Wanted to like this place because it looked great but unfortunately my experience was not the best. TL;DR: Good food, okay drinks, lots of options, very rushed. Met up with a friend here, luckily we didn't wait long but it looks like you can usually expect a long wait time to be seated. My food was decent, and the place looks cute but it was very crowded (given it was a weekend and peak busy time). We spoke with the manager at the end about our experience. I get that they are trying to get all parties seated, but there was not a need for us to be entirely rushed the entire time. Especially while eating... I would recommend going during off peak times if you can or maybe trying elsewhere if you don't want to be in a hurry. read more

The one breakfast sandwich was good, just the potatoes need a bit more salt and the meat was a bit dry but the sauce on the side makes up for it. The pistachio waffle is just a regular waffle with food coloring topped with pistachios and pistachio ice cream which gives it that pistachio look and taste. read more

It was our first time coming here . Pictures on yelp look great and the almost 5 stars is what brought us in. I was very disappointed . We walked in , to a hostess that wasn't the most welcoming . There was no wait so we got a table right away. 10 minutes pass by and we haven't seen our waiter or someone at least to tell us we would be helped . I was considering walking out , and I should have followed my gut Instict but we stayed . Finally a waiter came to take our order ( almost a 15 min wait ) . I decided to get the breakfast with the 2 eggs bacon , hashbrowns , and toast and a pancake . My husband got the waffles . For drinks we got 2 coffees and a orange juice . Let's start with the coffee, it tasted bitter and old not even sugar was able to give it a decent flavor . For my breakfast the hashbrowns were to salty but the eggs needed flavor. Also the eggs were soft but part of it seemed hard . The toast was extremely dry . Pancake was ok . My husband said waffles were ok , nothing special . This restaurant is 100% hyped up . I don't plan to come back or recommend it . read more

Stopped by Madres Brunch after wanting to stop by for months. We are sooo glad we did. We got the Pastor Omelette & the Birria Chilaquiles and as couldn't stop taking from each others plates because both were so good. I got the Mazapan Latte & I would definitely get that again and again. Our server, Jorge, is the best. He made sure we had everything we needed and were happy with our meal. We wish we had more room to eat because everything else looked sooo good too. We can't wait to be back and we can't wait for Jorge to serve us again! read more

The location is super random. It looks like it used to be one of those burger joints. The decor is definitely for people taking selfies for the gram ... if you're into that. Food... disappointing. Drinks even more so. For the $$ you're just paying for the photos imo. read more

Service was great, didn't have to wait long to be sat down -- didn't have to wait long for our food also. got the coffee flight. that was great, also got the madres chilaquiles, birria was very dry the consistency after chewing was like powder -- you can tell the chips are bought not house made , pancakes come alone if you wanna add eggs it's $2.50 per egg and if you want toast or avacado it's also $2.50 they have a B rating which is hidden and not out in the store front read more

I made reservations through yelp. However it does not allow you to make them unless you're within 5 miles. Although the wait time seems a bit much it goes by quicker thank you think. And they also tell we may call you before which they definitely did. We were seating and our order was taken. We already know what we wanted and decided to share since the plates looked good. Ok I will say I think this place is know for the they're drinks, presentation, and how good everything looks. My friends got the flight of coffee which I've never seen anywhere else and I got the mimosa flight of course. Cassandra attended us and everything came out pretty quick! Service was great the food was good but be warned you will get major food coma Overall was really impressed with the food and service! read more

Came here with the family for our Sunday brunch day. The service was fast, the food was okay! I feel like we order things on the menu that looked differently but the taste was kind of bland. The journey pancakes weren't what I thought they would be, when bitting into them all I could taste was the red food coloring. The pistachio waffle was pretty good, but again it was very bland. We also ordered some mimosa flights those are pretty good. Even tho I was NOT WOWED!! I will be back I saw some things on the menu I think would be worth trying. read more

Located off Lakewood Bl in Bellflower. Parking is small and tight and fills up fast. The place indoors is small and there is outdoor tables under a tent. This place is opened only from 7:30am- 2:30pm M-F and only on Sat and Sun it's opened till 4pm. Service is good and the staff is friendly. Weekends are very busy we got here around 11 and wait time was a hour wait. Even on a raining day crowds were still coming. They have a good amount of breakfast choices i got the Nutella French toast it was good and I'd get it again. Overall a good experience here despite of the wait and parking. I recommend this place for brunch. read more

The service here was hands down AMAZING. Coming from someone who worked in service for many years I was extremely impressed. On a Sunday morning we had very little wait time (almost none) by using the "wait list" option on yelp. I had my dog and they were able to accommodate us with outdoor seating. Chilaquiles portion was large I could have easily shared with my partner, he got the alpastor omlete which he enjoyed. This is a nice family orientated brunch, doesn't appear to be the sloppy brunch location. (If you know what i mean) The only con was the pumpkin spice coffee. It tasted like diabetes in a cup. Overall great experience, I reccomened. read more

Walked with my friends and was told wait time was 15 minutes, they take your cell number and text you when your table is ready - seated in 10...that's a good start. Friendly wait staff, order came out in a reasonable time but the food was disappointing. I had the waffle "On Fire", the best thing about this waffle was the show. I wanted to like it, but I feel I could make a better waffle at home for far less money. That being said..all of the food was okay, but I go out to eat good food. Food: delicious! 5 Ambiance: fun! 5 Sound: Loud music! 3 Service: not good. 2 After drooling over all the pics and hearing from my sis how good this place was, we couldn't wait to try it since we were in the area. It was 2 hours before closing. As we walked up to the front, I asked the hostess if we could sit inside since it was so hot. Without a beat or even looking inside, she said no, there weren't any clean tables...? Not asking if we wanted to wait or anything... but off she went, so I guess we were following her... to a corner table in the sun... IN THE SUN... it was 95°... um... no... I asked if we could sit in the shade... there were a few open tables. I finally just pointed at a spot by the Madres sign and with hesitation, she said fine, sat us down and walked away. Pft. I asked the server about a few items and what came with it and he just didn't seem to know. I eventually decided on the Birria Benedict since he said it came with hollandaise sauce and hashbrowns on the side. Nowhere on the menu does it say it came with refried whole pinto beans under the Birria . But after looking at some pics I saw it and asked to have them leave them out. They did not. Also, to my dismay, it came with a salad with no dressing and not hashbrowns and NO hollandaise sauce!! UGH. Mama was hungry!! I brought it to server's attention... he's like... "oh... let me check with the kitchen." He never did nor did he mention it to us again. After awhile, I was starving so I started just picking them off the beans and it filled a whole corner of the plate! What a waste of time. If the food wasn't so tasty, I would have made more of a fuss. Even if he was new, which I don't think he was, we came way after brunch, I'm sure he served many of these before we got there and if he bothered to look down at the food, he'd know what it came with! Annoying that he gave me such incorrect information. We also got the Journey strawberry pancakes which were delicious... wish it came with more sauce but we inhaled it, nonetheless! My 4 year old loved this! We often found ourselves thirsty with no water and a few servers standing around with the manager, so I finally just got up and asked them for more water. Annoyed with this as well. Anyway, I'd leave 3.5 stars, but I'll round up. read more

Great service and the food was pretty good! I came on a busy Sunday and was seated outside, it wasn't too noisy and the seating was nice. I had the mole chilaquiles which was just ok to me, their mole tasted like bbq sauce mixed with mole to me lol. Just so you know, there is no restroom available. We shared a few drinks, and my fav' was the strawberry matcha! The banana matcha was good too, but the strawberry one really stood out. The coconut matcha was a bit plain for my taste. The lemonade was very sour, but in a good way! All the croffles were tasty, or as my 9-year-old says, "bussin"! Briscoff croffle though! There were a decent amount of tables inside. We even got a table with outlets for our laptops. You seat yourself. I didn't see staff cleaning the whole time we were there. The staff here seem to be the cool type. As a customer I feel like my being there was interrupting their conversation. My niece ordered a Latte ($5.50) with the Cold Foam ($1.50) and I ordered the Oat Based Spanish ($7) with the Cold Foam ($1.50). They really pushed the cold foam here. We also ordered a Pistachio Croissant ($??) and a Kouign Amann ($??). Their pastry case can you better signage and clear pricing labeled. We both enjoyed our lattes for the most part. The croissant was pretty but it wasn't a tasty fluffy flakey croissant. It was a bit dense. Also neither pastries were heated up. The kouign amann was the most disappointing as we took a bite and it was SOUR. Not feeling it. Neither of us liked it and we tossed it. I think they put passionfruit in the filling and it ruined the whole thing. Had it been labelled we would have selected a different pastry. Before I left I also ordered a Matcha ($7.25) for the road... WARNING... For some reason they put maple and cinnamon in their matcha. I should have been more clear with which one I was ordering. It wasn't like toss-it awful but it was like mhmm, would have liked it better without the maple and cinnamon. Ohh and I interacted with a different staff, but they were also trying to push the cold foam. I already tried it, I don't need any more cold foam. I like the spanish latte, not too excited for the pastries, and staying away from the matcha. The hanging out aspect with my niece was the best thing about my visit.

When I told Matthew at the counter it was really important the one drink be as sugar free as possible due to my friend being diabetic, he warned us there was sugar in the foam, but he would go as light as possible. His energy, he had a smile on his face, was knowledgeable about the menu, Matthew was everything you'd want in a staff member. We recently visited Madres Brunch in Bellflower, we joined the waitlist at 11:30 am arrived and checked in at 12:30pm, but unfortunately, we didn't get seated until 1:30 pm. This long wait was quite frustrating, especially since there wasn't enough covered seating in the waiting area, making it uncomfortable on a hot day. Despite the delayed seating, the staff at Madres Brunch were friendly and accommodating once seated. They made an effort to ensure we were comfortable and attended to our needs throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the food at Madres Brunch fell short of expectations. While the portions were generous and filling, the taste and quality were subpar. The Madres Chilaquiles, which we ordered to share, lacked the desired flavors and could have been much better. The On Fire waffles, though visually appealing upon arrival, were disappointingly dry even with the small scoop of ice cream. The overall dining experience left much to be desired, particularly when compared to other establishments offering similar prices and options. One highlight of the meal was the flight of mimosas, which was enjoyable for sharing with the table. However, it's worth noting that the flight only included three mimosas, which may be insufficient for larger groups or those looking to sample a wider variety. If there's one positive aspect to highlight, it would be the vibes and atmosphere of Madres Brunch. The restaurant exudes a trendy ambiance that adds to the overall experience. However, I would caution potential visitors to manage their expectations primarily when it comes to the food. Taking everything into account, I can only give Madres Brunch a 2 out of 5 star rating. I arrived with a large group and checked in on Yelp at 11 am. I also checked in person at 11:50 and was told the wait would be under an hour. Despite being 4th in line, we waited over an hour due to our party size of 8. After waiting outside for an hour, I inquired with the hostess about the wait time. She showed me her tablet, indicating our party was first on the list, but others were seated before us. We were informed that we had to wait for a party of 10 to finish, even though they had just been seated. Despite available tables next to each other, they couldn't get them connected initially. After 20 minutes, the manager agreed to connect them. The wait for food was an additional half hour. Not to mention, FLIES SWARMING THE RESTAURANT. Our waitress didn't provide water until I asked and didn't check on us. The cold food, overpowering wall fans, and a $50+ gratuity charge for minimal service were disappointing. I discovered Madres Bruch on Yelp as one of the best places serving Chilaquiles (our favorite), aside from being a top romantic destination for brunch. The ambiance was truly inspiring. We were seated next to the southwest-facing windows, which provided us with a spirited view. We ordered the chilaquiles rojos, which were accompanied by mazapan. They were fresh and well seasoned with sauce dressing, a wonderful way to begin our meal. Later, we tried madres chilaquiles with eggs benedict on the side, which we shared. I wasn't particularly fond of the madres chilaquiles, and the veggies accompanying the eggs benedict were slightly not my fav. Everything else was perfect. It seems that their menu may vary seasonally, as what we saw online slightly didnt match what we were served, but I'm confident you'll always find something you'll enjoy. The wilma pancakes are delicious, covered in fruity pebbles and lechera and while on the sweet side already the pancakes themselves are not too sweet, so taking it slow and a balance with other plates made it more palatable and easier to eat. Service is good as well we showed up a bit after a rush hour and with about a 25 minute wait time we were serviced within that time and after ordering we did not have to wait too long to receive our food. Our server Tadeo Martinez came and checked in on us to make sure everything was fine and and patient while taking our order despite a bit of a rush, and also provided recommendations to some of the coffees they offer, my favorite being the pistachio coffee. The food was delicious however I did get the chilaquiles verdes with steak, and they were a little dry so I had to ask for more salsa and the steak could of had more flavor but for $7 more the portion size for steak was a little smaller than I thought it would be.
