My wife and I have been dining here for breakfast for over 5 years now. The past two times were less than satisfying. The omelet was greasy and discolored and the waitress forgot to bring us the rest of our order. We received the greasy omlett a side of potatoes and old Advocado that was brown which we did not eat. Our waitress was to busy taking a seat and chatting up other customers to know that we were missing our milk, toast waffles and a side of ice. I was so that we will never return. I LOVE THE SHAKES....oh AND the garlic fries!!! I also like how this diner is very involved in the community. I have been to 2 fundraisers where the diner contributed all or a very large percentage of the profits to different needs like a soccer team or a little's girl transplant. Most important, I think Lumpy's is a fun diner to take the family. The food is good. I normally stay with the burgers. I have not tried the hot dogs or the breakfast, which is something I would like to do soon. The service is quick and upbeat. We came here because of all the good reviews, but I'm kind of disappointed. We got the "gold digger" appetizer which is supposed to be onion rings, fries, and curly fries with seasoning, chili, cheese, and sour cream. The flavor was great at first, but once you eat the 4-5 onion rings and handful of curly fries, you realize you just paid $13 for a giant plate of 90% plain old chili cheese fries. When I asked for a side of ranch, they didn't mention they charge for that, too. Not even a free refil on juice. The churro waffles were really good but also expensive. And lastly, a half order of biscuits and gravy for $5.50, they tasted good, but I could have gotten the same thing at dennys for only $4 and it would have come with eggs and hash browns. All in all, the food tasted good but was in no way worth the over $40 we spent. Most likely would not return. read more

So I have only been here for breakfast.I have recently moved to the Brentwood area and was looking for a place with a breakfast burrito. Been eating around and finally found this place. The place is great, and even though it looks tiny from the outside there is plenty of seating inside.They do stay busy, every time I have entered this place it has been at least half full. Really nice looking inside,with great memorabilia and plenty of televisions. The food here is arguably best in area (for breakfast).The burrito is def best in area. Have tried some of the other foods as well and it was great.They are one of the few places that I ever been to that offer wheat pancakes and waffles as well. I try to come as much as I can for breakfast. Plenty of parking and great servers. Have not had any problem with customer service and they're very attentive. read more

My boyfriend have never eaten at Lumpy's before but this was my second time here. I love the restaurant's decor. I ordered the biscuit and gravy, two scrambled eggs & sausages. I never had this entree before but it sounded good. When the food arrived it looked even better. And when I took a bite, it was extremely delicious! I came here for a late breakfast with my mom. Right when we walked in, we were told to pick whatever seat we wanted. Not long after we sat down, someone took our drink order. I LOVED being greeted and provided my drink so fast. You can tell that all of the servers work together to help their guests. They seemed to be able to efficiently handle so many people at once...impressive! Our server was very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed for my meal. Their menu has so many options to choose from, it was tough to make a decision. My mom ordered the chicken and waffles while I ordered the chicken fried steak. OMFG!! AAAAAAmazing! Came in for brunch on a saturday, 10 min wait..not bad! The menu has soo many delicious options, looking around at all the tables and viewing the food and reading off the menu..didnt know what to choose! So I remembered advice given to me by a culinary teacher, if you want to know how excellent a restaraunt is, choose something that restaraunts widely offer. Then you can taste the difference and realize where is stands. Done! We chose the eggs benedict with country potatos and lumpys kitchen sink omelette with hashbrowns and sourdough toast. The benedict was one of the best I have ever had. The hollandaise was creamy and not overpowering, eggs poached perfectly, and the english muffin was toasted and buttered in heaven! Omelette was STUFFED! Bacon, sauasage, ham, hot links, bell peppers, onions and mushrooms. We opted to add cheddar cheese. Yummooo. We killed our plates. For dessert we created our own milkshake: peanut butter, bananas, and chocolate. Ice cold heaven. We asked the server what kind of ice cream is used..she had no clue, actually none of the servers had a clue..so that was a bit of a shame. But it was delicious. We also had funnel fries which comes with syrup, we didnt want the syrup so the server brought us strawberry frosting!!!! Funnel fries were delish, warm, a bit crispy on the outside, nice and soft in the middle. Sprinkled with powder sugar. I definitely enjoyed every bite I had. I have to redo this review. They contacted me and apologized for our experience we have been back several times since that experience and could not have been happier. Food is still amazing they did change the Fricks which I'm still on the fence whether I'm a fan but the punisher burrito is my go to never had a bad meal since. Lumpy's Diner is just plain fun, and the food is very good. And the service was excellent. The fact that we had my beautiful and delightful granddaughter with us may explain all the attention we got from the staff, but we had a great time. I had never heard of a chicken enchilada omelette before, but I just had to try it. It was huge, as well as being packed with flavor. And it was topped with mounds of guacamole and sour cream. We were here for a golf tournament and has an early tee time. Searching on chicken and waffles resulted in Omar's but it was opened too late. We were bummed and decided to come here. On arrival, there are 3 tables for outdoor seating. The hostess suggested sitting closer to the heater, which she would turn on for us. When we ordered one plate for the two of us to share, they brought extra plates and made sure we were comfortable. We also noticed they seem to know their customers and order. They brought out one gentleman his Arnold Palmer double serving since they know that's his usual. The chicken and waffle itself was delicious. The chicken is seasoned well and was nice and crispy. The waffle was light and fluffy. I typically don't like waffles but finished this one in five minutes. We are definitely coming again to try their other dishes. Just ordered on-line for pick-up, gave special instructions for extra extra crisp hash browns and what was received was lightly browned and very soggy hash browns. Bacon was under cooked as well. Defiantly worth your buck, the quality is amazing and the service is great. I love dinners that offer breakfast and lunch all day long. Lumpy's diners is delicious ! If you are looking for a good hearty breakfast you must go to Lumpy's we have been there to eat before Covid and we have also ordered for pick up during covid and every time the food has been great. My wife loves their Benedict's and I love the traditional breakfast plates with meats and pancakes. Today I wanted to try something a little different. Now I am not one to usually try Benedict's but one caught my eye. The Rapture! it's traditional Benedict but instead of ham it had a delicious and spicy hot link cooked perfectly on top. It had the perfect amount of heat and was super filling. Definitely recommend, my wife also tried a new one for her the Corned Beef Benedict and that was also amazing! The meat was cooked perfectly and was super tender and packed with flavor. They have a great menu and I know we will be back to eat some more delicious food !
