We're locals...but not crazy. A breakfast here on the weekend is more of an event than breakfast;) The dark, happening, vintage bar is very inviting. The double Bloody Mary's help. Pro tip: Smile at the waitress, ask for the chili bean omelette with cheese and diced tomatoes. It's not on the menu but they'll make it...if you smile:) Lots of love for this place.

I love a good classic diner! They have everything on the menu that you could possibly want. We opted to share the prime rib for dinner and it was so massive Great staff and service, would come here again if we're in town!

We sat in the casual, coffee shop area of the restaurant. Prime rib dinner was good. Service was excellent.

Let's say we loved the breakfast and the service by Jackie was outstanding. Ran the Redding Marathon and big decision to eat post race. Big menu. Lots of choices. Our server Jackie promptly greeted us. Coffee fresh and hot! Now help me decide. She made a few recos and sold us on waffles. I went with her Apple waffle. We also did a plain. Sides of fresh hot hash browns. Truly crisp and perfect . Bacon was thicker and fab taste and consistency. Jackie was attentive and friendly and you could tell a professional server. Guess we will have to drive back 3 hours for another meal.

Not particularly clean, so-so service, and on their best day average food. Not worth going when there are so many better options downtown.

Service was good. Atmosphere depressing and food was not good. Would not go there again. Should have gone to in and out down the road.

Found a bug in my steak salad. I unfortunately got a little sick from the meat. The tots tasted like fish.

Located in the Placer Heights Plaza, next to Starbucks. Same plaza as Holiday Market and CVS Pharmacy. We were seated immediately as they were not busy. The menu was a bit different than online. Our server came to take our order. He didn't introduce himself and seemed like he didn't want to be there. We decided on the fried green tomatoes, fried chicken sandwich and catfish po' boy. When the po' boy came out, we thought it was burnt! We didn't know the catfish will be blackened by default. We thought it will be fried since it is a po' boy. The options can be blackened or fried based on the menu online. We were not given those options by our server. They brought out the food but didnt provide utensils until minutes later. Fried green tomatoes: It was good. Fried perfectly. The dressing that was tossed with the side salad was super salty. Catfish po' boy: Fish was tender but super salty as well. Fried chicken sandwich: Pretty good sandwich. Chicken was huge. The fries was so soggy, not crispy at all. Also very greasy. We were a bit disappointed as we drove out of our way to try this place. Nice ambiance though. I felt I was a bit underdressed lol

I ordered the breakfast burrito and my partner had some pancakes. The burrito was decently sized tasted fresh and was nice and filling, no complaints there. The pancakes were really good and fluffy. Staff was friendly whipped up some spicy salsa for me since my breakfast burrito needed a little kick and was very attentive. There's a good amount of seating for the size of the place and they had a small bar area which I thought was a nice touch. Solid little spot of people to stop by and grab a bite to eat.

For starters we had steamed clams, calamari and meatballs. For our mains we decided on their Bistro Filet Ravioli, which has Ricotta, Romano, Parmesan, and Asiago jumbo stuffed raviolis, creamy alfredo, chili flakes, topped with their signature pan-seared bistro filet tips. It was amazing. We also had their Ribeye steak at about $53.00. I think it was a 14oz hand-cut ribeye, and it had the best butter on it. It came with mashed Yukon potatoes and marinated asparagus. We will be getting all of this again. We were staying in a hotel so took home some great pasta. The service is great. The food is amazing and the place is just so cute and ever so clean.

It was comfortable, quiet, and I enjoyed watching the bartender and the kitchen staff at work. We were in time for Happy Hour and I took advantage of the $4 draft beer (Farmer's Light - fruity and fun); my wife went upscale and had a regular-priced glass of merlot ($8). Both of us had the chicken cranberry salad - it was delicious, with lots of chicken. The bread was good, too. Our server kept us fed and watered and was very helpful and pleasant. I'd come back...but I'd make sure to have a reservation!

It's a large space, but the seating feels awkwardly arranged and surprisingly limited for the size of the room. There's also a side room with plenty of seating that, for some reason, always seems to be closed off. They could easily be serving twice the volume, but choose not to. They also have a liquor license, yet they close at 9:30, even on Fridays and weekends. And speaking of the liquor license, you'd think it was a beer-only spot because there's basically no indication that they make mixed drinks or cocktails. Overall, it just feels like a place with a lot of strange business choices. I'm always disappointed when Maxwell's sounds like the perfect place to go, then I check the time and realize it's 9 p.m. on a Friday, which somehow already feels too late. I guess they know what they're doing hopefully

There was a second room we didn't see because of a private party. Service wasn't great but always polite and with a smile. Drinks were limited (alcoholic and non) and they are out of our first app selection. The pizza made up for what was lacking in ambiance though. I'm not a fan of fried zucchini made their way, but perhaps others would love it. Parking was around the back of the block. We didn't have trouble finding a spot, but it was limited on a seemingly quiet Saturday night downtown.
