It was a beautiful day to have lunch at Luna Blu on the patio. The sun was out and the perfect breeze to sip on chilled Sauvignon Blanc. Perfect afternoon escape. We started off with the squid ink seafood pasta and the marinara meatballs. The pasta was a little too textured for me. I like my pasta a little soft but still tasty! The seafood was fresh! The meatballs were made of filet mignon steak. The service was quick and friendly. The perfect afternoon with good food. It's one of those places that makes you want to linger a little longer. Until next time!

Amazing views! Cozy outside dining with ample shade and heat if needed. The famous burger was cooked perfectly. The crab bisque very nice. Overall, all the food was good especially the tiramisu. Service was outstanding. Luna Blu was on my "to do" list for a while and it is definitely worth the visit. Highly recommend brunch given the sun angle in the patio area.

My friends and I came to Tiburon to bask in the unexpected pristine weather this Sunday. And, initially, my party set our sights on Malibu Farm, the health-conscious transplant from its SoCal namesake city. But with a one-hour wait at peak lunch hour, we pivoted and wound up at Luna Blu on a whim which was a fortunate detour as it turns out. The restaurant, perched by the waterfront, had a spread of empty tables so we had our pick of the litter. Ultimately, we settled into an outdoor spot decked out with ocean views, soft blankets, and overhead heaters. The menu though, like the Tiburon tide, ebbs on the pricier end with their salads and sandwiches cresting the $20 mark. I'm a sucker for a beet salad, so I ordered the Barbabietole, an aptly named dish (Barbabietola translates to beet I think?) featuring thick ruby-red beet slices layered with hazelnuts and an generous, indulgent amount of goat cheese. Would I eagerly fork over $21 for it again? Prob not, but in an era where affordable brunch becomes more and more elusive (thanks Trump tariffs!), I can't say I'm shocked. Our server was also warm and charming. And, his accent paired with the gentle sway of yachts in the harbor almost lent an Amalfi-esque quality. Is it wrong to say an Amalfi from Temu?

Wow the views are amazing! You really are on the water, such a romantic place for dinner. The service was attentive, kind and friendly. The food was delicious. Both of our pasta's were flavorful and cooked perfectly. The burrata with truffle was amazingly rich. I would definitely come back.

Came here for an early dinner over the weekend. The weather was great. We were met at the door by a very serious woman, who gave us a table outside. The view was absolutely gorgeous. We waited a bit and met out waiter. He was friendlier and took our drink and food orders. The food was absolutely delicious. We are all vegetarian and one pescatarian and there were many options for us. We had the caponata, tomato soup, eggplant parm, crab pasta.

Date of Visit: 8/24/2024 We visited the Italian restaurant Luna Blu located on Main Street in Tiburon last Saturday afternoon. The weather was very nice on the day, not windy and the temperature was warm and comfortable. Luna Blu was established in 2013, the couple owner Renzo and Crystal Azzarello was impressed by the romantic atmosphere in Tiburon and decided to open this nice restaurant by the shore. The name Luna Blu means blue moon in Italian, which relates to their honeymoon and also something special and rare. Triple Espresso Martini $15 I got the espresso martini. Love the taste and the creamy texture of this cocktail. Sunset in Tiburon $15 Husband got the sunset in Tiburon. This cocktail was made with 2 different rums, mixed with pineapple juice, orange juice, and grenadine and layered into a beautiful sunset. Polipo Alla Griglia $20 We got the grilled octopus as the appetizer. The octopus tentacle was chewy and soft. On the side it was bell pepper sauce and lime aioli. Linguine Alle Vongole $31 I got the linguine pasta with fresh manila clams and cherry tomatoes. The linguine was tasty and got a touch of chili flakes. Risotto Prosciutto E Gamberi $34 Husband got the Parmesan Cheese risotto with tiger prawns and wrapped in Prosciutto Di Parma. Chocolate Martini $15 We got the chocolate martini to pair with our dessert. Mixed with chocolate vodka and Dorda Double chocolate liqueur, and very rich and creamy with chocolate rimmed glass. Mocha Tiramisu $12 One of my favorite desserts is the tiramisu. The mocha tiramisu was homemade with ladyfingers soaked in espresso, and layered with mascarpone and chocolate mousse. The texture was a little wet, but love the mix of alcohol in it.

We had a romantic Valentine's Day outside under the stars and a warm heater. The menu was a special Valentine's Day menu with new dishes we haven't had before. I had the beet pasta with crab in a champagne sauce. OMG it was Phenomenal!! I'm not a beet person but damn this dish completely changed my mind! My hubby had the tortellini with beef - YUM! It just melts in your mouth. The night was perfect with a nice chill. I loved sitting outside under the stars and eating Chef Renzo's amazing food. It was a PERFECT NIGHT!!

My husband and I first came here to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary, and we had an amazing time. We returned today to celebrate Valentine's Day a couple of days late. We were seated at a lovely table by the water, enjoying a beautiful view! Our waiter was such a nice guy; I think his name was Elvin (I hope I'm spelling it correctly). The gentleman who cleared our dirty dishes was William, and he was very nice as well. Our food was delicious, and we genuinely had a great time. As we were saying goodbye, the lovely hostess gave us a bag with two delicious chocolate trifles. We will definitely be back for our next occasion. I love nice people and a great ambiance!

In Tiburon, where street parking doesn't exist, this alone deserves a star. The valet crew was friendly and even recommended dishes. We had a reservation but still waited about 20 minutes to be seated. It's Valentine's Day, so I get it, though it did cost us the sunset we'd timed our reservation around. We didn't get our requested window seat either, but to be fair, you can see the water from pretty much anywhere in the restaurant, and the views are genuinely beautiful. We grabbed drinks at the bar while we waited. Bartender was quick and personable even in the rush. The Mad Men Old Fashioned and Bay Side Bellini were both perfectly fine. Food was good, not great. The jumbo shrimp appetizer was the standout: fresh, big, well prepared. The crumble cheesecake was solid too. The Kurobuta Tomahawk pork chop was a bit dry and could have used a sauce to go along with it. My Chicken Milanese had nice texture but leaned a little heavy on the vinaigrette. Mashed potatoes on both plates were good. Prices are above average but not unreasonable for waterfront dining. Staff was friendly and professional (tuxedos and everything), and the food came out faster than I expected for how busy it was. The waiter seemed a touch stretched thin, but that's a Valentine's Day problem, not a service problem. Jazz music, big windows, candlelit waterfront vibes: the ambiance delivers. One note: the restroom could use some attention. It was not in great shape when we visited.

You would think this establishment that has been around for decades should have it down to a science especially with the first impression, wrong! We came here to celebrate our milestone Anniversary and we were hoping to be "wowed" since it was our first time. We ordered the Grilled Ribeye Steak, Kurobata Tomahawk Pork Chop and Olive Oil Crispy Roasted Vegetables and Potatoes. We'll start with the Ribeye...was it even a Ribeye? It had no marbling and was not a thick cut, not even tender and had very little flavor. Kurobata Tomahawk Pork Chop...although great in presentation, and somewhat flavorful, it was mostly dry and overcooked. Don't bother with the side of the Olive Oil Crispy Roasted Vegetables and Potatoes, they were terrible and far from crispy, more like limp vegetables from the end of the day that needed to be discarded. Since it was our milestone Anniversary and there was a mention of it on the reservation, there was zero acknowledgement of it when it came time for dessert. That was a bit disappointing when it came to attention to detail. The positive in my review was that the service was satisfactory and from where we were seated the views of San Francisco Bay were spectacular! I know this is a harsh review but it's important to know for the price point, it does not live up to the quality you would expect!

While a few of the dishes we had heard about were gone from the menu (Mina specialties) they had a solid listing of staples and I understand they're working on formally relaunching the restaurant with a bunch of new dishes. The vibe is great (5Star) - good seating with each table having something fun to look at, be it the bar or the ocean, and the music was groovy for lack of a better word. Food was 4 stars but the steak, tipped me back into 5 star category. We had the spicy tuna roll which appeased our sushi desire, the Caesar salad for some greens, and the Delmonico Ribeye with carrots. We had a productive conversation about what service should be and can be. And once they get the team more settled, I'll come back and see how the experience changes. A solo diner I sat at a table by the door. It was fine. The view is beautiful. And I was excited to have a menu with more than a salad as the gluten free option. I ordered from the $50 2 course prix fix menu. After I was sat, the waiter missed my glass pouring the water and poured it on the table. He was adjusting a chair for my handbag which I appreciated, but failed to see or clean the puddle on my table where my plate was to go. After ordering coffee, the waitress brought it out in a cup cracked from rim to base. And set it down with no mind or notice. I had to tell her it was broken and requested a cup that wasn't broken. My parfait arrived, it looked beautiful. Hurriedly setting it down, turning his back to me and quickly assisting another table the waiter failed to notice I didn't have a spoon to eat my food with. Expecting steak as my next course I'm not eating a parfait with a fork and knife. Looking around I saw a cluster of three servers talking in a corner. My first server no where in sight. So I got up and walked inside to request a spoon so I could begin eating. The manager came out and spoke with me, and said he would address the service. Unfortunately the damage has been done. This is my first time visiting Tiburon, and I passed on recommendations to go to Sam's and Malibu Farm to come here. Deeply regretting that decision. As a solo diner I find we can be treated as after thoughts to a server. What they should consider is we have a voice, spending power, and in my case a love of dining out.

This is definitely on the more expensive side, but for a special lunch or a first-time visit, we felt it was worth it. The quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the location made for a memorable experience. The only service issue we experienced was at the beginning of our meal. It took approximately 15-20 minutes before we received water, and guest ( they knew pretty well ) arrived after us appeared to be served immediately by 3 different servants with water and wine. We felt a bit overlooked and unwelcomed during that time. However, I do want to give credit to our waiter, who recognized the delay and apologized, which we appreciated. One additional surprise was being charged $2 for hot water with lemon. As someone who does not drink iced water, I often order hot water with lemon and have never been charged for it before. On a lunch bill approaching $150, that charge felt unnecessary and a little unwelcoming. It certainly wasn't about the $2 itself, but rather the principle of it. That said, the food and overall experience were excellent. The first three meals arrived, then about ten minutes later three more plates showed up, except some of those orders were wrong. Another ten minutes after that, the child at our table finally got her chicken nuggets. By then everyone else was either finished eating or had food getting cold while waiting. The food itself didn't make up for the wait. Several dishes were bland and under-seasoned. The avocado toast came on bread that was barely toasted at all. To make matters worse, the scrambled egg add-on for the avocado toast cost $9 and turned out to be a single scrambled egg. That's hard to justify anywhere, especially at breakfast. The final bill for seven people was around $300, which would be easier to accept if the food and service were exceptional. Instead, it was overpriced, underwhelming, and incredibly slow. Unfortunately, there was nothing about this experience that would make me want to come back.

The seafood pasta cheapest out on seafood and the carpaccio was alright. I also brought my dog and they were very rude about the whole experience. I had asked for a bowl or a container for my dog and the waiter looked hesitant and annoyed. My dog was also lying down and one of the servers said to move her because she was in the way. I did but just the approach was very off putting. I If you allow dogs in your establishment at least do not be rude to your customers about it. Also during check out the server kept looking at our screen for tip. Honestly the best thing was bread and butter lmao.
