Stopped by to try their biscuits and gravy, I'm always on the hunt for the best. Lumberjack cafe did not disappoint. The biscuits were fresh and light, and the gravy was flavorful. It's more of a 3 1/2. The French toast is pretty good and the pancakes are huge but the potatoes are bland with zero seasoning. The biscuits are undercooked and doughy, the gravy smothered over it is really good though but they have to get that biscuit fixed as it's not edible in my opinion. The food here was really good. The eggs benedict was perfect and the hollandaise sauce delicious. My mimosa was tasty and a generous portion. I really don't like when food is served at different times to different people at the table, however I wanted my son and his Dad to eat while their food was hot. I had to ask for syrup and I had to ask for my mimosa after I got my food. I had to ask for ketchup. If you are going to serve people at the table, the condiments should be served as well. My drink should have been brought with the other drinks. The place wasn't that busy, yet servers don't seem focused on the job. They did seem to know regulars and were friendly enough, but it's all in the details. Again, food is good and restaurant was neat and clean. If I could give a negative rating, I would. My wife and I went for breakfast. I ordered a breakfast burrito with chili. The waitress waited until my wife's meal was ready, and then informed me that they were out of chili. Really? Couldn't let me know before my wife's meal was ready? They were quick to ask, "pick up/online order?" Then look upset, roll their eyes when we said dine-in. I had more questions to ask like, "what's the wait time?" "Can we have a menu?" But they kept walking away after telling me that they don't know how long the wait is. No wait list. They just told us to wait behind the green chairs, outside! Freezing cold! Then my friend decided to try and get a different answer. They told her it might be an hour and we might not be seated next to each other. So we decided to try take-out. Called, no answer. Looked for online ordering, none. WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE AT BROADWAY CAFE! Called them after giving up on Lumberjack. We asked if they had dine-in options and the staff answered honestly yet, politely. No indoor dining. That convinced us that it was worth a shot. Came in, no wait time, heaters outside were turned on, food came out quickly, server was kind and generous. Nothing beats a solid Sunday breakfast! My friends and I were extremely hungry and decided to try this little breakfast place. We were not disappointed! As has been said already this is a cozy, mom's kitchen type spot. We came for breakfast and it was good. I ordered the two egg breakfast and it is on par with most sold breakfast places. Liked the lumberjack potatoes. My better half enjoyed the waffle breakfast which he also enjoyed. Nice family run breakfast and lunch restaurant. Not cheap but have good portions to justify price. Very friendly service and good atmosphere overall. There was a line outside waiting for seating when we arrived but it moved fairly quickly so don't be scared off just know that others like the food as well. The two girls working today were so sweet! The place was busy and they were clearly short staffed but regardless the food and drinks were amazing! Not sure if it's always like this but if it is I wouldn't recommend going here unless you have some time to kill. I got the Huevos Rancheros with the green sauce and hash browns instead of beans and rice and it was AMAZING!!!!! I also got a michelada and it was super good too! We visited last Wednesday 5/18 at about 10am, the food was good and the woman who helped us was nice, but we were overcharged $10 by a male who brought us our check, presumably because we were tourists it seemed? I thought it was an honest accident so I didn't bring it up as I was ready to leave and instead corrected the total on the receipt to the correct total with tip which should have been $33, but I was instead charged $43 which is illegal as I did not authorize that charge. I don't have the time to call and try to have it corrected so figured I would just post a warning to others. (We ordered 2 eggs ($4.95), sourdough toast ($3.99), corn beef hash ($12.55), and a soda ($2.90) so total should have been $24.39 plus tax it was $26 and change, I tipped $6+ so it should have been $33 exactly.) If the business contacts me and refunds the $10 I'll update my review but as of now it seems I was scammed. read more

First of all, I came with my family because of the amazing reviews. We got seated, it was kind of busy so we didnt trip;That we got two drink orders in before our food order. On the side note for those drinks, we had to waive them down. Then we finally got our food and we sat there with no untinsal. We had to waive them again. Then he state did I forget anything. There is no notes any where about maditory gradituity, not on menu, not on Yelp, or near cashier. They gave themselfs 23$. The service was a hot mess. It was nothing like what was Yelper. I told him if he can split the check and he said only 2 receipts per table; they did not tell us, and its no where to be posted. So then I said fine one receipt, but can you lower the tip because your service was a hot mess. He shrugged and said why. And I told him why and he said every restraunt does that. We said no they dont and if they did they would acknowledge you and say sorry. We gave in because, they didnt look like they where even going to say sorry. I'm a person that has work in the customer service field I know what the people need to know and have the rights to know. gratuity is legal. ... This being said, state laws may differ on if this charge is compulsory. I was not expecting the chilaquiles to be that tasteful! Their homemade green sauce paired with a touch of diced onions and radish was just perfection. My boyfriend had their eggs benedict which he absolutely loved and devoured. Staff is friendly and welcoming, felt like I was eating breakfast at an aunts house.
