The dressing was supposed to be Caesar, but it was a tasteless blob of liquid. My friend got the mushroom dish on the vegetarian menu. Came here on a Sunday afternoon after spending the morning at Bass Pro and needed to satisfy our fajita cravings. Lupe has some of the best fajitas around so we were happy there was one close by. It was definitely busy which probably explains why the service was a tad slower, but the ambiance was good and the food was great as it usually is. We ended up getting the combo fajitas with the chicken and beef and then added on some extra shrimp. Knocking off a star for this particular visit as I thought the portion sizes were a little small for what we paid, but again the food was excellent. In early June my family came for a weekend of Girls Flag Football at RRMC and Lupe for Brunch was a no brainer!? On Sunday morning we headed straight over after the game. We elected to sit outside and it took about 20 minutes just to get someone to put the tables together. After we were finally seated, it took another 30 minutes to get drinks. Don't even get me started on how long the food took, how many orders were wrong, the low quality of the entrees and how the arrival of the food staggered between 10-40 minutes only bringing 2-3 plates at a time!! But to add Insult to Injury, the server who has already added Gratuity( Party of 12) expected.......added an additional tip to our tickets over charging our cards. I spoke with one manager and emailed another manger and never heard back. Now I can deal with a couple of one offs but I want to trust that my account will only be charged for what is authorized, and no accountability is not acceptable. Oh how the mighty have fallen! Updated on a return visit. Put our name on a wait list on a Sunday night. We got there and waited 20 more minutes. Ordered drinks and everyone got there except me. Ordered a Tito's martini and the waiter came back 15 minutes later and said out of Tito's. Okay Ketel is fine. Another 15 to get a drink. Queso was good. Then dinner arrived but not at once. The drinks were average fare - the house margarita was solid plus it always comes with a little extra to top off your drink after you have consumed a little of it. This is for the people who are thinking about ordering their party packs. I like Lupe in general, but they are constantly short staffed. To their credit, the manager and the To Go server were nice. We ordered party pack 1 for Xmas, which is supposed to be for 4-6 people. I was a bit disappointed. 1 lb of chicken and some pretty small portions of sides. Most noticeably the beans looked like they were for two people. I did double check and the To Go guy said that it was 14 oz of beans. I even asked the manager, who said the container was correct. He offered a little container of more beans though, which I did accept. It was really bothering me when I got home bc we had guests to feed, so I measured it. They gave me 8 oz of beans plus a little extra that was offered when I questioned the size. Even with the extra, it made 10 oz of beans. Just a word of advice, if you order the party packs, the portions are small, so you will need more food than what you think. read more

I went to eat here yesterday. My husband and I sat at the bar. The service was very slow. we weren't greeted for about 10 minutes. A woman came in after us and got her food before us. When I asked the server to check on our food, as it had been 45 minutes, she said oh well her food came out first because of what she ordered. The woman got a full on steak meal, I ordered chicken tacos. I don't think that she put my order in because it came out five minutes later, which is probably how long it took make Tacos because you know they already have the meat made. Only 2 menus and 2 sets of utensils. Had to used a CHIP to put garnishments on tacos. Had to share a spoon with member in our party. Asked waitress 4 times for utensils. Never got them. They have a series of tables lined up around the bar where you can sit while waiting, but no one will serve you there, which is kind of annoying. It was extremely busy, and the bar was crowded. If you wanted to order a drink, you had to stand behind someone sitting in a chair. I feel like they should leave an opening at the bar for people to walk up. I don't drink, but I imagine that would be frustrating for someone who does. Once we were seated and placed our order, the food didn't take too long to come out. It's a shame that's the food is so good and my main reason for this review is to reach out to management in a hope that someone cares enough to remember why they went into business. Wasn't it to offer your great recipes and experience in competition with all the other Mexican restaurants. If not that what? And yet this place is so poorly run and has been for years. I remember when they claimed Covid and staff requirements created extreme difficulty in hiring. But years later it is evident. The managers do not know how to run an operation like this. There are more than 50% of the times here when numerous tables are open and cleaned and you are told 15-30 minutes wait after you joined the waitlist 30 minutes prior which indicated a 15-20 minute wait. How is that? Sometimes you can quickly count there are more tables available than groups waiting and yet the hostesses will tell you 30 minutes and 10-15 minutes goes by with maybe one table seated. It's extremely frustrating and I have stayed away which is exactly the opposite of why you went into business in the first place isnt it Lupe? Fire the managers and get a Chick-Fil-A manager to run this place like it should be so more patrons can experience your great food and drinks. Until then you'll never see the revenue you could. Our server was very friendly and attentive but she didn't rush our meal. We always enjoy the thin and crispy tortilla chips and a great selection of salsas, guacamole and queso. This was my first time going to any Lupe Tortilla location, and it ended up being enjoyable for a casual birthday dinner. I will say that it was incredibly crowded on a Saturday evening and had more than an hour wait, but that was handled through the web site's reservation system so we only had to arrive 15 minutes before our table was ready and the system texted us to come to the front desk. On such a busy night it was also very noisy, but we were fortunate to be seated in the far back room that's set up for meetings with a few tables and a projector which wasn't in use, so it was a slightly quieter than the rest of the restaurant with its bar and large dining areas. The service was a little slower because of the crowd too, but nothing serious and our drinks and food came in a fine amount of time. The menu is large and has so many options it's nice to have a lot to choose from. I ended up picking the spinach & artichoke enchiladas with a delicious roasted red pepper cream sauce since I've never seen anything like that elsewhere, and I wasn't disappointed. It came with jack cheese but I asked them to add some shredded chicken as well, and it was very good. I'm sad there were only two enchiladas instead of the standard three! I also love that they let you choose seasonal vegetables instead of the rice and beans that come with many plates. The asparagus wasn't anything special but was a nice change of pace, and I heard the Mexican corn on the cob was delicious. The decor was nice with plenty of standard Mexican restaurant touches like brick walls with murals painted, stucco and wood sections, antique farm implements hanging on the walls, black and white photographs of Pancho Villa, etc. It's really crammed to the rafters with decor and feels about like you'd want it to.
