    Pre movie double fisting it.

Would love to give 5 stars but 3-5 is happy hour and they don't serve full menu. But.... People are cool here. And we'll see how the pizza Okay... waited to post until we sat at full dinner and no disappointment. The bar was awesome. Eulan and Rachael. The old fashion was great. Served with four roses. The mad garlic pizza was awesome. For dinner I orders the baked pasta.. just a ziti. And wife got the standby Alfredo. The ambiance is chill and cool. Can be a date night spot. Pre movie. Or just go out and get drinks. They have a good happy hour. Great spot to try on west side.

As always- great food, solid location next to the shopping center and theater. Staff is always kind, and assisted quickly.

This place is cute! The food came out quickly. I was a bit disappointed for the price of the food, I was expecting a bit more. $7 to add shrimp to the Alfredo, and it wasn't even equivalent to 3 full shrimps. For $27 I was expecting a bit more. The Pizza was good though. We didn't leave full. The service was a bit of a lag. The waitress kept forgetting items we asked for.

Bolognese and Supreme pizza (very spciy).

Just an update..... Prices went up (of course, it's what everyone is doing) but I feel like flavor went down. Bolognese was not as flavorful as all the other times we've had it in the past. Also, a PSA for everyone, we ordered the Supreme pizza which was tasty but it was SO spicy! There was no indication on the menu that the pizza is spicy. I asked the server if it was supposed to be spicy and he said normally it's a little spicy from the sausage. We like spice and this was not a little spicy. My lips were burning and the inside of my boyfriend's mouth was burning. Just think they need to add some kind of notation on the menu about the spice. Food was not as tasty as usual and with the rise in prices it won't be a place we'll be frequenting again any time soon. Not sure the money is worth the product now.

Had to pick up some Target essentials in Kapolei and decided to dine in since our first take-out experience was great! Their Supreme pizza with pepperoni was delicious! Very impressive! It was a Monday...& I called in reservations. When we arrived, it wasn't busy. Nice, clean atmosphere. Hostess Zoe was very nice and helpful when we were seated and asked her about the menu. Definitely will be back to try the Mad Garlic Pizza!! Our server, Journey was very helpful with the menu and we ordered the Pizza of the Week : Chipotle BBQ which came with shredded pork, red onions, and corn. The Caesar Salad with anchovies was also good. Forgot to take pics. We also ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese since it was suggested by our server. It was a good amount of meat and quite filling. Excellent pasta & flavor. One of my favs. We met Manager Dylan (Dillon?) sorry forgot spelling. And he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We also had the Butrata Caprese appetizer and it was very refreshing! We had fun talking story and laughing while Reuben did Magic for the staff. It's a great place for a date night or large dinner party. Lots of tables. Indoor and outdoor seating is very appealing. Definitely will return again! Big Mahalos to Mad Bene Kapolei!

First time dining in there. There is plenty of free parking close by. All the staff and manager were very friendly and accommodating. They greeted us as we walked in. The restaurant was modern and clean. There were seatings indoor and outdoors. The ceilings were high which made it feel very spacious. We started with the Caesar Salad which was very good and refreshing. The rest of our order came all together. We had the Pappardelle Bolongnese Pasta. The Pasta was thick and tasty. It had a lot of meat and was very filling. We also had the Pizza of the week Chipotle BBQ with Shredded pork, red onions and corn. That BBQ sauce was killer. Great tasting Pizza. The Butrata Caprese was also excellent tasting. For dessert, we had Tiramisu which was a good way to end the night. It was light and refreshing. I'm excited to come back and try different items on the menu.

Great pizza oven the produced great tasting dough

Salad was fresh and tasty. Pizza was good - the crust was thin and flavorful. Server was nice. Outside patio was great. I really wanted this place to be great, but they just aren't clicking on all cylinders at this time. The menu stated $11 for a glass of wine but they charged us $12. The lunch special included soft drinks, but they charged us $4 for the Coke. We informed the server that we had a Marriott discount card, but they forgot to include discount on bill. My wife had a pizza with mushrooms that was delicious. If you like thin crust pizza, I give the pizza 5 stars, but unfortunately management and service was 3 stars. I'm sorry to say that, but this was our second try and things just aren't clicking.

Mad Bene is like the west side version of Brick Fire Tavern. I like that they make mostly everything in house, including the pizza dough and pasta. If you ask for ranch (they charge you extra) it's also house made! Also, if you're lucky, you'll see the BOH team stretching out dough in the open kitchen. I've been wanting to try Mad Bene for their happy hour for a while, but came for regular dinner this past weekend. The outdoor seating was enjoyable, service was great and the restaurant had a nice ambience. I would highly recommend the mushroom pasta and off-menu truffle fries! In regards to the pizza, I thought the crust/dough could have been a little less done/burnt lol I'm not the type of pizza fan that likes super brown crust. Overall I think Mad Bene is an excellent spot in Kapolei and I would go back if in the area.

Wanted to have a nice lunch with my hubby on my day off. Walked in and it was kind of empty but by the time we left, it was getting crowded. Only one server doing everything and the hostess assisting during the lunch rush. Luckily we didn't have to go anywhere so the 90 minutes lunch was okay. Tasty food! Glad they had focaccia as a side but u have to ask for it (and pay for it). I need something with my pasta. Service was slow like a slug but I don't blame the staff.

When you think of food in Hawaii there are far more seafood and Asian food restaurants than most anything else, but I did see some Mexican and Italian places as well. This is a less formal Italian place and the pizza is great. I'd consider it something closer to NY style versus a Chicago style of pizza, for what that's worth. The service here was friendly and the pizzas didn't take long. I've been here two times this trip and I do t think we waited more than 10 minutes either time for an individual pizza. They do have plenty of appetizers and other dishes such as pasta and lasagna, or pizza isn't at the top of your list. Seating can be the nicely appointed and air conditioned indoor seating or the outdoor seating. I've done both and the outside dining wasn't overly warm with it being totally covered and receiving a nice breeze. If you happen to be on the West side of the Island near Kapolei, this is a great stop and it's also very kid friendly. Enjoy!

So we just ordered the mad garlic pizza, and I'm so excited! The bartender Eulen said it was one of the house favorites. He's working on his level 2 sommelier certificate. Pizza just arrived! OMG! Come here! It was friggin' delicious! Order it with mushrooms! Wow, our other new spot. Yeah! Rachael (who wears all the hats) was kind and discussed tequila with us. Overall we had a great time and really enjoyed our drinks and pizza! We will absolutely return!

Mad Bene long time anchor tenant in the Kapolei Commons Shopping Center. Known for their delicious food and hospitality. Celebrated a coworker's birthday with a great sampling of delicious entrees. Loved the New York style pizza! The pasta entrees were prepared with great attention to detail. Delicious.

Ask the Community - Mad Bene

    Open for thanksgiving dinner?

Are the pizzas big or small?

The pizzas are cut into 6 pieces and can be shared comfortably as an entree between ~4 people if you also order an appetizer (I'd suggest the fritto misto or chopped salad).

Are they still serving the pizza with the egg on top? I don't see it on their menu, but loved it when we went there a couple of months back.

Yes. Take out flyer (sorry couldn't import my pic) all pizza available $15 for one or 2 for $25. Go to mad Bene.com or 744-7400. Enter code: Madtakeout when ordering.

Would I be able to bring my own wine? If so, what is the corkage?

    Yes, corkage fee is $25

    Do they sell gift cards?

Yes they just started too for the holidays

This is not in the main Honolulu or Waikiki area. It is in a quieter, more upscale resort section of the island, right near the Disney Aulani Resort close to Marriott's Ko Olina Beach Club. Because the restaurant is inside the Four Seasons, the setting feels very elegant and luxurious from the moment you arrive. The resort itself is beautiful, and Noe has that relaxed but high end vacation atmosphere. It is a great place for a nicer dinner, date night, anniversary, or special meal while staying in Ko Olina. Prices are definitely very expensive, but that makes sense given that it is inside the Four Seasons at Ko Olina. This is not a casual Italian restaurant price point. It is more of a luxury resort dining experience, so you are paying for the location, atmosphere, service, and quality of the meal. Brandon was our server and took great care of us. We started with the focaccia bread and whipped ricotta, which were both a nice way to begin the meal. We also ordered the hot truffle mashed potatoes as a side with our entrees, and they were rich, flavorful, and a great addition. For drinks, we had beer, wine, and a Diet Coke. For our main entrees, we ordered the Noe tagliatelle and the stuffed pasta. Both pastas were well prepared and had that handmade, upscale Italian feel you would expect from a restaurant like this. For dessert, we had the tiramisu, which was a great way to finish the meal. Overall, Noe is a beautiful, upscale Italian restaurant located inside the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina. It is expensive, but the pricing makes sense for the setting. From the moment we walked in though, the staff catered to us so well, was super attentive, quick with orders, refills, taking plates out of the way--just superb service! That deserves at least 4 stars on its own, but the food took away from that. Let me start with the mangotini cocktail. It was tasty (smooth and strong)! The food...in our group of 6, consisted of the chicken alfredo, combination seafood alfredo, veal pasta, pesto pasta (I forget what kinds specifically), steak and mushrooms, and spaghetti and grilled chicken. Our alfredo had no flavor (insert cry face). The seafood tasted like they were blanched or added as an after-thought. Our pasta tasted like it was watered down and my son took 2 bites of his chicken alfredo and didn't want any more. It was disappointing. Everyone else ate a good amount of their food though, so I'll assume it was alright and they weren't all just hungry. I might give this place another try, but honestly for the price, I might just go to Olive Garden or make some at home. We'll see.

This establishment is fairly large and have a regular seating tables area and a bar area. The bar area was pretty popping with people watching the on-going football game. (they do have tvs all over the bar so you should be able to watch in most seats. It is fairly cold in here, like I was kind of freezing and had to grab a jacket from the car. Our server was super friendly and we got our orders in: We ordered: * Brick Oven "Super" Pizza: 7/10. We ordered this without black olives because I do not like black olives. This was okay. There were many toppings but since there were so many, there were much less of each topping (which meant that you'd really only get a tiny sprinkle of like beef for example). I felt like the pizza was just mediocre. The crust was unique, a twisted shape but it just made the crust more dense and not as enjoyable to eat for me as I liked a fluffier doughy crust. I also felt that there weren't enough cheese for the amount of toppings on this pizza. * Pepperoni, Sausage, and Jalapenos Pizza: 7.2/10. My friend ordered this so I didn't really eat as much of it. It was ok, same complaints regarding the crust. I think due to it having less toppings the cheese ratio was much better this time around. * Buffalo (Hot) Wings: 9/10, my friend said the main star of the show would be the wings and he was not lying! These wings were large and meaty compared to the tiny wings you'd often get at bars and most establishments. They were fried to perfection and tossed in the chosen sauce. The buffalo was perfect and I enjoyed it with ranch. * Lemon Pepper: 8.2/10, same positives, I just don't care for the lemon pepper flavor. * Garlic Parm: 9.2/10: same positives, I love the garlicky flavor of this wing along with the cheesiness from the parm. * Chicken Alfredo Pasta: 4/10. We do NOT recommend this. The chicken quality was terrible, it was like stringy. We think it is the premade chicken meant to be shredded for pizzas recooked into the pasta. The alfredo sauce was also not very good, just tasted poorly made and overly peppered. Honestly I would totally come back for the wings and only the wings. Recommend this spot to grab some wings and watch a game with some friends!

We asked if there was outside seating as the inside was already crowded and he checked and there was a table ready for us. Our waitress came gave us menus, didnt ask for our drink order than left. She came back maybe about 5-8 mins later to take our order, not before we requested if we could get water. Fastforward, like i stated at the beginning it was crowded on the inside when we walked in, well we get our food and mid way thru realize that our drinks were never filled, no one came out to ck on us or the other tables at that matter. We ordered extra carrots and celery that never came out, at that point I was like forget it. We needed boxes and refill of water since NONE came throughout our whole dinner. I decided to go get the boxes and request water, tell me why when I walked inside, the only table that was occupied was the party that was there in the corner. The rest of the place was empty and tell me why ALL the workers were literally just standing near the bar/kitchen. they see me walking in, no one seems to think "oh we havent checked on them" they waited till I approached them and asked for a box and water. Up until me going inside I gave them grace because like I mentioned I knew they were busy. But once I walked in and seen every single staff just standing there, I was disappointed. The food was good, but lets just say, the customer service was not it. Glad I got my fixed, as I havent eaten at Brick Oven in years, it will probably years before I come back....

The menu is pretty mixed too, so you can go for breakfast or jump straight into things like pasta or a sandwich. The fish and chips were delicious! The batter was light, not too greasy or heavy, and the shoestring fries definitely hit the spot. The açaí bowl was really good too. It's made with açaí and mango sorbet and loaded with fruit--bananas, pineapple, strawberries, blueberries. Super refreshing and actually pretty filling. The lobster Benedict was the letdown. The sourdough kind of took over the whole dish, and the lobster was chewy and oddly cold. Not something I'd order again. On the plus side, the service was great--everyone was really friendly and attentive, which made the experience better overall. Definitely a convenient spot at the resort, but I'd stick to the basics next time.

I prefer this more than it being on top of an English muffin. Also, order the side of potatoes with melted cheese on top, it's hella good and somehow creamy. Don't expect traditional crispy breakfast potatoes, those are yummy too but these are better! Now I miss Hawaii !
