Happy hour oysters and sparkling white wine.

Delicious blue point oysters. The sushi looked great, too! Service was great, didn't feel rushed. I love the funky art on the walls. Great deal on happy hour oysters.

4.75 stars... For starters I parked in a lot nearby for cheaper than street cost. Less than 1 min walk. We came for happy hour than dinner... Happy hour blue point oysters were delicious. Very fresh, clean, and good price. The happy hour prosecco and house red was not ideal for my taste buds. The deviled eggs with caviar was also delicious you get 3 pieces (1.5 eggs). Then we switched to the dining room for dinner. The service is exceptional We had a new guy in training he was so fun and professional. The menu was cute ... More Appetizers... Mussels and clams chowder. I'm picky about my clam chowder and it was tasty and not too thin. Had potato and more clam than most places. The mussels were cooked perfectly with a good wine butter sauce. I had branzino it was the perfect crisp on the cooking. The potatoes and spinach was nicely seasoned. My friend had the crispy Asian snapper for two. A beautiful fish plated wonderfully. With veggies and crispy fried rice that was also very good and this portion was large enough for three people even though they say two. Drinks... The double espresso martini was delicious The shochu purple and plum was nice and strong. Definitely had some left overs. The wait staff was even funny and professional.

Stopped in for a few appetizers to check this place out. Ordered the happy hour shrimp tempura and a dozen oysters. The shrimp was VERY good! The portion for happy hour was small but it packed a ton of flavor.

What can't I say about this place! All the food and drinks were spectacular! The staff was very kind and knowledgeable with drinks and the menu. We started with the crispy rice and spicy tuna, a common dish but Lures' made it so fresh- it just tasted so good. We also ordered the salmon tiradito, lobster roll, lobster Mac n cheese, and fried rice. Everything was delicious, but the fried rice was the sleeper of the night... it was so flavorful and maybe a commonly a slept on dish by other customers. Lastly, the aesthetic of the place was very pleasing and beautifully decorated. Can't recommend enough and can't wait to go back!

If I could, I'd give this place a 10! The service was outstanding, the food absolutely amazing, and the seating area was beautiful. We truly enjoyed every moment we spent here. It may be a fish bar, but their ravioli was superb--highly recommend!

Had a great Chicago Restaurant Week lunch here! Unfortunately you only get to choose 2 of the 3 courses on the restaurant week menu (with several options for all courses), but fortunately I was able to split food with someone and try an appetizer, entree and dessert! Started off with a yummy lobster bisque (that isn't offered on their regular menu). The sesame-crusted tuna salad had a nice dressing and was very fresh. The dessert was the highlight--matcha panna cotta was so delicious (also not on their regular menu)! Everything about the place feels high-end and photogenic. Nice and friendly service!

Tried the restaurant week lunch and loved it! Great ambience inside. I had the lobster bisque pan-roasted chicken. Both were well-flavored and had great portions, especially the chicken! My friend got the salmon tartare and winter mushroom bucatini, also so delicious! The bucatini was a little hard and oily. Overall, all the food was very well flavored and great service. Will be coming back to try more!

Pretty nice atmosphere very elaborate menu. I'd say a little on the pricey side, but what seafood isn't. My favorite thing was the Bronzino. And the Maki rolls worth all the money.

Was here for a quick bite and made it in time for happy hour-- the bluepoint oysters were fresh and succulent-- as fresh as they come, and the salmon avocado roll was also spot on. I had to try the turf option of slider and enjoyed that too. Friendly fast service at the high top next to the bar. It's next to the museum hotel, whose lobby is that. I'll be back for dinner!

Two thing cinched it for me: this amazing wine and the horrible service. I heard one of the bartenders bragging about how their boss called them for a supposed wine festival because they thought it would be busiest than it turned out to be. That may be so, but I had to ask for every glass of wine and even to order while others were served around me. The hostess staff were impeccable though. I will say, the mussels were fabulous and this pink tinted pinot grigio is absolutely going on my wine list. It is a very relaxing environment. You can stop in for a quick glass or two of wine or for a fancy dinner.

Lobster roll. It's a cold lobster roll but that was fine with me. It comes with chips but I asked for fries.

Great service and delicious food. It's always a gamble when you eat in a restaurant in a hotel. Lure is located in 21c and it didn't disappoint. A bit pricey but going during happy hour allows you to try many things for half the cost. Try the caviar deviled eggs. Soooo good!

I have been to a Lure fish bar before and was very pleased with everything that was served. Previously it was for a sponsored Yelp event in which we got to try a lot of different menu items. Lure Fishbar has this incredible seafood pasta made with bucatini pasta. I also enjoy their various sushi selections. On this occasion came for happy hour and to sample some wines. Top Albarino wines were sampled and a lot education put into the presentation. We didn't stay for dinner this time as my spouse isn't seafood crazy unless deepfried. Plus of this restaurant is quality of food and attached to 21|c museum.

I had the branzino, which was superb. Well cooked and flavorful. The crispy sushi rice was a unique experience, though pricy per serving.

We ordered the wedge salad and the yellowtail sushi roll. It was spicy and had a nice touch of yuzu on top and the fish was relatively fresh. The wedge salad had plenty of dressing on it and it was pretty good. For the main we got the Chilean sea bass which was very sweet and savory. The scallops had a perfect sear and they were pretty very rich and buttery. The broccolini was steamed and fresh. My favorites were the crab cake, Cobb salad, and short rib. The crab cake was very soft and had a nice texture to it. It was one of the best crab cakes I've eaten. The Cobb salad was also very light and shareable. The short rib main course was very tender, and it came with crispy potatoes as well. Some of the other items such as the Philly cheesesteak and Asian tacos were just ok. They were also both very small in quantity relative to their price. The desserts were magnificent as well, especially the deconstructed key lime pie and sticky toffee pudding. Both of them were phenomenal. The service throughout my meal was excellent. My waitress gave us some nice recommendations, and the staff came by often. I would definitely recommend to visit Bar Mar, and I look forward to coming back myself when I am in Chicago.

We really admire Jose's philanthropic work and want to love his restaurants but truth be told, if you forget about the glitzy decor, the food is just average. We tried several appetizers; the Hamachi Cone, Caviar Cone, Asian Taco, Neptune's Pillows, Shrimp Cocktail and Iberico Jamon. We also shared a bottle of Cava. Everything was fine but to be frank the Shrimp Cocktail was the best thing we ate, simple and perfectly fresh. The service was pushy, when a server wants to take you order less than 3 minutes after sitting down, it feels like you're on a conveyor belt. We felt the prices were way out of line, with tip I spent almost $500 for a bottle of cava and appetizers for two people, for that, the food should have been more memorable. We spent the same amount for two off us to have the 12 course tasting menu at Atsumeru a couple of weeks ago and Bar Mar's food isn't in the same league. We will continue to financially support Jose's World Kitchen but not his restaurants.

Bib on, gloves on, time to dig in... My daughter ordered the bag with shrimp, crab legs, corn and potatoes and I ordered lobster tails, corn and potatoes and two lemonades (lemonades were delicious!) We ordered our food with the everythang sauce (which is a mix of all their sauces) and it was really good and really flavorful. Messy is to be expected but surprisingly the food mess was manageable and did not take away from my dining experience. The amount of crab legs in my bag to me did not justify $32 and if it wasn't for the potatoes and two corns I'm sure I would of still been hungry. Seafood boils are not a cheap experience neither, our meals with the two lemonades and no alcohol was $110, so definitely not an every weekend dining option, but leaving I did see on their info board that their shrimp, crab bags are $28 Monday - Thursday and they look to have a pretty good happy hour so this might be a reason for a quicker return. I was excited, but they proceeded to sit us in a shared booth setting right on a busy aisle where I was literally facing a wall. We asked about moving seats, and to their credit we were moved to the back room tables with a window view. As we were waiting for our meal, two women were sat next to us, who was then joined by one of the hostesses (?) who proceeded to stand there with the two slightly intoxicated ladies and have a full on vacation gossip session about where they've traveled and who they know. I looked over at the hostess, who saw me, but didn't take the hint and continued having a loud obnoxious conversation directly next to us. This was going on for what seemed like 10 minutes, so I looked over again, to which she finally took the hint, ended the conversation, then clearly tried to do damage control by checking in with us. I finally got my order, the filet mignon, which I ordered medium rare. The first few bites were relatively good, nothing really special to be honest, but as I got further into the steak noticed it was cooked extremely uneven as the bites got more raw as I went. The remaining bites were literally cold red raw meat in the center. We ordered dessert, which was the Buttered Cake (?), which admittedly was the best part of the experience there. Overall, it was an experience I could have had at Applebee's. I was not impressed with the service, the staff, or the food. For the prices you pay to eat there you expect a level of decorum and attention, none of which we received.
