I made reservations through yelp. However it does not allow you to make them unless you're within 5 miles. Although the wait time seems a bit much it goes by quicker thank you think. And they also tell we may call you before which they definitely did. We were seating and our order was taken. We already know what we wanted and decided to share since the plates looked good. Ok I will say I think this place is know for the they're drinks, presentation, and how good everything looks. My friends got the flight of coffee which I've never seen anywhere else and I got the mimosa flight of course. Cassandra attended us and everything came out pretty quick! Service was great the food was good but be warned you will get major food coma Overall was really impressed with the food and service! read more

First timer here, and let me just say, I did not imagine the portion sizes being so big! It's a great thing, and also a bit of a challenge. I ordered The Journey since I love everything strawberry, and I will say it was pretty sweet, so it's perfect if you have a sweet tooth! I ordered a side of sausage links because I needed something salty/savory to go with the sweetness of the strawberry pancakes. It was a stack of three pancakes and I got through about half, and I could not finish the rest. I would say it's something worth splitting with a friend even! The music was good, but sometimes a little too loud when trying to talk to the person across from you. We went on a Friday morning so it was not as crowded, but it is a small parking lot and we got lucky that one person was leaving as we were making our way around the building. The service was decent, but I think my favorite part was the food runner who brought out my plate and asked if I wanted to record what was about to happen, and I didn't know what was going to happen, but it was very mindful of him to have asked! Came here with the family for our Sunday brunch day. The service was fast, the food was okay! I feel like we order things on the menu that looked differently but the taste was kind of bland. The journey pancakes weren't what I thought they would be, when bitting into them all I could taste was the red food coloring. The pistachio waffle was pretty good, but again it was very bland. We also ordered some mimosa flights those are pretty good. Even tho I was NOT WOWED!! I will be back I saw some things on the menu I think would be worth trying. read more

My husband and I came for brunch. Was seated quick and Jorge our server came right away. We both ordered the green chilaquiles with an extra egg. Jorge made sure they weren't overcooked and they came out great! Hazelnut coffee was very delicious and they serve bottle Coke!! Which we know has the best taste than a can! The music is great! The service here was hands down AMAZING. Coming from someone who worked in service for many years I was extremely impressed. On a Sunday morning we had very little wait time (almost none) by using the "wait list" option on yelp. I had my dog and they were able to accommodate us with outdoor seating. Chilaquiles portion was large I could have easily shared with my partner, he got the alpastor omlete which he enjoyed. This is a nice family orientated brunch, doesn't appear to be the sloppy brunch location. (If you know what i mean) The only con was the pumpkin spice coffee. It tasted like diabetes in a cup. Located off Lakewood Bl in Bellflower. Parking is small and tight and fills up fast. The place indoors is small and there is outdoor tables under a tent. This place is opened only from 7:30am- 2:30pm M-F and only on Sat and Sun it's opened till 4pm. Service is good and the staff is friendly. Weekends are very busy we got here around 11 and wait time was a hour wait. Even on a raining day crowds were still coming. They have a good amount of breakfast choices i got the Nutella French toast it was good and I'd get it again. Overall a good experience here despite of the wait and parking. I recommend this place for brunch. read more

Walked with my friends and was told wait time was 15 minutes, they take your cell number and text you when your table is ready - seated in 10...that's a good start. Friendly wait staff, order came out in a reasonable time but the food was disappointing. I had the waffle "On Fire", the best thing about this waffle was the show. I wanted to like it, but I feel I could make a better waffle at home for far less money. That being said..all of the food was okay, but I go out to eat good food. Food: delicious! 5 Ambiance: fun! 5 Sound: Loud music! 3 Service: not good. 2 After drooling over all the pics and hearing from my sis how good this place was, we couldn't wait to try it since we were in the area. It was 2 hours before closing. As we walked up to the front, I asked the hostess if we could sit inside since it was so hot. Without a beat or even looking inside, she said no, there weren't any clean tables...? Not asking if we wanted to wait or anything... but off she went, so I guess we were following her... to a corner table in the sun... IN THE SUN... it was 95°... um... no... I asked if we could sit in the shade... there were a few open tables. I finally just pointed at a spot by the Madres sign and with hesitation, she said fine, sat us down and walked away. Pft. I asked the server about a few items and what came with it and he just didn't seem to know. I eventually decided on the Birria Benedict since he said it came with hollandaise sauce and hashbrowns on the side. Nowhere on the menu does it say it came with refried whole pinto beans under the Birria . But after looking at some pics I saw it and asked to have them leave them out. They did not. Also, to my dismay, it came with a salad with no dressing and not hashbrowns and NO hollandaise sauce!! UGH. Mama was hungry!! I brought it to server's attention... he's like... "oh... let me check with the kitchen." He never did nor did he mention it to us again. After awhile, I was starving so I started just picking them off the beans and it filled a whole corner of the plate! What a waste of time. If the food wasn't so tasty, I would have made more of a fuss. Even if he was new, which I don't think he was, we came way after brunch, I'm sure he served many of these before we got there and if he bothered to look down at the food, he'd know what it came with! Annoying that he gave me such incorrect information. We also got the Journey strawberry pancakes which were delicious... wish it came with more sauce but we inhaled it, nonetheless! My 4 year old loved this! We often found ourselves thirsty with no water and a few servers standing around with the manager, so I finally just got up and asked them for more water. Annoyed with this as well. Anyway, I'd leave 3.5 stars, but I'll round up. read more

Food was super mid. However, customer service was great. Friend found a dead small bug on the napkin that was rolled up with the utensils. Didn't think much of it at the time. The food was overall great, the pastor was missing a little flavor but overall the birria was surprisingly really tasty , the rainbow pancakes are big enough for 3 people . Fernando was our server he was speedy & on top of it appreciate his service. The restaurant had great music playing & their plant decorations were nice nothing too fancy. My sister and I decided to check out brunch at Madres and was absolutely mouth watering. Our server Coleen was very patient, personable and kind. She offered different recommendations and was very knowledgeable of the menu. Coleen was very attentative and made us feel right at home. The food was delicious and was presented quickly. I loved the fact that Coleen was consistently checking in on us throughout our dining experience and was extremely impressionable. I recommend coming in early because it can get pretty busy. The food was okay. The service was great. However, there's a funny smell on the "patio" area. I wasn't quite able to enjoy my meal or time there in general because of the smell. It was like the smell of dirty fishy cloth on the table & in the air. It also gets a little chilly in the patio & the inside gets crowded so we made our visit quick. We got Chilaquiles Verdes & Chilaquiles Rojos. They both had a light layer of black beans at the bottom, & topped with egg, drizzled sour cream, Mexican cheese, purple onion, & a small scoop of avocado spread. Neither of the chilaquiles were spicy. What didn't do it for me was the chilaquiles being on the soggy side. We will give it another try & order something different as well as sit in the inside. read more

Cool new spot found it during my time off work. Went during the week however it was busy. Food was good takes a bit long but they are making fresh dishes all coming out nice and hot. They play music while eating it's a nice jumping place hood energy plenty of outside seating some indoor seating as well if you don't want to deal with the flies outside. I ordered the biggest San which in the menu was good but different than I expected. We also ordered the salmon avocado and the madres chilaquiles. All of our plates were good a bit of a new twist on it. Over all good find I will be back for some more chilaquiles. Parking was easy they have a lot and there is some street parking. read more

We recently visited Madres Brunch in Bellflower, we joined the waitlist at 11:30 am arrived and checked in at 12:30pm, but unfortunately, we didn't get seated until 1:30 pm. This long wait was quite frustrating, especially since there wasn't enough covered seating in the waiting area, making it uncomfortable on a hot day. Despite the delayed seating, the staff at Madres Brunch were friendly and accommodating once seated. They made an effort to ensure we were comfortable and attended to our needs throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the food at Madres Brunch fell short of expectations. While the portions were generous and filling, the taste and quality were subpar. The Madres Chilaquiles, which we ordered to share, lacked the desired flavors and could have been much better. The On Fire waffles, though visually appealing upon arrival, were disappointingly dry even with the small scoop of ice cream. The overall dining experience left much to be desired, particularly when compared to other establishments offering similar prices and options. One highlight of the meal was the flight of mimosas, which was enjoyable for sharing with the table. However, it's worth noting that the flight only included three mimosas, which may be insufficient for larger groups or those looking to sample a wider variety. If there's one positive aspect to highlight, it would be the vibes and atmosphere of Madres Brunch. The restaurant exudes a trendy ambiance that adds to the overall experience. I arrived with a large group and checked in on Yelp at 11 am. I also checked in person at 11:50 and was told the wait would be under an hour. Despite being 4th in line, we waited over an hour due to our party size of 8. After waiting outside for an hour, I inquired with the hostess about the wait time. She showed me her tablet, indicating our party was first on the list, but others were seated before us. We were informed that we had to wait for a party of 10 to finish, even though they had just been seated. Despite available tables next to each other, they couldn't get them connected initially. After 20 minutes, the manager agreed to connect them. The wait for food was an additional half hour. Not to mention, FLIES SWARMING THE RESTAURANT. Our waitress didn't provide water until I asked and didn't check on us. The cold food, overpowering wall fans, and a $50+ gratuity charge for minimal service were disappointing. My husband and I visited this spot for breakfast on Wednesday after our busy schedules had kept us apart during our anniversary, preventing us from having dinner together. I discovered Madres Bruch on Yelp as one of the best places serving Chilaquiles (our favorite), aside from being a top romantic destination for brunch. The ambiance was truly inspiring. We were seated next to the southwest-facing windows, which provided us with a spirited view. We ordered the chilaquiles rojos, which were accompanied by mazapan. They were fresh and well seasoned with sauce dressing, a wonderful way to begin our meal. Later, we tried madres chilaquiles with eggs benedict on the side, which we shared. I wasn't particularly fond of the madres chilaquiles, and the veggies accompanying the eggs benedict were slightly not my fav. Everything else was perfect. It seems that their menu may vary seasonally, as what we saw online slightly didnt match what we were served, but I'm confident you'll always find something you'll enjoy. The birria eggs Benedict was delicious, it was not overly wet to soak into the bread and the birria had a nice flavor and not too salty. The wilma pancakes are delicious, covered in fruity pebbles and lechera and while on the sweet side already the pancakes themselves are not too sweet, so taking it slow and a balance with other plates made it more palatable and easier to eat. Service is good as well we showed up a bit after a rush hour and with about a 25 minute wait time we were serviced within that time and after ordering we did not have to wait too long to receive our food. Our server Tadeo Martinez came and checked in on us to make sure everything was fine and and patient while taking our order despite a bit of a rush, and also provided recommendations to some of the coffees they offer, my favorite being the pistachio coffee. I frequent Madre's Brunch often and typically enjoy my time here. However, my most recent visit--on my birthday, no less--was disappointing due to the service. Our server, Dominique, was not welcoming and seemed rushed despite the restaurant being slow. Her demeanor was serious and unapproachable throughout our entire visit. When my mom realized she had forgotten to request decaf coffee and apologized for the oversight, Dominique yanked the coffee from her hand without saying a word--no "It's okay" or "We'll take care of it." Later, when my wife quietly tried to ask for candles to celebrate my birthday, Dominique cut her off loudly, saying, "No, no, we don't do candles here," completely disregarding my wife's attempt to keep it low-key. The food was delicious however I did get the chilaquiles verdes with steak, and they were a little dry so I had to ask for more salsa and the steak could of had more flavor but for $7 more the portion size for steak was a little smaller than I thought it would be. The mimosa flight was delicious and super cute, highly recommend it. Oh and the horchata was sooooo fire! Never had better horchata hahaha. So, I went to Madre's Brunch, and let me tell you, it was like a big party in there! The food menu had a little something for everyone, which was cool. I tried this horchata latte and oh my goodness, it was seriously delicious! I gotta be honest though, the Madres Chilaquiles were just okay, not the best I've ever had. Now, the One birria sandwich was huge, like seriously gigantic. The only thing was, there was maybe too much bread compared to the sandwich stuff, you know what I mean? They had this Michelada flight thing too, which was alright, but I kind of wished there was more of the Michelada mix in each one. The vibes here are just 10/10 for a family breakfast. Our toddler likes watching the model train that circles the upper windows of the restaurant. It's busy so there's lots of pleasant background noise. You can watch the traffic go by on Lakewood Blvd. Prices aren't too steep. I've ordered takeout and delivery from here as well and never had any complaints. Parking can be hard to find in the lot right next to the restaurant but can usually be found right away in the back lot. Overall, just a nice neighborhood spot to eat.

Food variety is perfect with awesome eats at Tacos Arandas (veggie friendly), Barrio (our friend Sid's favorite), Un Rinconcito Argentino (an instant hit with my Argentinian), Pana's Cafe, Panda Sal's, ChocoFaberries, Off Duty Beer + Wine and others. They even have a full arcade and ample parking in back. Service is top tier. Even the employees who help keep SteelCraft thriving are personable. Family friendly, friend group friendly, pet friendly and very welcoming of everyone. Definitely making Downtown Bellflower even more of a hub. Free Wifi. Free Parking, including street parking with no restrictions after 6pm. Live Music on certain days as well as events. Open at 7am daily at the corner of Bellflower Blvd/Oak Street. Closing hours vary, though go until 11pm Friday - Saturday, and until 9 or 10 pm on other nights. But I get that it's probably easier for spills to be soaked up so people don't slip and it's less maintenance. If you're a fur-parent don't worry, there's even a couple bowls from which your pet can get fresh water from their drinking fountain. Or just bring your own bowl and fill it up at the water station. It's really a pet friendly place. We brought our Shih Tzu along and saw another dog sitting on the bench. Food choices are good, you can enjoy a beer and burger, tacos, Filipino/Korean fusion, Coffee, Boba, Argentinian food. There's also a big screen which they televise sports games. Price wise it's about $15-$20 per person for a complete meal.

The miniature succulent on the table is a nice touch. Maria was the server for everyone and she's sweet and efficient. And I really loved the music that was playing overhead. I can't think of anywhere else I've been where they played songs that included: The Wallflowers' "The Difference," Audioslave's "Like a Stone," and Paul Young's "Every Time You Go Away." It was like they meant to play a song from almost every decade of my life. But the way we were treated here was not okay. My husband and I came in for brunch and were told there would be about a 15 minute wait. A party of 5 walked in immediately after us and was seated right away. My husband politely asked the hostess why they were seated before us. Her response was simply, "because they are a party of 5." That was it. No explanation that they had a reservation, that a certain table was specifically being held for a larger party, or anything that would have made the situation make sense. What bothered me even more was her attitude. She was rude, dismissive and made us feel like we were bothering her just by asking a completely reasonable question. I was also the only Black person in the restaurant at the time. I'm not going to claim to know what was in anyone's mind, but when you are treated differently from the people who walk in right behind you and nobody can give you a reasonable explanation for why, of course it makes you question what the difference was. We ended up leaving. We were actually looking forward to trying this place for the first time, but I'm not going to spend my money somewhere that makes me feel unwelcome. The hostess is the first impression of your restaurant, especially for a first time customer. Unfortunately, ours was a terrible one. I hope management takes this seriously because no guest should leave a restaurant wondering whether the color of their skin had something to do with how they were treated.
