My first visit here, I have been to the one in Poway, and that was great. This one, not so much. So this is meant as helpful suggestions. So I ordered a gyros plate and a drink. The cost right around 15.00. The place was not real busy, I was just after the dinner crowd I suppose. The salad was OK, but when I got to the gyros, they were stiff, tough and very cold to the touch. Gyros in the final stage whatever before being tossed I suppose. I thought it might just be one piece but the whole thing was cold to the touch. I mean not just not kinda warm, but cold. Obviously they had been out somewhere for quite some time unless they did not heat it up to begin with but the pieces were stiff and unappetizing. I took it back and the young lady was very nice, and said she would give me a new plate. I had not eaten the meat, just one piece, one bread, and the salad. The rest was cold and not acceptable. So she said she would get me a new plate. I really don't send things back, but with the price and all, I wanted fresh food. She brought me fresh gyros alone. I guess my expression revealed my surprise, so she asked if I wanted rice as well. I said I took it all back but did eat the salad. Remember? This plate was better, the gyros were hot and fresh as was the rice. Of course this proved to me that the prior serving had been either from old cold stuff, or pre prepared, and certainly should not have been served. The one in Poway is great. We visited Luna last night and it was fairly busy as usual. So as we were waiting for our food, we told our 9 year old son to grab a table. He was already sitting down when one of the female employees was talking to someone she obviously knew, she told our son to move out of the booth...that he was Cleary sitting in... and she seated that person. When we confronted her, after we witnessed the whole thing she basically called my son a liar and said she didn't tell him to move. I was unaware Luna was now offering seating service. We visit here a lot, and I don't appreciate someone calling my son a liar in front on him. It was rude and uncalled for. I gave an extra star because another young lady apologized and offered a free cupcake to our son for the trouble and she was very apologetic. read more

Even though I am a vegetarian, I come here often with my friends and they usually order the chicken kobab plate and I usually will just eat something something without meat. My friend who loves Mediterranean food says that this is her favorite Mediterranean restaurant because the food is phenomenal. I really like the pita bread! However the seating here is difficult because it is always crowded. The service is good but the food takes awhile. So overall, the food is 10/10 but the service is a 7/10. read more

We went here before the actual opening day, during their friends and family weekend. They were all training and getting ready for the actual opening. Let me tell you, I have never had a better experience at a restaurant, EVER. Though it was busy, the staff was so nice and accommodating. They made sure during the wait that we had our drinks and even offered us dessert. When we finally got seated they gave us a free platter of pita bread and humus even though the wait wasn't bad for the amount of people over loading them. The food was absolutely amazing. The portions are big. I had the beef, grilled onions, and green pepper kabob and it was so delicious. Their hummus and pita bread is also amazing. I went with my best friend and after our meal they even gave us pita bread and hummus to take home because we loved it that much. The food was amazing of course but the service and staff just made it that much better and makes me want to go back just to be around such sincere people who have great vibes. 10/10 would recommend! read more

The portions are large but the food lacks flavor. Rice was extremely bland gyro meat tough and dry. Chicken skewer and beef were better but still lacked great flavor. The tzatziki sauce had no flavor. The very next day I received a email that was very professional and apologizing for the experience. It also mentioned it will be shared with the management. Huge fan of the food here and the customer service is amazing, for the most part. Watch out for the new manager though! I believe her name is Juanita. She is incredibly rude to the customers and openly disrespects her staff. She is loud and obnoxious. Honestly, if I see her working when I walk by, i won't even stop in. The food was tasty! I had the Halal Lamb, my wife had the Gyros Plate and our son had a burger. All were great. The staff, Juliet, Juanite and Alex were attentive, helpful and friendly. We're going to have to make a point of getting back to Luna Grill more often. read more

Had a gyro a la carte. Lots of meat which was tasty but really dry, almost like thin jerky, on nasty, dry flat bread (lavash?), instead of their tasty, fresh pita. It was impossible to pick up and the bread was impossible to cut so I had to kind of tear it and get my fingers messy. It came with a couple of slices of tomato and a couple of slices of cucumber, too few considering how dry the meat and bread were. It also came with a sauce which was nice otherwise the meat and bread would have been too dry to choke down. Would have preferred a more traditional gyro that I could eat like a taco with some lettuce or something else to moisten up the sandwich. Music was so loud we couldn't have a conversation. read more

This is my first review on yelp and I had to write one because I'm sitting at the restaurant this evening and a gentleman comes in and speaks with the so-called manager of the restaurant about an online order he made. He stated he requested it to be delivered as the restaurant app states and she said that they don't deliver yet there was a sticker on the door of the restaurant stating they do. She was not professional or kind to him and it was obvious and uncomfortable. Then when the gentleman took his bags and left the manager continued to talk negatively about him and the order. This place treated my son and I horrible. After waiting in line to order for 15 minutes, they told me it would be another 25 minutes for our food. I asked to speak to the manager about their lack of organization and planning, because that is way to long of a wait for a fast food type restaurant. I spoke to the manager Juanita, who was unbelievably rude. An employee who was ringing up the orders yelled at me and said, "what do you expect us to do?" I told them to hire more people. Juanita told the employee, "Don't worry about her," as I walked out. This place is extremely unprofessional. I will NEVER go back. Took the hubby and the kids to have dinner, it was their first time eating here. Place was packed it's Friday night after all. Food was really good. Our boys devoured their grass fed cheese burger and quesadilla. We had the chicken kabob which was cooked just right, not dry at all. Hubby enjoyed his grilled steak. What made this dinner extra special though was the type of service we received from the staff, Alan made sure that we get the first available table, our waitress gave us complimentary desserts because our feta fries was late..Who does that?!?!? My husband and I went here for dinner. We were greeting as soon as we walked in. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. Although our meals took awhile to come to us the staff came up and apologized and keep us informed that one of our meals was just taking a while to cook thoroughly and should be out shortly. The food here was absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I went on a 'snack date' and ordered simple little appetizers to kill time before our movie, and we were not disappointed! The falafels and the seasoned french fries were absolutely delicious! Besides the food, this review is focused on the incredible customer service that we received while we were there. We had been visiting the Luna Grill in San Diego and were excited to learn they were opening a new location in Temecula. I brought my family in and we all had the lamb kabob. It really was delicious! I would be fine with that price if I had a better experience. It took around 20 minutes to get my food, they weren't busy and I was under the impression that was the norm. My gyro meat was crazy salty and dry. I almost think it was deep fried not sliced from a rotisserie. The salad dressing was bland and just kind of squirted in top. I don't need a lot just if it's going to oil based just prefer it to be tossed better. It was a very dry salad too. The rice was just basmati rice, can't mess that up too bad.
