and cheese sliders), a chicken Caesar salad, and veal parm with a side salad. The pizza was fine, the salads were good, I liked the calamari though my dad said it was "too bready and overcooked," and my favorite was the veal. Delivery came on time. However, I guess the buzzer wasn't working and the person didn't think to call my cell phone??? He just left the food OUTSIDE...in the middle of a few-hundred unit apartment complex. Thank goodness I checked my texts and saw he left it outside because I ran down so fast. One second later and it would've been snatched 100%.

Guy delivered pizza out OF A MILK CRATE. SIDEWAYS. Our pizza was destroyed. Guy on the phone says, "It's not my problem, it's Uber." Refused to send us a new pizza. GARBAGE PLACE. NO NO NO.

I have to admit, Luigi's is a solid local pizzeria that I had never visited in all of my years in the area. They serve the typical cheese and specialty (ex: buffalo chicken, bbq chicken, white pizza, pepperoni, fresh mozzarella) pizza slices that most pizzerias in the Sheepshead Bay neighborhood sell these days. My wife and I came in on cool Saturday evening at 7pm and there weren't many customers inside, but the employees were still very friendly. We took a quick look at the pizza slices and we both got 2 each. My wife went with the fresh mozzarella and buffalo chicken, while I got the white pizza and bbq chicken. Like I said, it was solid and I was surprised at how fresh tasting the pizza was after heating, despite it probably sitting outside for hours. In addition, the flavors on all of the pizzas were really good - the fresh mozzarella had good tang, the buffalo chicken was one of the better buffalo chicken slices I had in a while, the white pizza was very cheesy and the bbq chicken was interesting, but I loved the combination. There was nothing else really special about the pizzeria, other than the fact that the employees were relatively friendly, which unfortunately IS a surprise these days at local restaurants. The pizza was tasty and good and the prices were typical. I actually would come by again if I was ever craving pizza in the neighborhood.

One of the better pizzerias on Avenue U. They've been around for decades and have been pretty consistent in their products. I came in near closing because I had a craving for garlic knots and the worker there was kind enough to get a new batch started for me since there were only 4 pieces left for the day. They don't have anything unique or a signature like what you would find in the city, but for a pizzeria deep in Brooklyn, they serve their purpose well. Most of their things are just okay quality.

Although my preference is for sourdough, slightly blistered crusts, this largely semolina pie was spectacular. Delivery showed up right on time and piping hot. The proximity of this place to my apartment is going to be a very hard temptation to resist.

Another order - again no problem; and excellent round pies, veal cutlet parm hero - now they are sending soda on the house, which is a nice touch. Delivery guys always friendly. They do get busy, so there is a wait at times, so what? Beats the others in Sheepshead/Marine Park. read more

Dear Luigi, You have no skills. Your sauce is sour and gross, your crust is soggy and your hot peppers are older then dirt. Your employees are callous uncaring bastards. I've given you many chances. I really wanted this relationship to work. You are so close, and so convenient. I was willing to forgive you, and let you try again and again to feed me a semi-decent slice of pizza. That last slice you gave me put me over the top. Our relationship is over. You are a disgrace to Brooklyn. No more love from me! read more

My wife and I were doing some shopping on Avenue U and decided we wanted a little snack, so we ordered 2 slices of plain pizza and a coke. We both were extremely happy with the taste, and also the nice thin crust and excellent flavor. The cheese and sauce were delicious. At this point we'll definitely be going back and try some of their other offerings. They have a new customer, for sure. read more

I second the previous review. The food here is just awful. I don't think it is fair to even call it pizza. The cheese is wrong and the sauce is awful. If you want a real slice of pizza go a couple of blocks up to Trio. read more

Luigi's is an institution in southern Brooklyn, it's been in business for decades. I love their food, the pizza has a very pleasant tomato sauce with a certain subtle sweetness to it. The pizzas are always baked to perfection. I've ordered many of their dishes and have not come across one that didn't satisfy me. Their stuffed garlic knots are wonderful (ham and cheese in the knot topped with toasted garlic on top). Great eatery. read more

I use to live in another part of Brooklyn where you're almost guaranteed to get a decent, regular slice of pizza that tastes fresh. Here, I tasted my first and worse slice of pizza. I ordered a reg slice with black Olives, simple right? The worker simply threw black olives on top and heated it in the oven. I was served a pizza that tasted days old with ALL of my olive pieces falling all over the place. You'd think that the worker would have had enough common sense to put a little bit of mozzarella, to use as a "glue" so that the toppings can stay in place. I probably won't ever come back here again. read more

Checking out pizzas in Ave. U and I come along this place because there's always a special for two slices of cheese pizzas and a can of soda. I usually order that because to me that is cheap. I also add garlic knots which always taste fresh and not burnt unlike other places on Ave. U. It's not the greatest and is more average, but if you're craving for fresh pizza, go to Luigi's. read more

If you want good Brooklyn style pizza in the neighborhood, I would highly recommend this place. Their pizza is made perfect with just the right amount of sauce to cheese ratio on thin pizza crust. If you order $20 or more, you get a free 2 liter bottle of soda. read more

Order this: Penne Alla Vodka Sauce with cut up chicken, melted mozzarella on top, and ask for it well done! You won't be disappointed! I order this about twice a week when I don't wanna cook...LOL! Service is good in my book. Also, the Fettuccine Alfredo w/Chicken is awesome too. Oh, and their Cheese Cake is almost like Junior's! Thank you Luigi! read more

First and last time experience. If it's one thing in this world you should be able to get what you want when you order it, it's pizza. At Luigi's apparently you can't get that. Even when you requested something over three times. Went into Luigi's for the first time because coworkers of mine always said you should try Luigi's. So I decided to try today and ordered a green peppers and chicken pie for my staff. Upon going in there I asked one of the servers how much is the pie and he told me $26. I said fine then I asked Can I have my chicken and green peppers diced up very well. He responded "sure I can do it". I said I mean very small diced up not chopped up diced up, he said yeah I got you he then sends me over to the order section. I go over to the order section and begin to place my order. Once again I asked another server can I have my chicken green peppers diced up very small I don't like big chunks. He said "of course I got you". Placed the order for delivery, left and went back to my Store. Upon reaching back to My Store I said you know what let me call and remind them again because I know how things are so I called again hi this is the guy who just left and ordered the pizza I just called to remind you guys that can I have the chicken and green peppers diced up because I just want it to be that way he said we got you he was very adamant about it understanding* what I asked for. But then not to my surprise and not to my shock when the pizza came it was nothing like what I requested after being told over four times yes we understand and we got you and then they just did what they usually do...smh wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who loves pizza trios is the block away utilize it. read more

My boyfriend and i went at 10:30pm on a saturday night for two slices and the guy there with the googly eye assured us the pie we were getting the slices from were fresh out the oven, when in fact, they were cold and stale. The service is terrible. We got the $5.50 deal with two slices and a soda. My boyfriend handed him his card and the guy was like "Are you serious man? You can't pay with card with the deal." when nowhere does it say CASH ONLY. Avoid this place. There are plenty of pizza stores nearby. The service is bad and the pizza is definitely NOT worth it. Would've have definitely avoided this place if they weren't the only pizza store open at the time. read more

I'm kicking myself in the ass for not trying Luigi's sooner after I moved around this neighborhood. The few times I have been here so far, the staff here was super nice, and always friendly and welcoming The regular slice here is perfect, thinner dough, perfect crisp, and good sauce to cheese ratio, and overall delicious flavor The white slice here is also perfect, good cheese to ricotta ratio, slice has a ton of flavor, no seasoning needed My no fail go to now read more

I ordered pizza and was very upset once I sat down to eat. My food was cold. I live within a 5 min drove from the place. The regular slice was good thankfully and the grandma slice, ive had bettee. pepperoni roll didn't look appetizing at all like it's a few days old and I reheated it and it smelled funny like there bleach or something in. When I tried it, it tasted very moldy. I love their garlic knots, one of my favorite, but 2/3 were burnt and rock solid so I threw them out. Very upset last time in ordering from here read more

Didn't get a fresh pie. It was very chewy. I think they reheated a pie they had sitting around. Either that or the quality just went way down. I should've suspected something when they told me it'd be ready in 10 minutes. Disappointing meal for $17.50 read more

Went there today to get 2 slices of pizza. The pepperoni that they had out was sitting there for at least 5 hours and the cheese was hard as rock. They only had 3 slices left, so I politely asked if I could get the fresh slice that had just came out and they told me no. Great customer service, smh. Horrible!!!! read more

would like to stress again that in the food industry especially! if i have not happy with the quality of food there should be a refund or compensation and trade option. the fact that there was no one willing to work with me regarding THEIR disgusting food is a shame. Luigi's pizza is a joke. DO NOT GIVE THESE HORRIBLE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY. if i had ate in and not delivered i would have walked out not paying them a dime i lost 30 dollars on a poor excuse for pizza. worst pizza place i've ever had worst service worst manager i've ever spoken to. what a horrible experience read more

if i could put no stars i would. this is the WORST service i've ever had. after getting my food delivered i quickly realized that the food quality was off. the garlic knots were hard and stale the penne vodka slice was seriously red tomato pasta on pizza. the cesar salad slice tasted like blue cheese. the spinach roll was RAW on the inside. i called and expressed my concerns and i was hung up on twice. it is baffling that as a costumer i can't call and speak to a boss/manager without legit getting hung up on. as a costumer if i am not happy with my purchase of i am not happy with raw stale old disgusting tasting food a refund it the least you can do or even an exchange but no this pizza finds it appropriate it just hang up and deny the costumer any possible positive outcome. read more

I just had a cheese pizza delivered to me. The pizza took 30 minutes to get to me so that was timely which reflected in my tips... but there was a strange taste to my pizza. The sauce tastes like it had cigarette ashes mixed in. I'm sure if I ordered pepperoni pizza, the saltiness of the meat would have masked the strange flavor but that's not the case. read more

Very disappointed in everything I ordered. Everything was either bland or way too oily. Ordered penne a la vodka, fettuccini Alfredo with grilled chicken ( chicken was very dry and pasta was very oily ), and an eggplant roll which was horrible and it was room temperature. Nice staff, but if you're going to order from here just go with the pizza they offer, none of the platters, rolls or entrees. read more

Blandness on all three levels: tasteless crust, off-tasting sauce, and basic cheese. Not good, not bad, just mediocre. It's an overcharge at $2.50 per cheese slice. Service is quick, so if you need a quick bite when quality is optional, this place will do just fine. read more

Every now and then... and I mean... every now and then you find a place that leaves you in awe they are still in business. I ordered a chicken sandwich... which tasted as if it were cooked on someones dirty radiator... totally disgusting. Also ordered 2 cheeseburger deluxe which they totally forgot the fries and when I called the order taker simply said "Well, we didn't charge you so".... I mean wow!!! I ordered 2 slices of pizza for my daughter who loooooves pizza and she could barely make it thru the first slice and asked for peanut butter and jelly.... SMFH! Their real moment of glory though has got to go to their horrendous interpretation of antipasto... I will include this in as a pic for all to see. I've eaten antipasto from push carts delivered with more class and style... This was rolled up freezer burned cold cuts tossed into what looked like lettuce and veggies they keep in their cellar and deliver to you mucky and slimy.... EWWWWWWWWWWWWW. By all means, the reviews up on here speak for themselves. Stay the hell away unless your just looking to throw your money out the window.... and maybe even your health. read more

I occasionally stop by this pizza place when I walk home from work. Their pizza is pretty good compared to many places. The crust are thin and cheese is thick. A very good Brooklyn pizza. Recommended for pizza lovers! read more

I like their pizzas because of the good tomato sauce. But I do not like the chef touch the money with the same hands that make your pizza. He puts my pizza in the oven and then take my cash.. then take my pizza out and serves us. They should assign one person to take care of the order and bill. read more

probably the best pizza I've had in new york! this location is way less busy than the manhattan…read moreones, and if you get in just before 6pm you'll barely have to wait in line. by 6:15 the line was out the door! they're very quick to serve you but they only have a few narrow counters to stand and eat at. get in and get out! the fig jam and bacon was a fantastic slice, can't get that anywhere else. the tartufo was a personal favorite and would definitely get that again. I'd absolutely recommend this pizza to anyone visiting over any other shop!

The individuals I support are on limited incomes and cannot afford meals from establishments such as yours, so they bring their own lunches while staff members purchase food and beverages from your business. A manager approached us and informed us that outside food was not permitted, even though purchases had been made. We were then asked to leave and eat outside in the hot weather. I understand that businesses have policies regarding outside food, and I respect the need to enforce them. However, I believe this situation could have been handled with greater compassion and understanding, given that the group consisted of individuals with disabilities who rely on packed lunches due to financial limitations. As someone who has consistently supported your establishment, I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility and empathy shown. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I will no longer be bringing my business or the individuals I support to your establishment. I hope this feedback encourages your management team to consider a more accommodating approach when serving members of the disability community in the future.
