It didn't disappoint, we all had bowls and noodles. Pick your choice of noodles or rice, protein from chicken, pork, and beef. Then select your choice of vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, etc. Next move to the sauces and oil options. Your food is cooked and brought to your table or prepared to go. Mad wolf is one of the most authentic and fresh Mongolian bbq I've ever had. My husband and I drive about 25 minutes to eat here. Service is always excellent and the food is priced below market. They have a large variety of fresh vegetables and meats (tofu is also available). One of the main reasons I love coming back here is the amazing customer service. I don't understand the 5 star reviews for this place. Ok, food was hot, and the portion sizes are large, but that's all I can say about this place. For 20 Dollars a plate I expect more than just a plate full of cheap noodles. I even paid for extra meat and the amount provided was indistinguishable from the plates we ordered without extra meat. We ordered 4 different dishes and each one tasted exactly the same as the others. Bland. King Pao tasted the same as the teriyaki tasted the same as the mild Mongolian sauce tasted the same as the Home Style. Chicken tasted like pork, egg was hardly there, beef so thin it's see through. Veggies almost non existent. It will fill you up and it's hot. But that's it. And 85 bucks is waaaay too much for what I should have just made for 5 bucks -for all four of us- at home. Proof positive that this place is good... it's located way back in the all-but-deserted corner of a run down and confusing parking lot. Nobody would even know it was there if it weren't talked about and FANTASTIC! It's been there over 30 years for a reason, for sure. If you have never been to a Mongolian Barbecue place, you gotta, especially if you are hungry. Go down the line and pick your meat, rice and/or noodles, all sorts of fresh veggies, variety of sauces... you pick it all, perfect to your liking. Once selections are made, the food is all cooked up right in front of you on a huge grill. Huge portions, fresh and delicious! So, I did a deep dive into "Mongolian Barbecue" and found out that it is not even a "Mongolian" it is Taiwanese... and not sure where they even get the "barbecue" from since it is not quite barbecued exactly. But yet for years we've all just accepted it as such and not questioned it. You see the words "Mongolian Barbecue" and you know what you are getting! We have friends that come from all over the place wanting to eat at Mad Wolf, and we don't blame them one bit, it is one of the best I've ever been to. Service is friendly and helpful, prices are comparable, and the atmosphere is casual, clean, and relaxing. Make sure you add some of the sides to your meal; chicken eggrolls are excellent as are the wontons (so crispy and perfect). We also like to get the pocket biscuit, which is exactly what it sounds like... a biscuit type "roll" with an air pocket, if you take a bite then you have an opening to cram some of the yummy stir-fry inside, mmmmm! Appetizers run just a couple bucks, but are delish. We will 100% support this place forever. You need to add it to your places you frequent if you haven't already. Trust me. Simple. Good. Affordable. The new owners have done a great job with the place and are always very friendly and helpful. The food continues to be fantastic (although I do miss the days when you could serve yourself, but I guess Covid put an end to all that) and is always fresh. Not sure when the change took place but I suspect it was during the pandemic? For 30 years, this Mongolian BBQ place was buffet style, there was option for "all you can eat" that came with egg roll, soup, and biscuit. Walking in last night, I was not sure that I like the new changes. Granted, having the staff put together your bowl seems more sanitary (think similar to poke bowl place, Blaze pizza, or Subway), but gone is the fun of mixing your own sauce concoction, etc. Now each adult order is about $15 that comprises of one bowl of meat/veggies. This comes with either noodle or rice. Everything else is a side for purchase. We ate in, but food came in plastic to-go containers and disposable utensils. I guess it's good since we did have left overs? But it's just a bit awkward, in my opinion. Food is tasty and hot off the big griddle. But since I wasn't able to control the sauce, I would say it was a bit salty and not enough spice. Not sure I would come back, as the whole thing has become one big meat and veggie chow mein experience. read more

The hot pockets of 2 are so delicious you really only need one of sharing. Also the cream cheese wontons are delicious but break them open as to not burn your tongue. Fun fact, Mongolian food originated in Taiwan in the 1950's. This place does not serve authentic Mongolian food. It is stir fried flavorless, aka white people cooking (sorry it is what it is). I am not quite sure what the hype is about this place, & why everyone loves it so much. I was excited to give this place a try because I'm always in the mood for any type of asian foods. I guess I'm behind the times because I have never tried Mongolian BBQ before, nope not even the mall kind you see everywhere. I really had no idea what to expect? I didn't realize the set up is sorta like shabu shabu or hot pot buffet places where you go up & load your plate with veggies/fillings. We weren't starving so we didn't go for the ayce option even though its clearly a better deal. My first impressions was that the meat seemed very limited. Also the veggie options were so boring & plain. I guess I'm so used to shabu shabu places were there's endless variety lol. I ended up getting chicken for the protein. I also was a bit confused that you add the noodles yourself, for some reason I thought that they added them when they were cooking everything? If you don't add the noodles, you'll just end up with veggies & protein. I tried the spicy sauce option. The best part of coming here was watching the cooks grill the food on the griddle. When my fiancé asks me 'what do you think of the food?' & I reply IDK (trying to give it a chance). I was hoping the flavor would emerge out of somewhere but it surely sent me on a trip to bland town. There was absolutely no spice at all. Indomie noodles have more flavor than here. What I had literally tasted like salt & that's it! So sad because when we walked in, the restaurant seemed to smell good. This was the most disappointing, most boring dish I have ever tried! My boyfriend and I tried this place for the first time upon friends recommendation. We were looking forward to the unlimited but I guess they no longer offer that. However we still enjoyed our orders. The employees were very kind and ensure you're happy with your order. Inside eating space was very open, lots of tables! As far as the food alone I'd give it a 4/5, it's very good however doesn't beat my #1 favorite Mongolian place. I think it had to do with the ingredients not being as fresh, noodles felt a day old or maybe that's how it's intended to be texture wise but not sure, still was able to enjoy it, nothing that could exactly ruin it! Although if you're in the area I definitely recommend giving this place a shot! I would still come back, yum!! read more

This place is very underrated! You can count on personable customer service here! The food is always cooked fresh. You have to try the bread ! It's so warm and makes a great pair with the noodles. They also serve beer and it is a very chill place. They have good music in the background playing just soft enough to hear and not loud enough where you can't hear one another speak.
