It was the french onion burger, and it was pretty good, except that the onions on mine were not carmelized (they were raw) and the french onion soup for dipping was completely tasteless. But the steak fries were pretty good, and the ranch dressing for dipping was ok too- not the best I've had, but definitely not the worst either. And the burger itself was tasty, the bun was fresh... totally acceptable. Our waitress was just ok- she was really abrupt, didn't identify herself... but we did get our food pretty quickly so that was good. Next time I'll definitely try the pizza... read more

It's just such a fun place, and no shortage of choices on the food. You can go from comfort to upscale, depending on if there for a game or for an event. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars, is the TV's in the bar are way too loud....maybe, cut it down a bit and go with closed caption? Food great. Service great. Price great. Went for dinner last night with the boyfriend and his parents. The menu has a lot to choose from so it was hard to make a decision - went with the Chicken Oscar (4 small breaded chicken cutlets and jumbo lump crab with asparagus smothered in bearnaise sauce) with a side of spaghetti. The meal was very tasty though the bearnaise sauce was a bit bland (not sure if it's supposed to be that way..can't recall ever having bearnaise prior to this). Enough to have half of it for lunch today at work though. For an appetizer we ordered the spinach and artichoke with cheese dip - delicious! Though very hot, so if you can stand the temptation, give it a few minutes to cool. Served with carrots, celery and crispy Italian bread. Very good. They have quite a selection of bottled beer, but the draft list leaves a bit to be desired. Ordered myself a Leffe Blonde on tap then stuck with water. Boyfriend ordered the open-faced reuben which I had to steal a bite of - so incredible! Would like to go back just for sandwiches some time. She was very pleasant and started by welcoming us in and telling us about the monthly specials. Though we didn't get any, they did sound good and we may be back for some. This is my favorite place for cheesesteaks, bar none. They're a little pricier than some ($7.95 last time I was there), but to my mind, they're perfect: not too greasy, and a roll that's just the right combination of soft, chewy, and crusty. (A caveat: Maggio's was the first cheesteak I had, when I was probably 5 years old, and the only one I had for years, so I'm biased. My friends like them but say they aren't the best they've had.) Besides their cheeseteaks, the ribs are delicious. Their pizza is unique and hard to describe; maybe it's sweeter than others? In any case, people tend to love it or hate it. I love it. Their new location is HUGE and feels a little cavernous, but the service is very friendly, although it can get really slow at busy times. I rarely frequent the lounge/bar ("The Mag"), but it's my brother's favorite place to watch Eagles games. We have been here a few times and once for an office holiday party. All these times we've been in the bar area, so I haven't done the restaurant yet, but I can tell you that the food they serve at the bar is pretty darn good. There are your traditional bar food type items and then there are a few more classy type options (like the delicious 'Bang Bang Shrimp'). I am rating Maggio's on three different areas of service and all three receive 5 stars. I told my soon-to-be-husband that we were going to check out the ballroom at Maggio's. He scoffed at me and told me we weren't going to get married, "at a pizza place." As soon as we entered just the hallway of the ballroom, he ate his words. Greeted by Alison (the sweetest woman ever), we were taken into the bridal suite to discuss packages and see the ballroom. It was gorgeous and we were thrilled. Maggio's was our first destination, and despite seeing a few others, we went back to Maggio's without any doubts. Our rehearsal dinner was held in Maggio's the night before our wedding and we opted to have it in the Chef's Galley. The food was divine and the wait staff was friendly and efficient. Fast forward to our wedding day, I was so nervous about the whole set up. There I was, the bride, worrying about every aspect. I had absolutely no reason to worry. Alison had everything set up beautifully. She made sure every detail was on point to our expectations. Every friend and family member who attended our wedding remarked on how beautiful the ballroom was and how DELICIOUS the food was. It was an outstanding experience. The week after Valentine's Day, my husband and I had dinner in the restaurant part of Maggio's. It was a significantly snowy Saturday, and yet Maggio's still packed a bit of a crowd. It was no surprise. The food was outstanding. Of all the things we've eaten at Maggio's in the past month and a half, everything was delectable. Mozzarella triangles, San Remo dip, bruschetta, fettucine alfredo, chicken parm, chicken oscar (yummm!!), filet mignon, mashed potatoes, cannoli cake, cheesecake... And that's not including ALL of the food we had at our wedding!! I assure you that anything you decide to do at Maggio's, whether it be a wedding, a special event, or a simple dinner, you will be IMPRESSED!! I've been coming here for years with my family and friends. They have such a great variety of items on the menu, and the foods delicious. During any football game wings are .50 cents, and during the week apps are half off! The inside is nice and very spacious, and they also have 2 ballrooms for banquets. We got the Mozzarella sticks, Thai shrimp, and loaded fries! I will definitely be coming back soon! read more

I have been going to Maggios since its inception in Redwood village in 1976. I had not actually been to the super sized Maggios since its new incarnation. I took two younger Pizza Aficionado's to the place of many fond pizza memories. My 10 year old Nephew uttered a "wow this is the best pizza on earth response". my finicky 6 year old, budding uber gourmet said this is "maybe better than Pietros or that Difara place in NY" I love the way the sauce yr. circularized on the oozy cheese crust, the Quatro frommagio white and green and green pies are artistic and delicious! They had me at Pizza fries and great cheese steaks. The new place is a mega machine and the kitchen is an assembly line of great items. Many too many items IMHO but the pizza rocks and the steaks and hoagies rock. I was equally impressed by a wonderfully rich clam chowder that I would put up there with any Boston version I have had. I really enjoyed the Turkey grinder with real turkey breast and bacon and "Hellmans Mayo". with tomato, and onion and great bread. The servers were friendly and young, there is a bar and banquet rooms and the vibe is upbeat. It is cool and fun and family friendly. The cocktails and wine list looked deep and interesting but we did not partake this time. We ended up taking many pizzas and sandwiches and other items home as we had family in from out of town. One note and it is my bad, Pizza fies do not travel well. The meatball parm is great and the coconut shrimp are addictive!! Maggios is a a must try and we will be back soon. Eat here quite often, the food is of a good quality and the service is great. Have a few waiters that I have gotten to know and really like because they are friendly. They do happy hour 5-7 mon-fri which is normally what I go for and the appetizers are delicious. My only gripe is when ordering a frozen drink, even if I ask for it to be blended well, there are still chunks of ice in it. I have never seen this anywhere else. No idea what the issue is here. I went there for the first time today, and ordered takeout. I order the fried mozzarella, chicken noodle soup, mashed potatoes, and chicken parm. The mashed potatoes were a little bland, but good. I found pieces of potato skin in my chicken noodle soup even though the soup does not contain potatoes. The fried mozzarella and chicken parm were so salty that I couldn't finish eating it after a couple bites. If you have high blood pressure or do not enjoy eating very salty foods then I do not recommend eating here. read more

I really liked this place! The wife and I came here for dinner on a Sunday night a few weeks ago. I walked in and noticed a giant restaurant and also a nice looking bar. There was a football game on, so we decided to eat in the bar. The bar was great! lots of flat screens with different programming, as well as an HD projector set up with a giant screen. They seem to have tons of specials in the bar, so make sure to ask about those. While we were there, they had some amazing deal on beer, whether bottle, draft, or by the pitcher. They also had some appetizer or wings deal too. Ordered a pizza and the wife had some kind of chicken panini sandwich and both were actually really tasty. The pizza's marinara sauce had a sweet flavor to it that I really liked. We had dessert too which was just OK. Our friend recommended the banana cake but I guess they were having an off day because it wasn't that good. And surprisingly expensive. The cake cost more than the pitcher of beer, the pizza, or the sandwich (not together). So that was a tad disappointing, as was our server's attitude. I can't recall exactly what he said, but I remember thinking, what a jerk. They also had this "Are you smarter than a fifth grader?" challenge which was cool and super easy. I got all the answers right and got a coupon for a free entree and an entry into the drawing to win an iPad. So I'll be back if I can actually find it. After my last review (10/23/2013), the owner contacted me to apologize for the mortifying experience. In June, my mom and returned for lunch and was greeted by the owner whom we showed the Yelp message to. He thanked us for giving the restaurant another chance and assured us the staff member -- whose name will not be mentioned here -- will not be waiting our table again. This place has a little bit of everything. They have a bar, you can host a banquet, or you can just enjoy a meal. We ate 1pm on a Sunday and they were still serving breakfast. Our table thought it was weird that we had to ask for the lunch/dinner menu. The menu itself was HUGE . They had everything from pizza to sandwiches to Italian dinners. I ordered the balsamic panini. I had the option to have soup or salad and chose the salad. I asked for lemon with my salad and was disappointed to find that the salad came out with dressing ( on the side). The panini itself was great!! Very flavorful. Our table ordered onion rings which were good. The lasagna and loaded potato skins were also good. I will be back for sure! read more

I don't mean to give two stars but today's meal was simply awful I ordered the clam chowder now clam chowder should have cream helps a little bit of bacon potatoes and clams sometimes some diced onions basically that's it clam chowder. Let it simmer ever so just down till it is gorgeous and creamy clammy broth. But instead I got I a chowder with big chunks of red pepper in it! You don't put red peppers or any peppers in clam chowder. I've lived for five years in the New England and I've had clam chowder from the best. The DJ you guys had last night, April 7th, I hadn't seen in a very long time. He had that music blasting, I couldn't hear the server and the server couldn't hear me. The waiter even complained that it was very loud. I was at your place the weekend before St. Paddy's Day, and it was a lot of people, but the DJ was really good, and the music wasn't too loud. Even tho it was really crowded. He had it at a normal level. I was afraid I would get a horrible headache. I would have liked to stay longer at the bar for your 10pm happy hour, but I had to leave due to the blaring music. I am also disappointed that you guys no longer have the Southampton Woo-Woo Wings. The wings you still have are fine, but they aren't any different than any other bar. The Woo Woo wings were really different, and I'm upset you no longer offer them on your menu. read more

This is a local spot for me and one of my favorites, I come here almost every Saturday or Sunday for there breakfast. They have good prices with there buy one, get one for a dollar. I forgot, don't go on Friday night, it's a mad house. The food is delicious and fresh. It gets so busy on Friday nights that the usually excellent service falls apart a little. Tonight, our kids' food came 15 minutes after ours. They ate our sides while we waited, so it wasn't a huge deal, but typically the service is more perfectly orchestrated. The pizza is always good here, the kids adore the pizza from the kids menu (kids get to sauce and top their own pizza it is then cooked in pizza oven and delivered back to the table). Sandwiches and salads are a good mix of traditional (Caesar, house, cobb) and creative (calamari salad with mango and the asparagus caprese panini are favorites of mine). Seafood is high quality, we will keep coming back despite service inconsistencies. read more

My husband and I go to Maggio's probably every couple months. We went tonight and were beyond disappointed. I got the full rack of ribs with chili and fries and he got the BBQ chicken (double breast and leg) with chicken noodle soup and mashed potatoes. The fries were nothing like they've ever been. They were battered/coated with something and when I brought it to the waitresses attention, she said that they come in frozen and lately have been coming in in a variety of ways. She offered other sides and I got the sweet potato fries, which were no better. Both main dishes looked like the food had been tossed on the plate and doused in an entire bottle of BBQ sauce. There is just no need for that much sauce. It was dripping from the ribs. I asked for more napkins and wiped them down, and there was a puddle left on my plate. My husband's chicken was actually 4 breasts (2 doubles) and 2 leg/thigh combos. Same issue with the sauce. Between us we had a half rack of ribs, all 4 breasts and a leg/thigh left. Carried it out in a takeout box and looked at each other and tossed the leftovers in the trash. We will be taking a break from Maggio's. The quality seems to have declined, which is sad. read more

What a bad experience I had here Saturday night 10-12-19 .came in around 7:30 with my daughter she tells guy at hostess stand table for two.we waited 15 minutes then I go use bathroom.i come back from bathroom and young guy hostess is seating people that came in after us even people just walking in.My daughter politely says something to guy and he tells us all parties have to be present to be seated. I have been going to Maggio's for a while now and it has became my official "go-to" spot whenever I need a good meal and/or a good drink. All of the bartenders are outstanding (Allison, Sam, Hayley & Brenda), so any one of the four will make sure you are satisfied with your drink. Allison and Brenda especially know the menu inside and out, and will give you their honest recommendation based upon what you are in the mood for. The restaurant offers a litany of food options so it's almost impossible to not find something that will hit the spot. The atmosphere is always positive and there are always a good selection of sports game to watch on any of the TVs throughout the bar. Overall, Maggio's has always been a great spot to go get a good meal in the Bucks County area, but now with the bar being in the current condition it is in, I would recommend anyone to go into the bar portion of Maggio's and go experience firsthand everything mentioned above. You will not regret and/or be disappointed with your decision once you go to Maggio's and see it firsthand. To the two negative Yelp reviews, maybe they were having a "bad day" because neither of their posts are true and/or truly reflect how Maggio's conducts itself as a business. I would advise people to focus on the majority of positive comments/reviews left by numerous people and to go try Maggio's firsthand. Usually we will come here for dinner and even lunch but this morning he decided to stop in for a quick brunch. Everything was absolutely delicious from the omelettes, the French toast in the Panini's everything was just totally perfect. It was the worst service I've ever received. I honestly would have came back prior to talking to the manager. For me to come back I'd need an apology. I complained multiple times during the meal about the children at the two tables next to us running into our table and under my grandfather who is in his 91 (WWII veteran) feet & my other grandfather which is 84! At the end of the meal I complained to the manager saying I felt was horrible they didn't try to relocate us. I said I post how wonderful they are on yelp every year & even posted pictures. I said it stinks I couldn't say Passover was good this year. He responded by yelling at me! He turned his back on me & shouted across the room that I was horrible. We're a loyal customer of theirs & come all the time. We deserved to be treated better. I understand they can't control other's children but they could try move us so my grandfathers don't fall. read more

Maggio's is the kind of place you go to when everyone in your party wants something different. Their menu is huge and varied, which almost always equates to mediocre, as it does here. I've been here twice, first at the bar and second at the restaurant. I think sitting the bar and eating apps is the way to go. The draft list is pretty impressive here as is the bottle selection. The apps are my favorite offerings here, more specifically whatever they call their version of bang bang shrimp. Very delicious! I've heard the wings are good as well but have not tried them. I went here last week for a sit down dinner and was pretty underwhelmed. I got the chicken francaise and it was aight...nothing to write home about. The portions are big enough though, so there's that. My boyfriend really liked his seafood pasta though! I should mention the service is very friendly and attentive. Like I hypothesized, the sacrifice of a huge menu is mediocre food, but for hard to please groups this might be the place! read more

I've been coming here for at least 8 years, food is decent enough and tastes fresh. From the ballroom, to the restaurant is definitely at least 4 stars. However, the past few times I've gone there, we were placed in the 'bar room'. Starting to feel that once the front sees two young people come in, we fit the stereotype of oh lets stick them near the bar. Also, everytime they sit us in that area, there's no fresh bread! The bread is awesome by the way. Also, their prices have gone up. Not a fan of the pasta sauce so for an Italian restaurant, I wish they'd work on looking at a different recipe.
