I live near a construction zone and twice in the last few months I have gotten a nail in one of my tires (different tires each time). I first went to Luis's shop in January and then again in April. Located on Fredericksburg Rd, close to Wonderland Mall, It looks like your standard tire shop, and they do some auto repair as well. Both times I've been in and out in about 10 minutes. Both times, the repair to my tire has cost $15. They're not the chattiest bunch nor will I say they provide friendly customer service, but they do the job you're asking them to do and they do it quickly. Update: I stopped by to get my front rotors and brakes done on a Friday at 4:30pm. It took Luis about an hour to get them done. **Purchase parts before you arrive. There's an Auto Zone down the street** Returned Saturday morning at 8am to repair my rear brake drums & brake shoes. It's a little more work so it took him just under two hours. I think it would've been faster but him and one other mechanic are the only ones answering the phone so he's constantly having to stop. If you call you might get the rude shop helper that can't quote you a price so maybe I can provide an estimate of some of the services I've had done to give you an idea. These are only prices for labor. I've had to bring in parts. Tire patch - $10 Front Rotors & brakes - $90 Rear brake job - $90 Alternator - $95 Luis and the shop helper weren't wearing mask during my recent visits. I'd recommend double masking and waiting outside as the shop helper came inside often to sit and make personal calls. Most customers that came in kept masks on. read more

English is not the predominant language but don't let that deter you if you don't speak Spanish, Luis helped me up front and the communication passed on to the mechanic that ended up fixing my tire. I called Luis's to check to see if they could schedule me to fix my flat with a used tire and was told to come by anytime. When I arrived at the store, an employee came up and checked the tire size I needed. Within 15 minutes I was back on the road with a perfectly good used tire for an incredibly cheap price. As a woman, I have been repairing my own cars for over 40 years, hence, I have knowledge about cars, especially I make it a point to know about my car, and repairs needed.
