I came to this shop from a recommendation of a close friend who works at a tow company. When I got my car there. I as a customer should not have to help professional mechanics move my car. That is there job. When an employee gives a customer a price that price is set. No one pressured that set price nor encouraged that set price. I as a customer should not have to call a business more then 5 times to get a response. I as a customer should not have to text a business over and over and still get no response back. I had to keep driving my other car up to the shop just to get info regarding my vehicle which is absolutely unacceptable. This shop has 3 employees and only 2 mechanics and only 1 person will answer the call. They give you dates and promises that they cannot meet. Those dates and promises constantly get pushed back. It is a fact that my transmission got put in correctly after I had to pull up and watch them make sure they didn't mess my transmission up which I should not had to do. They tell me I need to order a rear drive shaft which after research is false. All the rear drive shafts are the same exact same size made for a certain amount of years. My drive shaft had to be cut. This result ended with me driving my vehicle and a day later my cap which is a universal unit connected to the rear yolk of my rear drive shaft ended up breaking. Driveline in springfield will fix my issue and for a fair and reasonable price because no customer should have gone through what I had to go through with any shop. These workers did me wrong and that is just the fact of the matter. I treated them with respect and with honesty and was kind also. I had to call them way too many times and I had to keep showing up every other week just to get my job done, explaining them I need my car for work. When you give a customer a set date for projects to get done that is what's supposed to be expected. It is not right or fair for a customer to pay for parts and fluid the shop should take of. They need better tools also and this could have been prevented. This is a place of business and matters need to be handled professionally regardless if a customers pockets are deep or not. You never know the kind of friends that customer has that could help this business expand and get more work then they already have which means more revenue. I did not want to give this review but they didn't even finish all the work required and now I have to go to another place to get it done. Luckily my reputation in the car world is known and respected and the workers / owners at driveline in springfield know me and will get the job done correctly with a customer satisfied. I will never go back this place of business after all the trouble I had went through that no customer should deal with. Take the time and do research first before coming to this shop.

The same person confirmed over the phone that they service Teslas and told me to bring it in. I drove all the way there, only to be told - after speaking with multiple reps - that they couldn't handle it because they "need special equipment." Straight up bullshit!!! They didn't even look at the car and just told me to call Tesla or tow it elsewhere. Total waste of time and energy. I ended up going to Dominion Tire Company just a few minutes away, and they had me in and out in about 10 minutes with no issues. ***Don't have customers drive out for nothing.***

I do not live in the Dumfries area, but if I did, I can tell you that I would not use anyone else if I could help it for my car maintenance needs. I have a 2018 Suburban, that hasn't given us any trouble. Traveling from out of town, my car went into shut down mode in the middle of I-95 on Friday around 5:30pm traffic. Luckily, I was able to use momentum to get off at the nearest exit where the vehicle locked out before I could properly pull into the nearest gas station. As a woman traveling alone I was obviously distressed by the situation. I tried to remedy the issue myself to no avail. I looked over and saw Meineke within walking distance, so I walked over as a last resort before calling a tow truck to see if they had a code reader, and would mind coming over. I walked in, and Q met me at the door. When I presented him with my situation he gladly offered to come over and assess the situation for me. He assured me of a couple different scenarios that could be happening, and a few options we may have. Once at the vehicle the code reader confirmed his predictions and he was able to quickly peform a reset. Poof! My vehicle was in good operating order again. If that wasn't enough, Q wanted to make sure that it was safe to continue to drive, knowing that I was traveling, so he brought it into the shop to double check a few things. He took his time explaining to me what all he was looking for, and what we would do if a problem arose. Luckily, all it needed was a reset of the battery, which we did, and it has been fine ever since. During my state of distress I hadn't paid much attention to time, just my nerves, and they weren't good. Once Q had assured me this was a fairly simple fix, and explained in detail what was going on, my anxiety about the situation dissipated, and I realized that Q was taking time after hours to help me in my unique situation. I tell this story in detail because not ony did Q quickly and efficiently get my vehicle up and running, but his attention to my state of distress, his kindness, and his desire to help me with my issue even when he would have to work late, speaks very highly of his character. I never felt like a burden, or that he was rushing through the situation. He truly cared to help a stranger in need. Q even took the time to show me in detail of another area that I should have checked out once I arrived home. I'm so thankful that I broke down near Q's shop. I truly believe that if I hadn't my situation might have been much different. Thanks to Q not only was the situation remedied quickly, but I had the opportunity to see that good people who want to help others do still exist. I will not forget Q's kindness to me, and I hope that others will try to give him their mechanical needs. It's people like Q that I want to support and see flourish in their business. They could've gotten to my car by 5 pm. They were nonchalant about helping me, so I went 200 yards to the Jiffy Lube and they assisted me immediately. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Won't be coming back to this Meineke ever. This experience could have been improved with a willingness to work on my vehicle.

Extremely bad work and shoddy parts…read more I had them install new brakes in the summer of 2024. By the winter of 2025, the brakes were wobbling. Apparently the brakes they installed were faulty (the rotors warped), but they still charged be $200 to replace them even though they were still under warranty. That would be fine, I guess, if they had done a good job or used good parts the second time, but it's been 2 months and my brakes are grinding and slipping. Apparently, the pins, the rotors, the pin boots, the pads, and a few other parts are so low quality that they're falling apart already. At this point, I'm not trusting my car to these guys again. I took my car to the mechanic near my work in Fredericksburg and paid him $500 to just do the job correctly. I deeply regret not taking my car to him in the first place, as he would have done a good job, stood by his work, and I wouldn't be out $700 for bad work and bad parts. Do yourself a favor and go to a different mechanic.
