When you're on vacation, everything can seem just a little more special and spectacular. I mean who wouldn't want to sit at a counter with the beach across the street and people watch? That being said, my Lulu's experiences have been a little underwhelming. I have to admit that the sticky countertop may have tainted my experience up front but I still ate up most of the kalua pork nachos - a huge serving! But the steak, salad, and all the other stuff was just okay. Come for drinks and I'm sure everything is fabulous! Parking at the Zoo for a just a few bucks an hour is always the best and a short walk to Lulu's. BUT! The parking lot now closes between midnight and 5am now so be sure to move your car before then! read more

This place is close to the beach and was one of the few places open for lunch past 2 pm during the week. My wagyu patty was tough and my sister's guava French toast didn't really taste like guava. The worst part was that my friend's blueberry mochi pancakes were undercooked, probably because they didn't defrost the blueberries before cooking the pancakes. The batter around the blueberries was raw and she didn't eat 1/3 of her food. This place is a decent option if you are looking for something laste minute but skip the pancakes! read more

Solid 3 star experience last night....gonna give some extra credit for #1 our waitress Ana and #2 it was Valentines Day and they were slammed and for being so busy everyone was hustling. Once seated it was a little wait but Ana really kicked it in gear and got us our drinks very quick and we ordered some food. We started off with the buffalo cauliflower, and for dinner shared a few things....linguine and clams, fish tacos and fish and chips. To start the buffalo cauliflower was not very good normally used to larger florets and this was not the case. Plus these were either over cooked or under and didn't really enjoy them at all...the best dish was the tacos while very plain and over cooked fish they were the star. The linguine and clams was not very appetizing and really lacked simple seasoning and the clams were very over cooked. Then the fish and chips probably the most disappointing and same as above with lack of seasoning and flavor, but what was so dissatisfying was how over breaded the fish was and how overcooked while overpriced...the fries as well tasted like they had been sitting around. Now the atmosphere I would give a 5 star loves looking over downtown Waikiki and doing some people watching...the drinks were good and strong which I like...so overall staff was awesome and so was the scenery but the food needs some work. read more

Really love this little place. Location can't be beat, beautiful elevated view of the ocean. My party of four had dinner there, fish and chips, steak tacos, chicken sandwich and a cheeseburger. Everyone enjoyed their food. Table next to us had nachos and they looked delicious! Had breakfast there yesterday, husband had the fruit bowl and it was all fresh fruit served in a pineapple. Same price as other fruit bowls nearby but this was the best quality and bang for the buck. I had the guava French toast with coconut cream and it was really good! Next time I'll try the eggs Benny and fried potatoes. No pics because we were starving both times and dig right in and sometimes I don't carry my phone while on vacation! Service was very friendly. Loved Lulu's Waikiki. It had one of the best hamburgers I've ever had. The Mai Tai's were excellent. It's a little pricey but considering the view, it's worth it. We stayed at the at the Park Shore Waikiki hotel which is right next door with its own entrance to the restaurant. read more

We came here for breakfast on the recommendation of my co-worker, and I'm glad we did, because we had an amazing morning! I've been to Lulu's in the past for happy hour and the bar scene, but it was lovely to come here for breakfast before work. We arrived bright and early at 7a, right when they opened and were the first customers. Because of that, we had pick of the litter of where to sit. Of course we chose the counter with front row views to the ocean and Kapi'olani Park. We were greeted right away by a cheerful hostess who took us to our seat. Our server came over shortly thereafter to give us menus. I ordered a decaf coffee and my husband ordered a "mocktail." I then ordered the Omelet with bacon and cheese, potatoes and wheat toast. My husband had the bacon and eggs with the English muffin, and we shared the regular French toast. The food came out rather quickly and was good quality! The portions were big and the French toast was especially yummy. We enjoyed watching beach combers, morning exercisers and a few surfers from our spot in the restaurant. The service was excellent. Our server was prompt and exceptionally friendly. She made it a good morning to choose Lulu's! Thank you for a lovely morning, Lulu's! By far one of the better restaurants in the Waikiki beach area. After dining at some of the top spots that many have raved about on Yelp, LuLu's stands out. The others have been overhyped and overrated. I've come to the conclusion if it's cheap $ and labeled as authentic, people will flock to it. When it comes to LuLu's I suggest the Mahi Mahi battered tacos with extra aioli sauce and the Kaula pork bbq sandwich on taro bun. Ask for the bun to be toasted. read more

Came here with my boyfriend on Monday for industry! Lulu's is a solid staple in Waikiki. The location and view are definitely hard to beat. This place is for more of a casual, chill vibe and I believe they have a club setting during the nights. It is right on the edge of Waikiki so expect tourists. My boyfriend and I ordered the aloha roll and shrimp scampi pasta (but subbed with chicken instead). The food was great, only knocking a star due to finding a hair, but the server was very apologetic and nice about it, and quick to offer an alternative. We ended up getting fish tacos which was good and came with chips and salsa. Always a good time at Lulu's. read more
