I work in the area and have watched this place being built. Super excited since I love Luna Grill in SD. I've already been a few times since they've opened, and have been very happy. Customer service is great, and food is fresh & delicious! I most recently ordered the falafel plate. The falafel was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, very fresh and hot. There was a mishap with my card being charged multiple times. It was super annoying and when I contacted their management they were very apologetic and explained that there was an error with their system. They are currently refunding me all the money and have been very accommodating. People need to relax, they're not crooks, they're human. Yes it was annoying and yes it was extremely frustrating, but no they are not trying to scam you of your money, it was an error in their system. I work in retail and I hate getting blamed and yelled at by guests for the computers acting up. I love Luna. I think the food tastes great and the service has always been awesome when I've gone. Had lunch with the wife and kids. The service was good. I had the gyro and it was good. Don't get the kids meal burger it was not good. My wife got the chicken kabob plate the chicken was dry. The decor is very nice. Their prices are a little high but what Greek place isn't anymore. There are other places around the mall I would rather eat at before a movie. Food was excellent, we really enjoyed trying a new place and loved the gyros. Toddler did as well! Staff was friendly at the counter, food quantity was very decent for price. I ordered the gyros signature plate and it came with rice, salad, pita, and a grilled half Roma tomato. The tzatziki sauce was good-not too much dill and slightly more yogurt-like. Debated between 4 and 3 stars because food took FOREVER but wanted to give 5. Everyone was coming up asking about their order and it was quite difficult to manage with a child. The food is good but as other guests have indicated, a little overpriced. Today, I had a little issue that, granted it was resolved, but it left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth (no pun intended lol). I had a coupon for one free entree item up to $11.75 so my bf and I went in on our lunch hours and I ordered him a grass fed burger, which was $10, a side of feta chips ($5) and a side salad ($3) . The bill, even with the coupon was still $17.00 and when I saw the receipt, it turns out they incorrectly charged me $7.00 for a house salad, then took that off for the free entree, not the $10.00 grass fed burger plate. When I asked why not the highest priced item, I was told "we just push a button and the machine picks the item"..needless to say I was not happy. They DID end up fixing the issue and only charged me the $3 for the side salad AND applied the free coupon to the burger plate so after all was said and done I only ended up paying $8 and some change out of pocket, but it just sucks that I had to go back up to the register and plead my case and wait to have everything corrected. The only reason I was even there with a free entree item coupon is because a month or so ago, our office ordered from there via Grubhub and after over an hour, the food never showed up and I had to go pick it up. They were very apologetic and took steps to make it right, which I can appreciate. In conclusion, I will say they do try to make things right when mistakes happen. After today's fiasco, they gave me a card for a free order of hummus. I don't know when or if I will ever go back but if I do, I'll be sure to use it. read more

I visited this place for the first time about a week ago, the food was awesome the the restaurant itself is beautiful. It did take us about 30 minutes to get our food because of some sort of issue in the kitchen, but when the food did come out everything was great so it made up for the wait. Plus the two servers that helped us were really nice and helpful... they had pretty difficult names I couldn't remember them unfortunately. read more

Stopped in early on Sunday today (11:15am) for lunch. Very few people in the place but they were starting to come in fairly quickly. We each had the chicken kabob which came with chicken, rice, salad, a portion of pita, a grilled tomato and some tzatziki dipping sauce. LOTS of food! All of the food was good, the chicken was very moist and flavorful. Kind of expensive, but there is a lot of food. I absolutely hate to give this place anything less than 5 stars but an honest review needs to be made. On several occasions when dining here with my 4 year old son, we would order him a cheeseburger "kids meal." For some reason, his meal would always come out late after ours and hot off the grill. Not sure about you but I don't want to feed my child scorching food that would burn his mouth and cause him pain. So we would have to wait and cool his food. On top of that my son is a sloooooow eater, so what should be a 30-45 minute dining experience ends up being over an hour waiting for him to eat his food that he doesn't want to eat (4 year old stage.) That's fine and all, since many restaurants are offenders here, but here's my problem. Tonight my wife specifically requested "could you please cook the burger first this time because we keep getting it after our food and it's scorching hot." Two individuals behind the counter heard this and nodded. We also heard them tell the cook to cook the burger first for this order. So here comes our plates, and guess what? No burger. The cook misunderstood and thought we wanted our KID'S BURGER HOT... what??? So they apologize and ask if we want the side order of fries now for him. We are clearly disappointed, and you would think, being that they messed up the order (and our experience) that they would have offered something. Nope, just dropped the food by and left. We didn't make a fuss, but I'm surprised since I frequent Luna often and have introduced many friends and employees to the restaurant. Slightly second disappointment is that they replaced my wife's favorite drink (Pibb) with some clear soda. No idea, very random. After tonight I'll probably head to Daphne's or to Pamir's for a while. Maybe even the new Kabob place off Overland and Margarita. Bummed. read more

Then a few more minutes we got the last. They ran out of tzatziki sauce for the gyro. What Mediterranean restaurant runs out of tzatziki? I went to Luna Grill for dinner and it was outstanding. I had the Halal Lamb dinner with rice, sautéed carrots and upgraded to Greek salad. I didn't wait long for my dinner and it looked delicious, but Alex, the manager, stated that my lamb had been burnt and it would be replaced. I thanked him and I started to eat. The meat was slightly charred but okay but more cooked than I like, the salad was flavorful and just enough feta to add to the salad and not enough olives for my taste but still plenty. The carrots were nice and delicious without being over cooked and the rice was the perfect compliment to all of the above. Alex brought the new lamb and it was so good! It was tender and juicy and wasn't lamby or gamey . .. I would totally recommend this place ! The staff were all friendly and had smiles as well as being helpful. read more
