    Lobster roll

Relatively small place just off the village free . Really nice lobster roll - well filled and not at at skimpy on the lobster

We stopped for a quick Italian sandwich and clam chowder in between hikes. Both were delicious! The service was overall quick considering there was a bit of a line. Overall, the food was good. However, $30 for one sub and a side of clam chowder soup seems on the pricey side.

Walking through the door, you will be smitten with Patrick (Irish ) greeting everyone and taking the orders. The food did not disappoint ~ we had the clam chowder (), followed by an Italian sub and lobster roll (best price and tastiest that we had so far, 3rd one to be fair). We looked up the place and discovered it is owned by a veteran ~ always happy to support our veterans !

I currently just ate this italian sandwich. This is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my entire life. And I am a sandwich fanatic. The sandwich was unreal. There was fresh warm garlicy bread, crispy mozzarella, a good amount of meat, and marinated tomatoes. This was unreal, I couldn't recommend more.

Clam chowder and the ONLY acceptable oyster crackers at Lunch in Bar Harbor, ME.

I love this place SO much. I recently took the family on a trip to Maine. We only had one day in Bar Harbor and Acadia, but our trip was 100% planned so the timing allowed us to get to Bar Harbor at just the right moment to, well, get lunch at Lunch. Their sandwiches are incredibly tasty and creative. But my god, their clam chowder is to DIE for. So, so, so good. Plus, really nice atmosphere in their little establishment and the staff is so friendly. Cannot recommend this place enough. Wish I could be there more.

#2 panini: grilled tandoori chicken, curry slaw, chef's roasted garlic aioli
    Clare C.

This was exactly what I was craving for lunch!! It has the most perfect lunch sandwiches. I ordered the #2 panini with grilled tandoori chicken and roasted garlic aioli. It was delicious! Perfect crisp and crunch of the bread with the wonderful garlic aioli. Inside has some places to sit and it is cute inside. The food took about 10-15 minutes to come out. Prices were very fair for ~$13 for the sandwich. I left so happy and wanted to come back! Love it here!

Maybe the best sandwich I've ever had!!! So much flavor also great music playing and located right in town. Perfect to grab to go before a hike at Acadia

    Mortadella pesto

Very cute space with a very friendly staff- have a sandwich or salad to please most people. We got the pesto mortadella and it was really good. We added balsamic and i think it needed it to cut the richness but it came out fast and hot. Great spot after a hike'

We showed up on a Saturday at 5 o'clock end of August and got right in at Annex which is the same menu and attached. Waiters were helpful and kind, amazing people! Live music was going on at 7 but we left right before, awesome vibes doors to the outside open so it was basically an open air concept since it was a beautiful day. Clam chowder: super delicious and passed the spoon test! (I like my chowders thick so a spoon should float on top) Bangin Shrimp: seasoning and sauce were bangin! Great stuff and the buttery grilled flamed pita added a beautiful touch Cadillac fries: crispy fries with melty cheese, hot sauce, bbq sauce, chipotle mayo and toooed with bacon. We inhaled these. Mac + rac: fall off the bone rips and the Mac was killer. Mixed in with street corn added a great change up and all went so well together. Larger shells cooked perfectly and super cheesy, this was a great dish. Highly recommend, wish I could have tried the Blueberry Pie because that looks insane, was way too full after crushing the other dishes and washed down with a blueberry beer and an extra dirty martini!

I think a trip to the grocery store would have been more filling then getting anything on this menu. Our waitress didn't even tell us her name, she didn't ask how we were. She didn't even smile or give any warmth. Made us feel like she was working in a prison camp. The food was so sub par.. like abysmally bad.. compared to other places?! This is super forgettable! The only thing memorable about it was how horrible our experience was. My wife's margarita was basically all mix. My Maine lunch ipa beer was as expensive as buying a six pack. And oh, you want to spend over $30 on an entree? Prepare to be left with a half empty stomach and then expect to gorge yourself on a load of chips that I guess they try and compensate for their lack of originality and tastefulness. Gosh I'm spending too much time on this review when it deserves no more of my energy. Let alone money. Do yourself a favor and try a different spot. Don't come here. Ps. Gave it 2 instead of 1 star because the atmosphere and location are nice. SKIP!

Off the beaten tourist path and open year round, PP lives up to the reviews and hype. We made a mistake our first night in Bar Harbor going to a tourist trap and getting a rubbery lobster roll and sad chowder. I did a bit of research online and found Peekytoe and was SO glad for it. While you don't get a water view, but a cute walk down the main drag, it is WELL worth the excursion AND HOW. My husband said his Crabby Patty was the best crab cake sandwich he ever had. I agreed in as I had the cake as an app. I also got a Halibut dish with pickled fiddleheads (a local green I might liken to okra for lack of other reference) and blistered tomatoes. It was moist, well cooked fish, amazing sides with phenomenal heightening elements. We also enjoyed our cocktails immensely. GO if you are a foodie and don't want a lame wannabe roll with some kids grilled cheese sides, DO this spot. SO well worth it. PS to manament - I know you do a brunch. MAKE SURE YOU DO A CRABCAKE BENEDICT. Your crab cakes are divine and with a slight seared crunch. Ideal. You can even do a lemon-fiddlehead or blistered tomato HOLLANDAISE. I'd be IN IN as I am sure most people would. The vinegary elements from the fiddleheads to (I think) my husband's pickled onion atop his crabby patty MADE the CRABCAKES THE STAR.
