The issue was that the pizzas were super crispy and chewy that your jaw starts hurting to the point that you get kind of sore. However, I think it's totally a preference thing. There was also a wait of 25 min for your pizza since it was really busy. Aside from that, the service was excellent. Our server took really good care of us. Also, even though this was outdoor seating only, this spot was beautiful. They have lemon vines around and lots of great lighting inside. We'll definitely want to be back but probably when the hype of this place dies down a bit.

I'm thankful that despite the governmental policies that hurt small businesses, we can enjoy a local restaurant like the Luna Grill, and have a nice experience eating out. My husband and I really like the Luna Grill in Dana Point. We like to sit outside on the covered patio. The food is so delicious. Our recent favorites are the apple walnut salad, with flat cut chicken kabob, a la cart gyro meat, and bonfire shrimp kabobs. The tangy pomegranate salad dressing, walnuts, dried cranberries and gorgonzola cheese are so tasty and compliment the juicy hot chicken. I'm hooked on the bonfire shrimp. German started off by telling us that kids eat free that night and took our sons order first...that was refreshing! After taking the rest of our orders he cheerfully offered to get a high chair and helped us to a table...another win for us. But I had to take off 1 star for our food and about half a star for pricing. We got the loaded fries with gyro meat and chipotle sauce. Kebab Craft made a very common mistake for loaded fries or nachos: no layering. The toppings were exclusively on the top of the fries and there wasn't enough toppings to layer it yourself. This meant that our initial bites were DELICIOUS but the second half was not so great. It also seemed wayyyy too salty. For hours after eating, I was only left with the flavor of the seasoning salt. And the fries were only ok. They were thin so you couldn't get that crunch and then soft on the inside because they were crunchy all the way through. The meat (not enough of it) and the sauce were good. When it comes to pricing, the loaded fries were $15 and the portion size made it worth it. They filled the entire container. But the pricing of the drinks was a bit much. It was $5 and I think it should have been $4-4.25 at the most. Overall, I'd eat there again if I was in the mood for Mediterranean at River Street. But it's not something I'll be going out of my way for.
