( two houses on one lot ) ( 440-442 ) Therefore Enphase would not honor the warranty. They said the micro-inverters had been moved ! Ms. Reed was extremely rude and unprofessional. Rather than trying to help, she ( relied ) on the fact that the same DBA was dissolved in 2017 following the death of her brother. Poor customer service................. Before meeting him, I spoke with two other solar companies. One rep came on extremely strong and the meeting felt very sales-driven and impersonal, which made it hard to trust the information being presented. The other rep seemed to still be in training and had to run nearly every question through a senior colleague. Working with Julian was a relief. He's clearly experienced and communicates in a smart, casual, and very approachable way. We also had a great experience with Jelly and Brandi from the Solartech administrative team--they were easy to work with and helped keep everything moving smoothly. Solartech's digital quote platform made comparing options and selecting our plan simple and easy to understand. We ultimately decided against Tesla batteries after learning about potential overheating issues, which can be a concern in a place as hot as Hawaii. We went with Enphase we're happy with our choice. The installation team was excellent as well. Nainoa, the lead electrician on our project, is a total pro--easy to talk to, great at problem-solving, and he helped us quickly figure out a battery placement challenge. He completed the electrical work in just a few hours. During the panel installation, the crew accidentally drilled through part of our roof which caused a small leak, but they responded immediately and repaired it right away. Everything was patched up and looks good as new. We really appreciated how quickly they addressed the situation. Post-purchase support has been just as strong. I had some questions about how our system was pulling power from the grid, and Julian took the time to explain everything. It turned out to be more of a settings preference than an issue. I explained to him what was going on. I scheduled an appointment, I told him I wouldn't be home when they are at my house. He told me they would call when they were there. The day of the appointment I was at work, I waited for someone to call , no call at all so I wasn't sure if they checked on my heater. I called Mark, left a message. No call back. So I called Peter, same left message nothing, no call back that evening the next day.... Nothing for days. Then I get a text with a bill, and asking me what my last name was. I text back please call me because I had questions what was done because we still didn't have hot water, still hot then cold. Communication with them is terrible!!!! Then when I did receive a call, I missed the call; called mark back, left message, again no call back. So this was frustrating so I called my plumber to check my water line if something was wrong they checked and said no. He said my mixing valve needed to be replaced, they couldn't do it, they told me the solar people should have checked on would have knew the problem. . So I called Mark and left a message of what needed to be done. How quickly he returned the call and told me it would be another $200 to replace it. So I asked him you bill me for painting the insulation, checked the solar etc. I question him about him painting the insulation then he asked me did you climb up to check...I can see it from my daughters window Mark! Anyways the plumber asked me why the anode was changed so many times? Anyways I called on my retired friend who was a repairman. He checked the solar, anode and said the mixing valve needed to be replaced, he was nice to pick up the valve for me and replaced the old defective one. I'm fortunate to have a friend that could do the repair! Now I have cold and hot water thanks to my friend!!! I will seek another solar company with better customer service with better customer communication.

This is the monitoring system YOU installed and it died within the first year. Alternate Energy could not repair it and it hasn't been working since. Why is the consumer responsible for a tool YOU use?! Why can't you connect to my system with a laptop to troubleshoot why my panels are not generating any power? Unfortunately, I choose the wrong company!
