Stopped into Luna Grill for lunch and everything went smooth and quick. Jazmin took our order with intention--fast but never rushed. We grabbed a table outside (yes, Southern California gets chilly... and today it even rained!) and Raul immediately turned on the patio heater for us. Came into Luna Grill today for lunch. Their chicken kabobs are always a hit. Being 7 months pregnant sometimes food doesn't come out the way you expect it but not with Luna Grill. The chicken kabobs and rice never disappoint. Team member Raul was also very nice and attentive, came over and made sure we had everything we needed while eating. I got the flat cut chicken plate and it was so good. The chicken was juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned with a great grilled flavor. Everything tasted high quality and made fresh. My daughter had a kids meal and she loved it, which made the visit even better. Service was also great. Raul helped us and he was very attentive and helpful the whole time. Stumbled into this place on accident... on our way home from a convention. They have the nicest staff and the food... is absolutely amazing! It reminds me of a greek chipotle but way better. Not even on that level. I wish we had one in Bakersfield. It is so clean and simple, and they really stand behind crafted with care. I love the fact that they had options for dairy free (because I have a milk allergy). I ordered 2 chicken kabobs with rice and salad (so delish) and my hubby ordered the shrimp and ground beef kabob with rice and hummus. It tasted exactly how it looked--bland and watery, completely ruining the salad. The ingredients were fresh, but without a proper dressing, it just felt uninspired. Service was good and the space was clean with a modern casual vibe but I expected something much better food-wise. The rice is always cooked on point and the shcug sauce is similar to a chimichurri and it's incredible! Place is usually very clean with plenty of room for seating indoors and out. Finally, Raul was the absolute best with his customer service. He took our order, gave suggestions, chatted with us, cleaned our table, brought out our order, checked in on how it tasted, took our trash, and chatted with us again, all while doing the same for everyone else in house! I have been eating at this location for years and usually love it. Unfortunately, the past two visits have been disappointing to say the least. Both times, one dish was brought out well before the other plates. We were left waiting for 20 minutes for the second plate while the first one got cold. When the second plate arrived, the order was incorrect. We were told they would remake it but after another 20 minutes of waiting, we left. We had a chicken pita and the gyro loaded fries. The sauce on the fries was very tasty and the pita was really good as well. The inside was clean and quite comfortable.
