Nutella French Toast, Hashbrowns, Toast, Carbonara Chilaquiles
    Vanessa W.

My boyfriend and I came here on a Sunday around 12:20 PM. It was busy, but we got seated in about 20 minutes. The place is really cute and I loved the murals. It was definitely crowded and loud, but that didn't bother me. He ordered the Nutella French Toast and I got the Carbonara Chilaquiles. The portions were huge--honestly a little too huge for him. I kept stealing bites of the plantains, which were probably my favorite thing we had. The hash browns were really good too. The food took a little while to come out, and my chilaquiles were a bit cold when I got them. They still tasted good, but I think I would have enjoyed them more if they had been hot. Overall, it was okay. I think I expected to be more impressed than I was. I'd give it another try on a slower day and maybe order something different, but it wasn't a place that immediately made me want to come back. My boyfriend wasn't really a fan, though.

Margarita flight at 9AM!! Also got the Churro French toast, chilaquiles, and the pork-rind sandwich. It is super colorful in here and positive uplifting energy as soon as you walk in the building! Great vibes here.

I went to madres brunch in uptown Whittier couple times now. I enjoy the food I usually get the chilaquiles "the green ones are my favorite". Also tried the birria sandwich, parfait and pancakes. The coffee is a hit and miss I feel like I haven't found one that I really like. The hot chocolate is so good!! Location is not that big but they do have several tables. The only thing is that sometimes they do take a little long to take out the food but I understand they are busy for the most part.

Delish food. American food, as well as, Mexican foods with a delightful fresh spin. Love their mimosa flights. Everything we've had here is do yum: green chilaquiles , breakfast sandwich, waffles with fresh fruit, Madres chilaquiles and other items. 10/10 food and drink experience Good for large parties, too.

We had a great time. The restaurant is perfect for catching up over a meal and drink during the day. It was lively and busy but the staff were attentive and checked up on us often. We did feel like it was time to ago after eating, but it comes with the territory of a busy brunch place. The food was good here and the mimosas had nice and different flavors if you're feeling adventurous.

Came to Madres Brunch in Whittier with my family after a friend highly recommended it, and I have to say -- they were absolutely right! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the great energy and positive vibes. The atmosphere is welcoming, lively, and just puts you in a good mood right away. The service was awesome -- friendly, attentive, and on point the entire time. And the food? Excellent. My compliments to the chef! Everything we ordered was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The variety on the menu is impressive -- honestly, it made me want to order more than one plate because everything looked so good. If you're in the Whittier area, do yourself a favor and stop by. I guarantee you won't regret it. Highly recommended!

The girlies wanted brunch. I hadn't been to this spot since it had been changed from it's former ownership and I was pleasantly surprised at how cute it was! We each ordered our dishes - I got the chilaquiles which were delicious! We got our mimosa flights and had a great time! Everyone enjoyed their food, and we will be back soon!

Great service! Great food! Variety of options that you won't even know what to get! Everything is really good! Drinks are also really good. Ambiance is great! 10/10!

I was here to celebrate my daughter promoting from elementary. It's been a place I been wanting to go but was worried....it was all hype. Let me tell you it's not. Service amazing all the servers were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I had the madre's chilaquiles and they were delicious. The sauce is home made has a little kick to it. Presentation is beautiful but taste matches it. My kids loved the experience and my hubby enjoyed his meal too!! Cleaned his plate ...glad I got a picture before. Definitely recommend to celebrate or have a nice meal. Then you can go shopping or go to the movies next door.

Madres was really cute. The mole chilaquiles had nice flavor however they were a little dry. I like a saucy chilaquile. We also ordered the oatmeal and that was gorgeous! Oh my gosh, so many yummy topping like nuts and fruits. The staff were very nice and attentive. Over all, I do recommend this restaurant. Perhaps for me, I'll request extra sauce on my chilaquiles to suit my taste.

Took myself on a breakfast date and found Madres Brunch on Yelp! The restaurant was good mom and pop. I would definitely come back to try other options on the menu. It was my first time and the restaurant is in a good location with parking in front and behind. I ordered the mole chilaquiles which were flavorful with a small little kick of spice. The service took a bit long to order which I would recommend being patient. Overall I had a good experience and worth checking out if you're craving chilaquiles.

Cute vibes. Came for breakfast on a Sunday and we were seated immediately. Upon leaving, there was a crowd waiting outside to be seated so they seem to get real busy after 12pm. I love the variety drink options from coffee flights to mimosa flights. I opted for their special of the day which was the Ferrer Roche Latte and it was so good! As for the food, it was mainly sweet breakfast options. We got to try the french toast, waffles, and chilaquiles. They did mess up on one of our orders but they made it right and removed it from the tab. Overall, the service was quick and they were welcoming. Cute breakfast/brunch spot for the family or even a girls brunch.

There is more outdoor seating on the covered patio than indoor seating. Both seating areas are nice. The lady who seated us was very friendly and pretty attentive and especially considering she wad handling a lot of other tables. Both the house eggs Benedict and house French toast were good. Was expecting crispy bacon on the benny considering the description, but the only difference from classic seemed to be the avocado. The benny egg and muffin were both collected well, especially the eggs they did a great job on those. Wife didn't like the flavor of the hollandaise sauce, but thought it was fine. She liked the French toast much better. You did not need syrup as the butter cream and chocolate sauce were plenty sweet on their own. Half serving is probably ok for one person, full was nice to share. The bathroom was clean, large, and single person--great for a pit stop before you head out! The mason jar waters were cool. They also serve tortilla chips with mole, which is something I haven't seen at most Mexican restaurants. The reason I can't give 5 stars is because the service has been hit or miss. We've been here three times. The first time was shortly after they opened. The food tasted decent but came out cold, and the service wasn't the best. It was during the week and not very busy, so we figured they were still working out the kinks of being a new restaurant. After some time, we decided to give them another try. We went on a busy Friday night and were seated right away. The service was much better and everything seemed to be running more smoothly. We talked with the owner who was working as well as his wife who was bartending. They were both really friendly, and the owner seemed genuinely happy that we came back after we told him about our first experience. He even gave my husband a free beer after we moved to the bar to keep drinking after we finished our meals to allow for other guests to dine at the table we were. There was also a trio playing that night which added to the ambiance and was a nice way to end the work week. Our most recent visit was a couple of weeks ago for my husband's birthday. It was during the week and once again they were short-staffed. There was only one waitress taking care of the entire restaurant. She was so sweet and hustling the whole time but she was also bartending while serving every table. We definitely had to pack our patience because she was doing the best she could. Overall, Sol 626 has so much potential to be a great spot. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are what keep bringing us back. The idea was to enjoy my coffee while getting organized--paying bills, planning calendar events, and having the opportunity to focus without any distractions from my usual surroundings. In search of the perfect spot, I turned to Yelp, a reliable resource for uncovering hidden gems nearby. Upon stepping into the coffee shop, I was immediately greeted with warm hospitality, setting the tone for a delightful experience. The ambiance of the place was truly captivating--it was bright and welcoming, infused with an aesthetic charm that instantly put me at ease. I couldn't help but be intrigued by the design elements throughout the shop, which added an inviting touch to its overall atmosphere. Before I settled in, I asked the staff if I could snap a few photos to capture the essence of this delightful space. They graciously welcomed my request, and I was shown to my table, which, quite uniquely, was designated by a number--a small detail that I found charming. As I browsed the menu, I encountered a small conundrum: I wasn't entirely sure what to order. I wanted to break the mold and try something out of the ordinary. My curiosity was piqued by their exclusive offering of Café de la Olla--a traditional hot drink that piqued my interest right away. I ultimately settled on a hearty plate that included rice, beans, and enticing potato tostones, accompanied by two beautifully cooked sunny-side-up eggs. As I waited for my order, I noticed the café was filled with the sweet sounds of old-school music from the '60s and '70s, which only enhanced the cozy ambiance while I sipped my drink. Now, let's talk about the food! I must say, I rated the café itself a solid 4 out of 5 for its overall charm, while the rice earned a respectable 4 out of 5. The beans were rich in flavor and received a fair 3.9 out of 5. The potato tostones, delicately bathed in a savory red sauce, stood out with an impressive score of 4.3 out of 5--these are a must-try if you visit! And as for the sunny-side-up eggs, they were good, but hey, eggs are eggs, right? Overall, the entire experience was quite enjoyable, from the delightful food to the warm atmosphere. A special shout-out goes to Ana, whose exceptional customer service made my visit even more memorable. The combination of fantastic service, inviting aesthetics, and satisfying food truly made for a perfect morning retreat. I can't recommend this spot enough for anyone looking for a relaxing place to unwind and focus on what matters.
