Hot and sour soup
Juicke C.

Closing the year with something spicy for lunch. Lulu's offer a nice lunch menu with a variety of choices. My go to lunch here is their Szechuan spicy fried chicken wings with bones. So it was the case. A complimentary bowl of hot and sour soup is provided. Another favorite dish here. The chicken came out hot and crispy. The skin is crispy and meat is juicy. Unfortunate for wings, not enough of a good thing. With each bite, a taste of Szechuan pepper and red chili, nice. Service is friendly and efficient.

We came in around 6:30 pm on a Tuesday. We were the only customers. The food was mediocre. I was quite disappointed. The green onion pancake had absolutely no taste , no flavor. The spicy boiled fish was just okay. The only flavor it had was just "spicy" . The Chongqing chicken wings were very expensive for the small portion size . It also felt like it was missing some ingredients. The beef and tendon was the worst dish of them all. It had no spicy, umami flavor it's supposed to have. We were quickly seated because we were the only customers but she never came back to check on us. She continued to chat with her co-worker the whole time we were eating. Empty plates were taken away only at the end of the meal when we asked for the check. Will definitely not be coming back.

Chef's Special Hot and Sour Soup - excellent

Excellent meal at LuLu's Kitchen ~ Their food is GOOD! Located at the strip mall at Amador Valley x Village Parkway with plenty of parking, the restaurant is clean and seating is comfortable. Upon entering, we were greeted by their friendly staff and proceeded to order a few dishes. Everything tasted excellent and full of balanced flavor and spiciness. Flavors are on point! ;) My favorites: * Hot n Spur soup -- excellent * Fish gluten ball with veggies in clay pot -- simple, mild flavored and tasty! * Stir fry string beans & eggplant -- very good * House special fried chow mein -- eat it while the noodles are crispy! so good! Overall an excellent meal... Thank You and we'll be back soon!

We were fans of Lulu in Concord until it shuttered its doors a few years ago. It's good to find similar food in Dublin. Tofu fish was spicy as always, beautifully presented on its large plate. Pork rib chef special sauce had very unique flavor with small soft ribs superbly fried to golden embedded between green beans. Wish there were some more ribs. The owner/head waitress was distracted: chatting loudly on her cell phone and seemed to have a slightly brusque disposition. Food **** Service ***

We came back again today, just because it's been a while since our last time dining here. Lulu's used to be very busy for lunch, but it's not like that today. Time has definitely changed. There are so many options to eat now in the Trivalley area, but Lulu still have that schezhuan flavors that's we all crave for once in a while. Its unique flavors is hard to compare to other restaurants. Always satisfying that you'll want to keep coming back for more.

Ordered takeout but the portions look a lot smaller than if you were to dine in. My recommendation would be to dine in and take leftovers home to maximize efficiency and cost. Other than that it's tasty Chinese food, not overpowering or greasy from what I see.

Lulu's is an under appreciated gem for Hunan cuisine. The dishes here are well-executed, with authentic flavors, and generously portioned. The comprehensive menu showcases the chef's breath and talents. If Lulu's is close to where I live I would be coming here often.

Beef Stew Noodle Soup ($20 including tax & 20% tip) enough left overs to take home & very yummy

1 word- Flavor They weren't rated that well but the place was busy. Glad I checked it out. Servers were nice & attentive, food came out fast. Portions were HUGE and fairly priced (I have left overs & paid $20 including tax & 20% tip). Ambiance is a little nicer than a hole in the wall but you still kinda get that feel Spicy beef noodle was generous with tender meat and noodles. Broth was flavorful, spicy & garlicky.

i have ever eaten here may be around six years ago. decided to come here again and place is ok, but i think some seats need to be changed with the new ones. staffs and service are just ok. easy to find parking spaces too. for foods: i will say they are just ok. the cauliflowers is over cooked for me and i think if the bacon can be baked until a bit dry, it should taste better. green beans and lambs are just mediocre...

Being able to build your own hot pot is part of the fun. I especially love their bone broth, and the dry mix noodles are so good--full of flavor and incredibly satisfying. The food is consistently delicious. The staff is always so kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even better every time we visit. This is one of our favorite spots to go when the weather is rainy and cold--it's the perfect comfort food. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Seriously 5 stars? It's good for a quick meal and I like it, but a bit crazy for 5, sorry a 3 for…read moreme, not anything bad but as expected. Malatang is a Chinese staple food, it is like pizza, chicken wings or bbq, you have to try to make it bad. The main differentiating between them is ingredients and broth. The main broth (Tomyum) is pretty tasty, I thought it would be thick and heavy but it is more like a soup (I did drink a bit and it was delicious). Ingredients vice it is just what you eat at buffets that has hot pot or malatang section. I found the lamb to be a bit better quality than buffets, fried egg old and stale (the only disappointment), green veggies quite a surprising delight (I usually don't eat that). Pig intestines, beef tendon are well cooked and seasoned, which were also delightful.

To whom it may concern,…read more a soul who delights in rich umami flavors, tasty Szechuan has found a place in my heart. As you make your way to your seat the hostess brings you a small bowl of fried peanuts with hot tea, which is super generous. The menu offers traditional yet caters to the native Hayward resident who doesn't know much about the Szechuan region, I'm that resident . The booths and tables remind me of my childhood traditional Chinese restaurant back in Fresno, ca yet with a modern twist, in my opinion portions are generous as well which is inviting for a family feast...well done tasty Szechuan.

All dishes came out as we hoped/expected with both the chicken and fish providing the nummy sensation that is unique to Szechuan cuisine. We threw in the eggplant order because we wanted some veggies and something that didn't overtly threaten to numb our palettes and were very happy with that as well. Chicken was fried well and not dry at all which was a lovely experience. Fish was also flavorful and enjoyable to eat, although perhaps the least memorable of the dishes. I wouldn't NOT get any of the dishes again and might elevate the chicken as a must get if you're there for the a Szechuan experience. Well probably come back the next time we get a craving for that nummy feeling.

Toad was Monday . We went to Koi Palace in Dublin for lunch …read more It had a lot of tables cause we arrived early like 11:15 am . We were being seated right the way by the nice big window table. I enjoyed the service there . Without asking , they gave us the serving chop stick , a pot of tea ( we requested Iron Buddha tea leaves) and an extra pot of hot water to keep the tea pot filled . We ordered the soup dumplings with fish mew in high soup . It tasted great . Many restaurants don't have this item or they made it not as good . The high soup is tasty and the ingredients had a lot of seafood and shrimp . Fish mew was good size . I wan impressed when we asked for small ceramic bowl to share the food , they gave us two heated bowls . Just like you wanted beer in the club and they gave you an iced mug . To keep the high soup and soup dumplings in high temperatures, it tasted better . We have the following dim sum : Steamed chicken feet in black bean suave with pork ribs 蒸鳳爪排骨 Pan fried shrimp dumplings with chives牛煎韮菜餃 Stairs fried sticky rice with dried shrimp and Chinese sausage , large size . A dinner menu item 生炒糯米飯。大碟 X O sauce and pan fried daikon cake 煎蘿蔔糕伴XO 醬 Stewed beef belly 牛雜 Steamed bean curb skin roll with black mushroom 齋燒鵝 Red bean coconut cake ( dessert ) 5/5 for all dim sum Nicely made and all tasted excellent. I like this Koi Palace better than the one in Milpitas . It has much better customer services . Before the main dinning hall , it has many more rooms attached to the main dinning area. You can reserve rooms for private events or family gathering . You can also make reservations on line or by phone to reserve your table . So you dominates to wait , just walk up to the check in counter and bring seated . I usually make my reservations 3 days in advance to make sure I can get the large table. Each time father dinning , this Koi Palace give you a coupon ( % of your total price of the meal ) and you have 14 days to use it to pay for the next meal here . What a wonderful idea ! Enjoy and hope that you have fun when you come !

Both service and food quality have gone down in recent years. We went for dinner on a Friday…read morenight. The place was only about 1/3 full (should've left with that obvious clue). We ordered oolong tea, which was just a tea bag in a pot. That alone is OK. However, we suspect that the tea bag was reused, as there was no flavor in the tea and the color was way too light. I informed our waiter. They said it was because the pot didn't have enough hot water, so they filled up the pot with hot water. I said wouldn't that further dilute the tea? They said no, just give it some time. There were 3 of us. We ordered 6 dishes. By the time we're almost done, the tea was still of a light yellowish color. I finally asked the manager. He apologized and replaced the tea bag with 2 new ones. The tea finally had some flavor, but we were done with dinner by then. But that's not the most disappointing thing. One of the dishes we ordered was a pepper-n-salt fish. This is a common dish. It wasn't on the menu but based on previous dining experience at this very restaurant, we knew they could make it. It came with 6 bite-sized fillet, reasonably tasty. The surprise came when we got the bill. They charged us $42 for the dish. Most dishes are $28 or less unless it's fresh seafood (i.e., taken from their live seafood tanks). I probably should've said something but decided it wasn't worth it. Oh, they charged an 18% gratuity and asked for "additional tips" on the bill. I've eaten here plenty of times and they never charged upfront gratuity for a 3-person table. Must be a recent change. That by itself is OK IMO, as long as it is clearly stated in the menu. But it's not. I normally give 20%. But this time I put a line through the "additional tips" line.
