It had a really good flavor and was my favorite of the two. The green sauce was a little too spicy for me, and I just enjoyed the flavor of the orange/red sauce more. I also really enjoyed the rice! It was flavorful and tasty. It was $3 for a side and the portion was pretty small for the price, but I'd still say it was good. Overall, I'd come back, but next time I'd skip the chicken fajita taco and stick with the pastor.

Compared to the weekends, their schedule was a lot more open. On the weekends it can be nearly impossible to get a spot unless it's a few weeks in advance. We had a reservation at 8 am right when they opened, and when we walked in, we were seated immediately. The place looks like a modern twist on the old-school diners your grandparents love. There's also an upstairs and downstairs patio. Plenty of space! We were sat at one of the two-person tables. To start, I ordered their house drip coffee while my girlfriend got their "Lil Remi," an iced cappuccino with salted caramel. The black coffee was excellent and flavorful, while my girlfriend thought her Lil Remi was like a milkier shaken espresso that she really liked. From their starters, we ordered their Blueberry Lemon Pop Tart to share. I am a sucker for a homemade Pop Tart, and the jam on the inside was extremely fresh, and the icing and crust of the Pop Tart itself was sturdy and full of flavor. A perfect pancake to her. A perfect pancake to me because she couldn't finish it, so I took it to go and ate the last few bites immediately after dropping her off at the airport. For being an upscale diner in the prime area of Austin, I knew Paperboy was going to be pricey, but I honestly thought that it would crack $100 before tip between the two of us. I was very happy to see it was not even close to that and cost us about $80 with tip. To me, that felt fair for Austin, and I would pay that price any day of the week for a breakfast like we had. My family has raved about Madras Dhaba, telling me how delicious the food is, so when I visited Austin recently, it was one of my first stops...and I was wowed! The food was fresh and bursting with flavor, starting with samosas to the perfectly-spiced vindaloo (which I had with goat meat; the first time I've ever had goat meat, but it won't be the last), and the service was great! Wish I lived closer, but since I don't, I will eat at Madras Dhaba whenever I visit. If I lived in the area, I would love to have them cater a gathering! I'm hooked! read more

I recently visited Madras Daba, a food truck I initially thought specialized in South Indian cuisine. However, the menu was more generalized Indian fare. When we asked the owner, he explained that they had previously offered South Indian dishes but switched to a more standard menu due to lower demand. Despite this, the food was enjoyable. My favorite vada pav in the world is from a small shop in Bandra called Subash Vada Pav - not one…read moreof the noteworthy landmarks of Bombay like Ashok, but in my experience the most satisfying. My second favorite might now be the one at Pav Bhaji Express, an unassuming food truck right along I-35. They offer a thecha Vada pav, which uses thecha in lieu of classic pudina hari chutney. Thecha is a classic Maharashtran condiment made from pulverising hari mirchi and spices. I've seen it more commonly as a side dish with other sabzis in Maharashtran ghar ka khana, but it's an excellent topping for Vada pav! I love the slight bitterness that the thecha adds to the sandwich. The only cure for an afternoon this hot was a cup of masala chai on the side. Each taco had a paratha base packed with a generous amount of filling with the protein, rice, avocado and cucumber toppings and delicious one-of-a-kind sauces that are unique to this food truck. The result is that every taco is packed with bomb flavors and tastes different. The owner is a down-to-earth guy, always greetings everyone with a smile and being friendly. He really should try out for MasterChef as his ability to create mouthwatering and flavorful fusion dishes is quite outstanding. There's a few picnic benches next to the food truck and the area is well shaded with trees. Parking spots are available in the same lot as well.

The sambar was thick and had vegetables in it. My friend got set dosa, which came with 4 small dosas. I tried it and it tasted like home. The service was fast. The outside ambiance was good!

They served 3 large kofta balls and plenty of gravy. All bowls come with rice. I can't believe they only charge $12 for this meal that can easily fill you up and satisfy. We also ordered the paneer fried rice ($10) and Gobi Manchurian. The quantities were similarly generous, preparations tasted fresh and flavorful, and prices were unbelievably reasonable. I might be addicted to this place already and can't wait to try other items, including their dosas.

There were no clear indication on the prices and spice level nor were we informed or asked about the spice level My order: Veg Momo Chilli Momo The Chilli Momo (as the name suggested) was extremely spicy , at the dangerous level, so they should have let us know. I did love the dish other than the spice levels! the side sauces were spicy too. Having a veg momo on the other hand was making me feel better. I might have to go prepared the next time and ask more probing questions. It is not nice to not display the price along with the menu. You will be only loosing customers with this kind of experience!

They come nicely packaged too with two yummy sauces :) I definitely want to try everything else. Not too much to comment on since it is a food truck and I ordered one item - but I definitely want to order more! There are a few tables outside for sitting.
