When my brother and boyfriend first went to Luna Grill, I didn't see anything readily vegan on the menu so I didn't eat. I looked online a few days later (since I was jealous) and found a few options that would work for me and were just not as clear on the in-store menu. I skipped over to my nearest Luna Grill, ordered a Falafel Wrap on Multigrain Flatbread, and began my love affair with this Mediterranean gem. When I proudly walked up the register and ordered my meal, the staff was really accommodating. I ordered the Spicy Hummus as my side, but since the pita bread contains milk, they gave me a side of cucumber, carrot sticks, and celery sticks to use. The Spicy Hummus isn't all that; it tastes like normal, plain hummus with a little spice, but I would not call it "spicy." I guess that is great for people who are intimidated by a little kick in the throat. I didn't dislike it.. I still order it every time, it just wasn't what I was expecting the first time I had it. The Falafel Wrap came like a wrap/burrito. The multigrain was close to a tortilla in texture and worked better for me than a pita probably would have. It was sliced in half so that I could see the falafel and the fixins (hummus, tomato, lettuce) and fight with myself over which side to eat first. The falafel was crispy, but crumbly which saves me from roof-of-my-mouth-cutting nightmares at other places. It was so flavorful and complex that I may have tried to analyze all of the ingredients in it. It comes with a side of Tahini which is just delectable drizzled over the wrap. The restaurant has very punchy, bold reds and blues which makes the place fun. Although it is a corporate chain, it feels cozy. There are booths and flexible tables and chairs for use. Plenty of people called it home during the FIFA games because they have a big screen tv mounted on the entry wall. Overall, my ratings for this fast casual restaurant are: the wrap gets 5 stars, the hummus gets 4 stars, the service gets 5 stars, and the atmosphere gets 5 stars. read more

Can I just say for a moment that I love Luna Grill! I have been frequenting this restaurant for sometime now, and everything I have eaten here has been absolutely delicious. My favorite thing on their menu is the chicken kabobs and Mediterranean salad. And their rice...WOW! The food takes a little longer than your average quick service restaurant, but it is made to order,It's always served hot and tasty too. Service overall, I am always greeted with a warm smile and hello upon entering the building. To top this experience off and make this a five star experience the cashier Brenda was spot on with her recommendations she went above and beyond to meet my expectations,I will always recommend this place. Was initially really impressed by the student deal for a free kabob with email, which was what brought me and my roommate in. It was a pleasant experience up until we received some major attitude from the employees. There also was a lack of communication and clarity regarding the promotion. I had paid for a gyro and presented my ID for the student promo. I was not given any kind of response about it and assumed it was accepted for the free kabob. When I had received the gyro there was no kabob; which was fine, I assumed they forgot. I had asked about it and one of the employees mentioned I had to show a coupon from the email. My roommate had pulled up the email on her phone to show me what to look for (since I never check my email) and I pulled it up on MY phone in MY account... and the short haired girl barely said a word to me as she looked at it and made no eye contact with me. There were also a few more girls hovering, they all seemed to ignore me the same way. I was still feeling alright with it all, up until like 10 minutes later when the same girl came up to me with my food and basically confronted my roommate and I about "sharing the same email because it costs them money". I was pretty taken aback, and explained that we were both students and had shown them separate emails. I mean, I even showed them my ID card initially?? Anyway, she didn't accept the explanation whatsoever, and continued to say "okay don't do that next time, it costs us money". Okay... Didn't feel like arguing so we just left but wow. I've never been one to care about customer service, I prefer employees who don't hover and do their own thing. One thing I will not stand for is shitty and aggressive treatment of customers. I wouldn't be able to overlook what happened for the best food in the world. Please don't attack your customers and make them feel like criminals. I don't think I'd be back, bud. TL;DR. Really really really rude and aggressive customer service. Go somewhere else! read more

I love the team here at Uci marketplace, they treat me with so much kindness. Mel and Aaron know how to run the show, the food never disappoints. Consistency is key in a restaurant. If I may appeal to authority, I have 4 years of experience as a line cook in some fancy restaurants. Of course I cook at home as much as I can, but when I don't have the time you'll find me at Luna grill. I've been going to Luna grill since 2016. It's fresh whole food! White meat chicken kabob, basmati rice, salad, and tzatziki (A Greek yogurt based sauce). Can't beat those healthy sources of protein, carbs, and fat. Plus the leaf greens for micronutrients. Luna grill is truly underrated. Far better than chipotle, which has gotten too big to control the quality, and I see them cutting costs with cheap ingredients. After hearing mixed reviews about this newly opened location I finally decided to check it out myself. I ordered a Greek Salad with Salmon togo. It totaled up to be 17 dollars. With a price tag of 17 dollars I expected a tasty lunch, but that wasn't the case. In big font on the menu, it had mentioned that all salads come with Pita bread. I had not received Pita bread NOR the dressing. The key component to a Greek salad is the vinegarette. I was left trying to finish a lunch of dry salmon and lettuce. No amount of lemon juice could add moisture to this salad. Not the best impression of a new restaurant. Aside from the food, ambience and decor of the restaurant was pleasant. read more
