She said it's their policy to never refund food. I heard the discussion she had with the bar manager and she didn't try to help us, they both basically talked bad about us and the manager refused to take it off. About 30 minutes later, when she brought our bill, she said they would substitute them for another appetizer to go. So we did that. The place is deceiving from the outside. It looks like a nice spot, but inside it's more like a dive bar with regulars screaming at golf on tv. Service was slow and mediocre. We ordered some appetizers and side salads but were there for over an hour because she rarely ever came back to our table. It took 46 minutes to get our bill. The Bosticks were alright. Crispy on the outside. Tasted kinda sweet to me though, so they weren't my favorite. I didn't try the onion rings because the batter looked gross. Side salad with creamy Italian dressing was fine. Fries were thick but tasted ok, not very crispy. Would not ever come back or recommend.

Chateau Louise - Fried pickles. They use a really funky pickle that I suspect is home made, and it's perfectly complimented by the cracker like fried batter.

This location had an…read moreincrease of dine & dashers in the previous years and as a result, they charge you before your food comes. Not a problem. My problem is with being charged 20% gratuity that shows up in my transactions, but not on the receipt. We are made aware that a party of 6+ will automatically be charged 18%. I, one person, was automatically charged 20%, that I would've given on my own by the way, and it was wiped from my receipt. I understand paying before we are served, but we as customers deserve to tip as WE see fit, not as they see fit. I still tipped $5 just in case of the off chance that it was a mistake, or that it went to someone other than my server. I've loved this place over the years but there are better places that deserve gratuity, and that would allow me to make that decision on my own.

You pick your seafood, then your flavor, then your spice level. Such a fun and cool concept! I had the crab and crawfish and the Cajun seasoning is an absolute must try. The place inside was nice and had really cool decor for the kids to check out while eating. Great place and good food.

If you're going into this expecting that Boil Shack is going to deliver a Louisiana Crawfish Boil…read moreright here in the Glass City, you're going to be very disappointed. That said, this place isn't all that bad. The flavors of the various boils are pretty decent. They're not not Cajun...they're not even Creole...but they're decent. One thing's for sure, there won't be any vampires creeping around here...garlic is the primary flavor at the Boil Shack. I'm still tasting it, the next day. The biggest issue with this place is that the critters aren't cooked long enough for the flavors in the boils to be imparted into the critter meat. With the crawfish, this deficiency in cooking is especially apparent. True, the food comes out pretty fast. BIG TIME FAIL: Boil Shack has no beer. Boil Shack needs beer. It needs ice cold lager. It's obvious. Who ever heard of eating spicy boiled seafood, WITH YOUR HANDS, and not having beer to wash it down? If it's true, that everything is undergoing carcinization, it all makes sense: all the failed restaurants in town are evolving into crab shacks! Give this one a try, we will again, but I'm going to keep looking.
