Just finished a lovely lunch/brunch here... The service was great (Sydney was efficient, funny and attentive), and the food excellent. I had the French Dip which I would not normally order, but I saw a couple who were practically swooning as they relished their every bite and I was inspired one bite and I understood their motivation. The bread was soft, warm and incredibly good. The meat was tender, flavorful and not that usual grainy stuff you usually get with a French Dip. It actually tasted like prime quality beef. The Au Jus was so good I wanted to drink it Dearest had the omelette and it was chock full of ham and a nice size. We were started with a complimentary fruit plate of melons, grapes and strawberries, with a tummy cinnamon roll . Very nice. The fries were a wee soggy as were the breakfast potatoes...hence the 4 stars. We are potato people wish we coulda only deducted half stars, but couldn't. We came in here with friends after taking a trip to Grapevine for Christmas shopping and to look at the lights. We went in not knowing what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. It's a really cute spot with a great ambience. They had a fab drink and cocktail menu which is always a win for me. My friend and I had a french 75 and hubby had his go to old fashioned, they even made our friends daughter a Shirley temple with extra cherries, we all enjoyed those. We shared scallops to start and crab claws, both were great and then for mains myself and a friend had the prime rib which were soooo good. My hubby and friend both had a steak which they said were delicious, my friend also had clam chowder which she loved. They made a child's spaghetti with sauce too. Hostesses are super friendly and fun and the vibe is very warm. Gorgeous decor and elegant feel with friendly service from Adriana. We had hanger steak with a tasty chimichurri sauce and prime rib with au jus and horseradish. Sides of asparagus were perfectly seasoned and the macaroni and cheese was out of this world -- made with seven (7!!) cheeses and topped with Parmesan and broiled to decadence. This restaurant had a good atmosphere, and we had a nice waiter that was very informative on their cuisine. However, the food was very disappointing. Everything lacked flavor and just did not live up the hype. My son's chicken fried steak came with a black obvious hair cooked into it which the waiter apologized for and expedited a new one cooked. However, no one asked if he wanted a complementary dessert or even comped that dish due to this situation, so that was a little strange. I would say another interesting thing to be aware of is the salad is definitely not complementary. The waiter asked if we wanted a house salad and bread and we said, of course, not knowing it was $5 a person for the salad which definitely was not worth the price. Informing customers there is an up charge for items is essential. My wife got the grilled shrimp and subbed quinoa brown rice for the white rice, and it was overcooked. I made reservations through Open Table. When we arrived our table was ready. Our waitress Savannah was very nice and took our drink order. She came back and took our food order. I ordered prime rib and salad. The salad there is served family style and is all you can eat. We also ordered bread to go with it. The salad came out in a timely manner and was very good, especially with the bread to go with it. Pretty much when we were done with our salad, our entree was delivered. Very solid spot that we plan on visiting regularly. Went there for the first time the other day in search for a steak, was disappointed - do not get their steaks (particularly the ribeye or filet, came out medium when asked for rare, wasn't the greatest quality) Now that said, everything else, and I stress everything, tasted amazing. Their gumbo, fish, calamari, chicken, chowder, all really great. Their bartender does excellent work, too. The server on our first night seemed like she wanted to turn and burn her tables, which was a tad annoying. But the second time we went it was perfect service. AMAZING! We had amazing service and the food was phenomenal! We love Del Friscos but this far and away exceeded their menu! We had the scallops and ahi tuna to start and they were amazing! For entrees we had the filet mignon and New York strip with a side of Mac n cheese. Finishing everything off with the FANTASTIC key lime pie. I have been here for lunch twice now and have to say I really like this place. The service is always really good and the food is really good too. They can be a little pricey at lunch time compared to the other places around the Grapevine area however it is a complete escape from a busy day for you. One step inside takes you away from the hustle and bustle of your busy day. The first time I came I got the grilled salmon which was absolutely outstanding. It was served with asparagus that was delicious as well. On my second visit I got the chicken fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes. While it was good it had nothing on my salmon meal the first time. This place also has amazing bread. Both times I have come here I have had to ask for it which I don't know if that is just a fluke or if it is on request only. Either way your meal is not complete without it! read more

To start Macs has only been in this location since October of 2014. Meaning they have had about two months here so I can't just base all of my experiences here off of one visit. I will come back in a few months to look for improvements. To start off I went in for a late lunch around one on a Thursday. When I entered I had no idea if I was to seat myself or grab a table since the hostess stand was empty and no signs told me to do anything. After a minute or two a waitress and a waitress in training spotted me and brought me to a table and brought over a menu and my waiter who was equally as new as the restaurant. I was given a menu and the waiter scurried away to grab my drink. After a few minutes the waiter returned and I ordered a burger and house salad. Unfortunately, the waiter did not offer any opinions except that no matter what I ordered was the best thing on the menu. The salad came out with a side of bread. The salad and bread were both decedent and filling. While I was waiting for burger the manager stopped by for a bit of chitchat about how they are still adjusting to the new location and staff. The manager was a nice fellow and explained some of the issues they were having just opening in a new location. After the manager left and I finished my salad I played the waiting game of about 20 minutes until my meal arrived. The sandwich was good as were the fries with decent portions. Overall this place could use some work but it is worth a try, just make sure you are not in a hurry. read more

Weekday date night here was an excellent choice. The ambiance was Texas chic and the parking was so easy with the garage nearby. Our sever was attentive and gave great recommendations. For an appetizer we tried the ahi tuna poke. Pro tip: ask for extra wonton chips because you're gonna need them. The tuna was cut into little cubes and a soy based sauce lined the bottom of the bowl. This dish was fresh and the green onion brings brightness to it. I'm proud to say that not one cube of tuna was left behind. For dinner I chose the red fish which was on special for the evening. It was blackened and served with mashed potatoes and I added a side of spinach. The spinach was lightly sautéed to not lose its structure and seasoned with salt and pepper. The mashed potatoes were certainly made with love. They were fluffy and buttery. My redfish was a great portion especially for the price. Another fabulous meal at Max! We started out with sharing the scallops and crabcakes with another couple. I'd say the scallops were the star by and landslide. Hubby and I shared the 12 ounce prime rib with a baked potato, and couldn't finish it all! They keep bringing lots of bread, and butter is just wonderful, the other couple love what they had also service was great. I love that they didn't put everybody bunched up next to each other. Our go-to restaurant when we want a special evening is Mac's On Main in Grapevine. They have expanded so large crowds are more exsily handled. The staff are well trained and very responsive. The menu has a good variety and there is always a fish of the day. There is a full bar and a broad wine list. Our evening began with appetizers including crab cakes in a slightly sweet remoulade sauce and blue crabfingers with gatlic and basil. The special fish was an excellant Mahi-Mahi with roasted vegetables. After all of the appetizers, I decided to have the Prime Rib sandwich on a Cuban roll with au jus. It never disappoints. Key Lime pie is an easy ending to a nice dinner. The location is near the train station, so it is easy to find for visitors to Grapevine. read more

Decided on going here for the prime rib. They offer 3 different cuts of prime rib. We got a 12oz and an 8oz cut, though the 8oz seemed like it was just as big as the 12oz. Both steaks were cooked to our desired temperatures perfectly. The quinoa brown rice and the steak fries we got for sides were about average. The steak fries were higher pieces. Very good pricing for prime rib. The restaurant had more of a high end steakhouse vibe, without the high end prices. The turtle cheesecake was fantastic, and I'd highly recommend that if you like cheesecakes. read more
