Just had a great time at Lulu's Waikiki. Great location right off the beach and caught an amazing sunset. Food was great (had a burger) and had one of the best bartenders serving me. Bryan was charming, down to earth, and very personable... not to mention made some terrific drinks that made the experience even better. Will definitely be back on my next visit and will hopefully get Bryan as my bartender again as he really made the experience a memorable one. read more

Our first stop on vacation! I thought this place was going to be like every other beach front restaurant here in Oahu...over priced so-so food...I was wrong! I had a party of 9 which was myself and all my kids (16-22)/grand daughter. We all ordered different things...some breakfast, some lunch, some appetizers. Everything was AMAZING!! The fish and chips was hands down my favorite. Huge chunks of fish and perfectly done batter. We all enjoyed or food and the portions were big! Great service with friendly staff (both at lunch and late night dinner). Food was fresh, delicious and fairly priced. For dinner, we ordered the coconut shrimp, fish tacos, and the grilled chicken kid's meal. Plates were large enough to share. My kid loves fried food, but he gobbled up the grilled chicken - had a subtle hint of citrus. Highly recommend. For lunch, we ordered the pulled pork sandwich which comes with fries and the chicken tenders with fries. Good Lord the sandwich was delectable and flavorful. Recently visited with my family including my husband who is blind and works with a service animal. We had been seated and were in to our second round of drinks for breakfast since the restaurant opened. At this point, my blind husband was handed a copy of the dog policy and asked to read it by the teen/20's something hostess. I explained that he can't read print, read it myself and asked to speak to her manager to make a suggestion for training. The manager came over, but didn't listen to what I was saying, and was very combative. I asked for the General Managers name, and he said "let me go get them". I started to share the issue with her. She cut me off and said that my attitude had made me unwelcome at her restaurant. She shooed us with her hands. Since our $200 worth of breakfast hadn't been served yet, we left. Lulu's was the first spot we were taken after landing on Oahu. Location & views are hard to beat. I mean looking out over Waikiki Beach is something special. We started with the Beachboy Nachos & Hang Ten-Ders. Both were delicious. For entrees we went for the Spicy Jalapeño Burger & Kalua Pig BBQ Burger. Both were great. We always come to Lulu's everytime we vacation in O'ahu. Staff is wonderful, and the food is so good! Except this past vacation we got there right when you changed the menu and took the calamari off. It's been years since I was last here. Same vibe and chill factor. Stopped off for breakfast after trying to find someplace that was suitable and was dine without the hour long wait. Checking in was easy, the usual Id check and QR code check. There was a good amount of tables inside but majority was all seated along the open window. Clearly for the view of the beach and Blvd. Which we did as well. Our waitress, Daijah was amazing. She was just a ball of sunshine. She was busy but still was cheerful and welcoming. Checking in all the time to make sure if anything was needed. Seeing how we enjoyed our meal. Her attitude and positive spirit is what we need more of. Not just her but all the other staff that on board, everyone was amazing. The food was good but the view made it all come together. Who doesn't love a good meal with a view. Sitting there with our mimosas before the meal arrived and people watching. What more for one want. The island vibe to the max feel. Oh, the stuffed French toast was amazing by the way. The music is too loud. Unable to communicate with the server. There wasn't any hostess at the Kapahulu entrance. If you have 2 entrances, there needs to be staff welcoming them not expecting guests to search. read more

Mai Tai's were off the chain, my girlfriend had 3 of them the first day and we had returned a few more time as after that. Loco Moco was the best with Kalua Pig and the Hamburger patty. Atmosphere was great, night time view was nice. Definitely a spot to not to miss. Will return again no doubt read more

I visited 14 years ago. I was on my own on some random weekday mid-morning while my better half was at a conference. (BTW, more conferences in Waikiki, please!). I had noticed Lulu's up on the 2nd floor at the edge of the strip and decided to wander on in. They were playing jazz over the loudspeakers. I got a seat at the window bar overlooking Waikiki. I have a distinct moment seared into my brain, one of those perfect moments you keep tucked away to revisit every now and then. It's like 11AM. I'm picking away at a truly fantastic mess of loco moco and some local crisp lager, gazing out at the beach. Stan Getz's Desafinado, off "Jazz Samba" comes on. Utter perfection. So with a mixture of excitement and trepidation, I hauled the rest of my family up there on our trip to the islands in August 2024. They didn't play Desafinado, but everything else was incredible. It's possible that the food was even better this time around? It'll probably be another 10 years, but I hope to make it back. read more

This is my mom and I's favorite spot in waikiki. The food is absolutely to die for and the atmosphere is so fun and tropical overviewing the ocean. We loved our waiter Justin he was so awesome and friendly and he had great recommendations for drinks. Super nice guy and very attentive. After spending the morning running errands, we decided to pop into Lulu's for a quick midday beverage. In case you were curious, they are currently operating under the state Covid-19 mandate to verify proof of vaccination/negative Covid test. The tourist couple in line before us seemed fully aware of the rules, but requested an exemption anyway. The host politely apologized for the inconvenience, repeated the policy, and the couple begrudgingly left. Lulu's has a dive bar feel. There was a decent view of the beach from the stools along the right side of the restaurant. The menu is accessible via QR code, and they did have a variety of cocktails, beers, and bar food. We just had a Mai Tai, a tasty mix of Koloa rum and tropical juices. Overall a casual place to grab a drink if you're on the zoo side of Waikiki. read more

I was not the biggest fan of my dining experience at Lulu's. Primarily a result of the food. The menu stated the chips were "house-made" fresh corn tortilla chips. However, the chips did not appear to be house made at all. They were not hot or even warm. The chips had a stale-like quality, and were definitely not House-made. The salsa and guac also appeared to be store bought. My meal was underwhelming. The breakfast bursting. The pork and egg combination wasn't horrible but it lacked flavor. Also the proportion of egg to pork was quite off. A little more attention to locking in flavors and adding ingredients that make the dishes shine would've helped. My friends ordered the wings and they looked pretty disgusting. Barely fried, and almost rubbery. I recognize this place is probably best for drinks and watching the game on their TV's or enjoying the view of the beach. But my 2 rating reflects the poor food quality that I think everyone should be aware of before dining here. read more

THIS PLACE WAS SO GOOD!!!! I LOVEEEEE the food they served to my family and I today!!! I got the mochi pancakes and HOLY SMOKES! Those pancakes were so good!! The chocolate chips gave it that extra pizzazz of flavor! The coconut whipped cream tasted phenomenal!!! We also got the veggie omelet and it was so tasty! The egg was perfectly cooked and tasted fresh! The vegetables were packed perfectly inside the omelet. It was so incredibly delicious. We had also gotten the burrito with the Kalua pork in it and may I say, That was the best burrito I've had all my trip! Yes it was a little oily but the egg, meat and potato's were quite a selection! It was so good! You also got to make your own iced coffee! You would just order your syrup and what type of milk you wanted and they brought it to you!! This place is right at the first intersection at the end of Waikiki beach strip where all the main strip restaurants start lining up. We ended up when everywhere else the wait lines for lunch were 2 hr long. Surprise surprise! Usually how underrated some places are this is definitely a must try place. We OD'd on awesome spicy tune and ahi poke. Parents loved the daiquiri so much they ordered twice! We tried all: Blue Hawaii , lava flow and daiquiri and mai tai along with beer. All drinks were super yummy! The most I liked about this place is how airy it is with this unique seats around he is open patio on overlooking the Waikiki beach. PS.
