Brand new Luna Grill location. I like the decor and vibe of the place. Great menu with so many options. I love their salad and add gyros meat which is a huge meal for just over $10. When I'm not so hungry the kids meal is a great size, for around $5 I get gyros and fries or a side salad and its plenty of food. Love their tzatziki. Service is nice, plenty of seating. The first time I came here, the food was amazing. I dined in with my roommate and had the chicken kabob plate. The meat was juicy and tender. Everything about my meal was delicious. I came back a second time a few weeks later, but ordered take out and the food was not as good as I remembered. Chicken was dry and the salad didn't look very fresh. Also had pita bread appetizer for free because of the yelp check in. (Best deal every). I can't say if I loooove this place, but it's good! Maybe dine-in is better than take out? read more

I just noticed that this opened up in University Center so I decided to grab lunch in between my classes at UCI. I like the atmosphere of the restaurant - felt kinda hipster and was very clean. I bought a ground sirloin kabob plate which came with more food than I thought it would. It comes with one long kabob of meat, which was really juicy and had a good flavor. It also has basmati rice, salad, some pita bread, and you can get carrots or grilled tomato (I went with the carrots). For the price ($11 or $12), I think it was worth it. It's comparable to Hen House, a similar restaurant nearby in the Albertsons plaza, except this plate comes with less meat and bread, but has salad. The cashier was a bit awkward and slow but I think she was just training, so I didn't mind. Also, it wasn't busy when I went so there was no rush. Overall, I would recommend this place but I think it might be slightly too expensive for college students. It would be nice if they had some sort of student discount for the UCI students across the street. read more

This is my go to place to eat at UTC, not only is the food delicious but the people there are amazing! Kat has always been very accommodating! She is very knowledgeable with the menu and gives great recommendations. I tried the new Classic and Keto Bowl, and they are both a great addition to the menu, since I usually order the Salmon plate! The ambiance is relaxing especially when you sit outside. Kat is awesome, she'll take care of you, and always makes you feel at ease! Marlina is also a great resource, and maintains her cool even when under pressure from all the orders coming in. This was the worst experience I have ever had at any Luna grill. The manager, "Chris" was nothing but rude. When I showed him a coupon he said and I quote "I have to educate you to use this app." I let it slide but that's just so wrong to say to anyone then when we get the order, they gave it to us wrong. Didn't give any utensils or napkins and they said they did that on purpose?! We then went back to complain and talk to the supervisor Chris said he is the manager/supervisor then said ok I have a supervisor after I persisted but wouldn't give me the supervisors contact information, his last name, or his employee number. He laughed at our faces several times throughout the order. Never go to this place unless you want any and all mistakes to never be fixed and instead be ridiculed. Worst co-workers ever! Everyone was just silent and hid in the back of the kitchen. They then threatened to call the police for talking to them? No yelling no vulgar language just talking about how they messed up the order? Then they realized they were wrong to say that and took it back but it's just all so rude. I love Mediterranean food, and Luna Grill didn't disappoint. New location across from UCI, which is great since I work there. It doesn't seem to attract a lot of students, which is good. Went for lunch with a small group from the office and found plenty of seating. You order at the counter and bring the food out to you. Service was prompt and friendly, and the food was excellent. I was really impressed with the size of the portions too. Ordered the Gyros Plate which came with a small salad, rice and pita bread, and your choice of carrots or tomatoes. Everything was fresh and tasty. My party also tried two of the shareables/appetizers: the spicy feta (nice kick, but not super hot) and the traditional hummus plate. Both came with a nice portion for the five of us to share and lots of pita bread. Great experience for a new place, can't wait to go back and try more, especially the dessert. read more

The chicken was juicy and flavorful and it went nice with the rice! The roasted tomato was whole but when I cut it up to eat with the entree it was really good! Also, I got spicy hummus and there's a discount on it for UCI students so that was cool! It's been my third visit at this location. I like coming to this location because the staff has always been friendly. There is a young lady there, I believe her name is Brenda, she's always very helpful and she is always very patient with me since I am very undecided on what to order because everything is really good. The plates are decent servings I can almost never finish the meal. The chicken and beef are moist and tasteful. Love the basmati rice!
