Went here to have an acrylic nail repaired. The acrylic cracked horizontally in the middle but did…read morenot break through to the skin so I wanted to have it repaired. I had a unique pink and white acrylic which not many people do so I asked them to just remove the cracked acrylic and put a regular acrylic nail with a standard color and I understood it would not match. Well I did not get that. First off the person used the drill with the fine point to clean my nail bed to the point I was bleeding. I just had my nails done five days ago so my nail beds were in good shape and they should never be cleaned to the point they are bleeding! She never apologized, acknowledged her error or put any antiseptic on the cut. I had to ask for some alcohol to stop the bleeding. She kept telling me I had a tip on my nail and I told her no it was all acrylic, just pink and white. She refused to understand. She then used some sort of clear gel build up solution to attempt to match my existing pink and white nails even after I again told her I was alright having a standard non-matching colored acrylic nail. I gave up trying to communicate with her. At least the nail won't break until I get home from vacation and go to my regular nail tech. Also while I was waiting for my service I was watching the lead guy do acrylic nails on someone. She complained that he was doing them too short. She said one of them was shorter than her finger! He laughed when she said this. I looked at her hands and they were all different lengths. She also kept complaining that it was getting too hot when he was thinning out the acrylic. You could tell the lady was disgusted.

For years, I used a plastic gold loyalty card they gave me. Despite regular visits, it never amounted to any $$ off, which seemed odd, but they kept telling me I was very close to a reward. Earlier this year, I tried to give the card, and the employee said it no longer worked, but I could give my phone # and that would credit the same way with all my points intact. that Today, I gave my phone number again and asked for my status because I still hadn't received a reward. They informed me that my only point total was from that same day's spending. They could see prior visits, but they wouldn't honor them, and some unspecified change had invalidated all of the customers' prior spending with the former so-called "loyalty" card I diligently brought in with me every time. Their prices are higher than other neighborhood offerings anyway. And they never give any promo discounts to acknowledge appreciation towards their customers or entice you in. As someone who tries to be mindful of my spending, it still seemed worth coming because any incremental spend would, I was told, add up to some reward later on. Well, so much for that! Pity all the other poor souls blindly being told they're racking up loyalty points while it's all really a sham. Be wary unless you can just spend with abandon with no reward for loyalty in return.

Update: this has become every girl's worst hair nightmare. Turns out, Julie did not just botch my…read morehighlights at Oscar Blandi. She completely destroyed my hair. It's been falling out in clumps since I left her chair. I paid $450 for the highlights and have since spent another $300 on products and treatments trying to stop the hair loss and make what's left look halfway normal. That is $750 to walk out with hair that breaks off in my hands, and it isn't over. I still have to pay to have the damaged length cut off and keep paying for treatments and products after that to try to bring my hair back. Even when all of that is done, I will be left with short hair and the horrible "highlights" Julie put in. I went to another salon hoping the color at least could be fixed. The stylist told me the damage was consistent with peroxide misuse, and that my hair is too damaged right now to be processed again. The earliest any colorist will safely touch it is six months from now, and only if I can get the condition back through ongoing products and treatments. Until then, I am stuck with the highlights Julie put in, through the summer and every work event I have coming up. Humiliating. As bad as my photos may be, the reality is WORSE! The highlights in the front are so bad that even when I put my hair up in a ponytail you can see them--I'm embarrassed to post a photo because it's impossible to show without my face being in it. I walked into Julie's chair with the healthiest hair of my life. I'll be dealing with the consequences of her poor work for the rest of the year. The complete silence from the salon, no apology, no accountability, no care, has been almost as upsetting as the damage itself. I hope this review at least saves someone else from going through the same experience.

Made appt for my daughter to get color and they ended up booking color and cut because I had that…read moreservice. When I called that I was running late I learned about the mistake and told them it was only a color. Dropped off my daughter who was still given a haircut in the confusion. But thats not the problem - the issue is that the color was awful and the haircut was so extreme, took off enormous length off her hair ... many many inches. We debated getting it fixed but she was afraid they would mess it up more. Almost $700 later (with gratuity) we are now going to another salon to fix this! Sadly I was unavailable to be there that day but have no clue why the stylist cut off so much hair after being told she didnt want to lose length and had this ridiculously awful streaky color!
